    You're 19, and you have just lost your mom who was one of the greatest artists on the continent and you are vulnerable and open to manipulation and have money in Joburg in the early 2000s. It would be very difficult for anyone that found themselves in his situation to not go down the path that he did. It's not like uMa Brrr did not have her own demons that she had to ward off before her passing. It's a sad one all round.

      @@banziimavusotv Difference is I know where he's coming from therefore I do share some empathy.
      lost my mom a couple of years ago and also received a payout from a life insurance and pensions. Difference is I had my father and siblings and I am financially literate thanks to my mother.
      This guy was a teenager and the only child of a rich and famous singer and had no father living in a city.
      Had I been in Bongani's shoes I would have done the same if not worse and I would have probably ended up dead.

      @@Asanda82 but AKA had a father figure who couldn't advise him not to go to Durban and to act a bit more sincerely around the death of a person he claimed to love. Your point is pretty useless considering that many who have inherited monies from deceased parents in a nucleus family acted the same way when their money came.

    • @Asanda82
      @Asanda82 Рік тому +5

      @@ironfistentertainmentptylt3846 maybe you don't understand when I say a father figure guidance. For example I try to guidance and advise my son and daughter on numerous things especially while they're young. Like my father did with me, but that doesn't mean they will live a perfect live without faults and mistakes, just like myself I've made mistakes. Just like AKA did. Coming from a nucluous family doesn't mean you'll have a perfect life or won't make mistakes. So as having a father who's absent even though you are in the same household. I've seen too many often in townships successful entrepreneurs who make something out of nothing, most times they are too busy succeeding and they neglect their children and not pass down the knowledge to their children.
      When I said uBongani lacked a father figure who would guide him through his forming years before he could be an adult himself, you can see some of the mistakes he's made that if he had parents that were there for him, he wouldn't have made them. His mother was a superstar but due to stardom and what comes with it, she was never fully there for him.
      Yes, there are people who make it in life who never had the privilege of having both parents or no parents at all, those are the exceptions, I'm generalizing here and the majority especially young boys who lack a fatherly figure's guidance are the results of the society we have nowadays.

      People don't realise that your manager gets a fee for fixed hours and responsibilities.
      Once he's running after you after hours on non-work related duties, he can bill the estate.
      Clubs call him about a bill/Restaurants complain about damage/ Property manager complains about utilities unpaid/People threatening to expose your drug habit/ Recording studios want more money because you're bringing in your friends to record etc...
      All of that means your agent is managing your career (fixed income) but now he's responsible for your personal life and your reckless habits (sundry billing he can legally claim from the estate).

Yes on the other hand we can still say that he needs to take responsibility n stop blaming others, true. Just know that him taking responsibility is him dusting himself, he is only now telling you how he ended up where he is at right now.
