Wise words Ken. I always found Japanese culture and attention to detail and ceremony inspiring ! Where small details and people are treated with respect - something profoundly missing in Western culture which is more and more crumbling down.

I am currently sweating in 89 degree weather, I just hauled my water jugs with a wagon earlier , I have been denied for applications, not paid on UA-cam after years of teaching and making sing along songs, and mistreated by the people , I have prayed for access to water and electricity for my home, but I need enough money , I have a brain injury and severe trauma from the past that I overcame, I am committed to the heavens, but the heavens neglects my value , I like the concepts you taught , very good. I have applied these concepts in similar ways, but I will try this in your way had written the kintsugi japanese letters on the paper for the heavens to look upon, perhaps the heavens will care for me then ?

Or let’s take the singer Lizzo: be proud of being morbidly obese but then lose the weight…? Or be proud of being a prostitute but then quit the business? Be proud of being an abuser and then stop beating and threatening people who are weaker than you? Being proud of your mistakes and shortcomings is just so tough in many cases…. I am struggling with this concept.
