Respected Mam, While 1 year old, my son was good at eye contact, speaking and social interaction. But at the age of 2.5 we realized he doesn't respond to name, no social smile or interaction due to 8 hours of screen time. We took him to grandparents house where there were 15 people and he lived there for 2 months. He started interacting and now he is 3 years and 4 months old. He understands all emotions, he makes sentences like let's go to kitchen, I want banana, i want that, it's mine and he responds to what, where questions and can convert some pronouns too. Social smile is good. He used to keep toys and shoes in line but from the last 2 months he keeps colors in rainbow. I told him rainbows are bad and now he aviids it. Any suggestionor comments?

Hi ina tell me is speech apraxia leads to poor or nil language development? Do i need to do anything extra than administering speech therapies on my son.. He is undergoing speech therapy from last 1 year..no words yet
Yes its true it leads to verbal processing issues sometimes kids are unable to produce words or have trouble producing sounds even to say what they wish to say its like a sound processing disorder auch kids have a very less vocabulary and a very poor articulation and immediate echolalia.. how much time apart from speech therapy is ur baby undergoing OT? And how much time on speech therapy at home? Actually OT has a bound motivation or u can say play therapy has a bound motivation which compels kid to communicate or to produce words that is the reason i asked about how much time at home or OT.. u need to involve and engage in pretend play to help him have words and sounds.. if u wish there are two videos on my channel occupational therapy at home and pretend play in autism those two videos would give u an idea.. only speech therapy does not add up to motivation for a child .. its very robotic and on repeat the similar thing happens which any individual be it typical or atypical would not find intresting

My kido is 2.5 years old she addresses me nd other family members too, her respond to name and eye contact are just ok ok, she talk in two word phrases and sometimes produce functional echolalia but my main concern is she don't try to use any pronoun like I, me, you..... should I need to worry???? Because most of the kids are pro in using pronouns at this stage.

Hi Ina.. My 3yrs old boy calls me mummy, his baba, nani, aunt also mummy, but sometimes when I correct him as he is baba, then he says baba, but again address him as mummy. Now he has average eye contact, responds to his name, eats by his own, when he feels to pee, he just pull out his pant, but from book he learns all shapes, colous, ABC, numbers, animals, fruits, flowers, vegetables, he also rolls roti, makes dosa himself, wears his shoes, sometimes says bye bye, but not always, good with strangers, no screen since one month, eating habits is very good. But when he wants something he just pull our hands and says mummy and go to that place and raise his hand to give him. He obey commands, also knows how to insert keys of scooter and start the scooter. But no day to day talking. Please Ina suggest me what to do. He brush his teeth, cleans his tongue also. He cleans car also, but does not say anything. He loves to kiss me, his baba, mausi and cousin also. Sometimes says I Love you and happy birthday. Sings situation wise rhymes. What is his problem, plz elaborate.Also he has one problem he never wears cap and also he is not letting us to wear any cap or dupatta. He immediately pull out that dupatta on head.
Its okay all the kids on spectrum have issues with one or other thing if he does not like cap dont wear it.. now start working on her understanding and receptive language only take five three words commands and sentence and work on those for a week then add two more sentence then more and increase his vocabulary post that start working on imitation that qhatever u are saying he repeats .. watch speech and language development video u will know about it

Respected Mam, While 1 year old, my son was good at eye contact, speaking and social interaction. But at the age of 2.5 we realized he doesn't respond to name, no social smile or interaction due to 8 hours of screen time. We took him to grandparents house where there were 15 people and he lived there for 2 months. He started interacting and now he is 3 years and 4 months old. He understands all emotions, he makes sentences like let's go to kitchen, I want banana, i want that, it's mine and he responds to what, where questions and can convert some pronouns too. Social smile is good. He used to keep toys and shoes in line but from the last 2 months he keeps colors in rainbow. I told him rainbows are bad and now he aviids it. Any suggestionor comments?

Yes its true it leads to verbal processing issues sometimes kids are unable to produce words or have trouble producing sounds even to say what they wish to say its like a sound processing disorder auch kids have a very less vocabulary and a very poor articulation and immediate echolalia.. how much time apart from speech therapy is ur baby undergoing OT? And how much time on speech therapy at home? Actually OT has a bound motivation or u can say play therapy has a bound motivation which compels kid to communicate or to produce words that is the reason i asked about how much time at home or OT.. u need to involve and engage in pretend play to help him have words and sounds.. if u wish there are two videos on my channel occupational therapy at home and pretend play in autism those two videos would give u an idea.. only speech therapy does not add up to motivation for a child .. its very robotic and on repeat the similar thing happens which any individual be it typical or atypical would not find intresting

Mam mera beta jab 6 month ka tha tab se wo 4 to 5 hours mobile dekha tha...ab wo 3.6 years ka hai....usme mujhe autism jaise symptoms dikhe....fir maine mobile nhi diya 2 month tak....ab wo apna name response krne lga hai..eye contact dene lga hai....park me enjoy krne lga hai....pahle khana bhi nhi Khatami tha ab khane lga hai.....maine koi therapy nhi li hai abhi tak.....mam kya ye virtual autism ho skta hai......

My kido is 2.5 years old she addresses me nd other family members too, her respond to name and eye contact are just ok ok, she talk in two word phrases and sometimes produce functional echolalia but my main concern is she don't try to use any pronoun like I, me, you..... should I need to worry???? Because most of the kids are pro in using pronouns at this stage.
Pls work on her language development.. she is very young and will learn very quickly.. keep a check on her because kids sometimes regress in language

Mera son 12 13 months mye he was responding to name eye contact was good .. after 13 months his mobile and tv screen time become more and now he's not responding to name and don't talk as well.. now he's 18 months. per agar bahar ja raha hai vo helmet lake dega bahar le jana k liye ishara karega and also kuch body parts pucho tho dhikayega. . Kuch ishara samjega .. muje boht confuse ho raha hai ki use autism or speech delay
Response to name and eye contact are biggest red flags which can let us know also self stimulation activities.. but dont wait for the diagnosis start working with him

Hi Ina.. My 3yrs old boy calls me mummy, his baba, nani, aunt also mummy, but sometimes when I correct him as he is baba, then he says baba, but again address him as mummy. Now he has average eye contact, responds to his name, eats by his own, when he feels to pee, he just pull out his pant, but from book he learns all shapes, colous, ABC, numbers, animals, fruits, flowers, vegetables, he also rolls roti, makes dosa himself, wears his shoes, sometimes says bye bye, but not always, good with strangers, no screen since one month, eating habits is very good. But when he wants something he just pull our hands and says mummy and go to that place and raise his hand to give him. He obey commands, also knows how to insert keys of scooter and start the scooter. But no day to day talking. Please Ina suggest me what to do. He brush his teeth, cleans his tongue also. He cleans car also, but does not say anything. He loves to kiss me, his baba, mausi and cousin also. Sometimes says I Love you and happy birthday. Sings situation wise rhymes. What is his problem, plz elaborate.Also he has one problem he never wears cap and also he is not letting us to wear any cap or dupatta. He immediately pull out that dupatta on head.
Its okay all the kids on spectrum have issues with one or other thing if he does not like cap dont wear it.. now start working on her understanding and receptive language only take five three words commands and sentence and work on those for a week then add two more sentence then more and increase his vocabulary post that start working on imitation that qhatever u are saying he repeats .. watch speech and language development video u will know about it
