If you look at the About section of their profile it says "The premiere partner network for monetizing cover videos on UA-cam." which implies more of a company situation than individuals and most companies don't give a flip about the comments on their youtube videos and are unlikely to make note of any actual criticism or feedback offered by way of them. Also, arguably, the criticism of the background singers is feedback for the creators. You are not required to add nice comments to balance out the negative, especially if your overall view of the product (in this case the karaoke videos) is that it is bad, which seems to be the case with the people commenting on the background singers.

When performing Karaoke you are meant to take the place of the lead singer or singers, not every singer involved in the song. What you are thinking of is an Instrumental track, those will only have the instruments. However, an instrumental track is not specifically for you to sing along to and may not be exactly the same as the version of the song you are used to.

In a harmony, the lower pitch is supposed to harmonize with the higher pitch, hence the name; however, in this karaoke, the higher pitch is TOO high and unless your voice is moderately high as well, it doesn't sound right. Plus the backing vocals in this video sing practically the whole song so it's almost as if WE are the backing vocals and it throws us off if we want to sing the whole song.
I know a lot more about music than you do, sweetie. I'm doing music GCSE and currently working at a B grade but on some of the exams I have done, I got an A. I sing solos, duets and I've even sang as a trio before. I understand very well about harmonies.
If you can't sing because the background singers are singing in an other pitch, don't blame it on them, just practise your musical ear and learn to sing in harmony...
