I remember watching his videos like 5 years ago when I first told myself that I really wanted to learn English back when I was teenager. Now, I'm 22 years old, studying English professionally, not just for learning the language but to become a teacher of English. How life gives you lemons and you take them! 😄

@@yessirerick Hey thanks man! I appreciate your kind words. I was 14 years old actually when I started learning English in 2013. In highschool I remember when my brother's teacher suggested him to download a language learning app, my brother then talked to me about it, I played it and I instantly fell in love with it and with the language too because it was more kind of a challenging yet fun at the same time. 😊

First thing you need to realize is that English is a language.
It is not a subject you can learn.
The reason why you are still not fluent in English is that you are thinking about it as an obstacle.
It's a language, just like your native one.
You need to stop studying it, and start using it.
Use it for something fun, interesting and useful.
Doing exercises in it is the best way to be an English learner forever.
    Start using it.

do you guys think those three methods are actually help your in improving english? um.. in my opinion, there are two ways i used to getting my english better than better.
first, "open your mouth". my first english teacher who comes from New Zealand(i admitted she has kiwi accent but it does not matter) the first thing she teach me is that speak out. i know lots of people are afraid of talk to another people in english. but to me? lol i don't give fuck. before i learn english. i had only known three words 'hi, fuck and shit' those three typical words are such a official language in the world. any way, i was spending 5 hours to talk to english people for learning english. this is more useful than text book. so don't be shy, afraid or feeling weird when you speaking english. i know there will be some foolish people laughing at your accent but not at all.
second, reading book. i was reading a book every night even the comic book. because you need to consider that one day u could study in english university and there are numbers of assessment you have to finish. so reading book can help you organise the sentences and correct grammar. there is one important thing u you to know speaking is not equal to writing. they are both totally different. speaking is speaking. writing is just writing.
    addition:
listen to radio such as bbc or local radio for improving your listening. don't be mess up. because there are five english countries for example, american, british, kiwi and so on and they have their own accent. so if you are in the states just listen to their radios.
be simple in speaking and writing, simple is perfect.

I'm also teaching adults English and many of my students have expressed this frustration. i'm 19 years old and i'm studying english 9 years... i'm not a good student but i never had big problems with english.. but i just wanted to let you know guys.. that i never learned as much english as i did when i started (2 years ago) to watch american And british UA-cam videos And movies.. i actually watched all of this movies with original sound and english subtitles just to make sure what exactly are the actors saying.. it is really effective method and you can learn new words because every movie is about something different.. and it's even better if you seen the movie in your native language..

I'm currently using "Radio" method which is not included in the list you are talking of though it's really amazing. What it is about ? Listen to radio everyday, the key is that you get information and learn english and improve your vocabulary by adding frequently used words onto it.

So you guys are probably gonna be like: shut up but here I am. I am Dutch (not very relevant but it will make sense later) and so movies, series and almost everything surrounding me is or English or French. Not many things are actually in Dutch. That way I cannot escape it. What I noticed is that just watching your favourite show and series without subtitles or with even. You won't notice it and you aren't 'actively' learning English. Also putting sticky notes of English words on normal items like doorknobs and it will be normal for your brain to see it as a doorknob just as much as deurklink. For me that helped because you kinda have to play you games in English- even as a seven-year-old- it just isn't available in Dutch. Speaking helps a lot too. Maybe you do it wrong but it will help you. Just as writing! I write books now and I see myself improving. If you find something you love go do it in English. It will really help you. Also grammerly! If you use this when writing you can see every mistake and grammer mistakes when you're typing. Hope this might help you!
