"Droidhead" is a nickname Herta gave to Nous, the Aeon of Erudition. Aeons are the gods of this universe. Herta is a follower of Nous, one that is directly recognized by them and can channel Nous' power (because they allow her to).
Pretty sure it's not just a nickname, but an actual title, considering it has appeared in several SU records, and even Fu Xuan, who has no contact with herta, has called him "Droidhead"

Herta’s character trailer should be out today or tomorrow so would be nice if you could react to that and her animated short! Also 3.0 starts tomorrow so i’m super hyped! From the lore we know so far all the Titans got corrupted by “something” and we’re basically defeating them to take their power and restore the new world . Funny enough, you already watched the first Amphoreus trailer that would set the tone for the ones you watched today, back a month ago. It was "Golden Epic Trailer - "Amphoreus' Saga of Heroes"" which brought up the main cast, and the titans origins that helped shape Amphoreus until a "heretical black tide" came from outside the system As some others have already mentioned, these are part of 3.0, the next major story arc set in Amphoreus. I for one am very excited for it, they realized that people like the main story, so instead of the 4 main story patches that Penacony had, they are having eight! story patches for Amphoreus
I don't think I've ever been so rewarded by a game for playing a low tier character like I have with Herta. She was a character available for free at launch, and since she was the only thing close to an Ice DPS I could get my hands on, I built her up and used her a bunch. Even when I pulled Seele, the first limited 5 star, I kept using Herta despite how low tier she was because I could see the potential she had. Thing is she's generally weak, but against enemies who keep summoning more enemies, she was quite good Eventually, we got Pure Fiction, the mob wave clearing mode, and over night she became one of the best characters in the game and remains so to this day. And now we're getting her upgraded form, The Herta, who works with the original Herta! I'm so happy I'm beside myself, just like Herta!
I have been following your content for more than a year now and this is the first time I am leaving a comment on your video. You do an amazing job. Keep up the good work. I also play Honkai Star Rail and I want to tell you that these trailers not always depicts stories and lore. Sometimes, they are very philosophical and connected to the lore of the game. A few observations to help Luke understand the videos he just watched: - Trying to explain the Fugue (pronounced "few gh") trailers without spoiling anything is hard. All I'm gonna say is that her real name is Tingyun, and that this time, it's *actually her*. - Huh, it's funny that you thought the singer from the Nameless Faces video sounds familiar... because it's Lilas Ikuta from YOASOBI! You probably didn't recognize her right away because she was singing in english instead of japanese hahahahaha - All those trailers that look like they're telling about stories from Greek or Roman mythology are trailers for the upcoming 3.0 update (which launches later today!!!). The game so far has four worlds: Herta Space Station, Jarilo-VI, The Xianzhou Luofu, and Penacony. And the 3.0 update will introduce The Eternal Land, AKA "Amphoreus". It's heavily inspired by greek and roman mythology, and is packed with Honkai Impact 3rd references. - Herta is a member of the Genius Society, one of HSR's factions, and a follower of Nous the Erudition. Nous is an Aeon (the gods of the HSR universe), and Herta is one of its Emanators (people that were recognized by an Aeon and can directly wield their power to an extent). "Droidhead" is a nickname she gave to him, because Nous is literally a supercomputer that ascended to become a god. Herta is literally immortal because she figured out how to de-age her body, and lives in total seclusion, only interacting with other people through her puppets, which look like her when she was a child. But for the 3.0 update, she is finally revealing her true self, which is her adult, witch/magical girl form you saw in her trailer. --- For next week, Luke, there are two videos you can react to: The Herta's Animated Short, and her Character Trailer, that came out a few hours ago. All but the first two trailers you watched (those involving Fugue) are actually the promotion for the new 3.0 patch coming out on the 15th. 3.0 is introducing us to a new planet, Amphoreus, which is Greek and Roman themed. This new planet seems to focus on the concepts of Time, Godhood, Heros, and Memories. To the point that the theory is that Amphoreus is ether caught in a time loop or might only be the Memory of a world that's been destroyed. I'm expecting a lot of time travel to be involved. We of course don't know for sure but will know soon when it releases this week. There's also the fact that it seems to be Star Rail's version of the Flame Chasers arc from Impact 3rd which is one of the more popular arcs from HI3 and was particularly tragic so we're all expecting a wild ride.

I'm pretty sure he said it multiple times before, but please give specific recommendations. A list full of stuff doesn't really help him, since he doesn't know which ones to pick from the list.
HSR's setting is that the protagonist and his companions travel from world/planet to world/planet with the Astral Express. And those worlds are all vastly different from each other. In 3.0, which drops today, Amphoreus is the newest world we visit. Though Amphoreus is a special case, because they essentially have a completely different pantheon they worship (the Titans) rather than the Aeons worshipped by most worlds.
Amphoreus has basically existed in isolation all this time, and while they're not necessarily _primitive_ in all technological aspects, their lack of communication with the the advanced intergalactic society beyond their atmosphere has also separated their culture from the otherwise universe "common sense" regarding the higher powers and forces that exist. So this is essentially our first story arc visiting an actual frontier world of sorts, with its own local religions, mythology, and "gods" not yet dyed in the colors of the rest of the cosmos, so to speak. The titans probably don't come remotely measure up to the aeons in scale and relevance, but they're all the people of Amphoreus have ever known, and in the absence of other beings of power the influence of this new pantheon is greatly felt.
This will be a year long continuous story, making it the longest story in star rail, maybe even all of hoyoverse, and the first of eight parts comes out in a little over a day. Personally Im super excited to see where the story goes with all the trailers hyping it up.
I'm here to answer your question about "Droidhead". . It is a silly nickname Herta gave to Nous - Aeon of Erudition - who is basically the god of knowledge in Honkai Star Rail world, they know everything in the Universe (called "they" because Aeon has no gender). Herta is an Emanator of Erudition - you can think she's a subordinate of Nous. And since she's so thrived of knowledge, she has been always asking questions toward her Aeon - Nous, but Nous refuses to answer her problems and remains silent. Then, she started calling Nous "Droidhead" as a way to diss them. . Moreover, since her "boss" never teach her anything, she has to do everything herself, end up with so many Research works that affect the whole Universe. The de-aging part in the video, well, she's actually de-aged herself and acquired agelessness since she needs so much time, but human life is limited. . To summarize what kind of person Herta is, we could say she's a mad scientist with the scale of Universe level. . By the way, the glowing eye you see is not an eye, it's actually Nous's ear XD, Nous face is on the side, and it's really similar to a human face -> "Droidhead"
"Droidhead" is the god of knowledge THEMSELF. Herta is the emanator of Erudition which to explain it simply means that the Aeon (God) of knowledge was so impressed by her hunger for knowledge that THEY made her THEIR right hand. The process of an Aeon (God) choosing someone to be an emanator is called "bestowing THEIR gaze". I tried to apply it in this comment but the hint I can give for the future is that every Aeon can be recognised by Star Rail addressing them as THEM in all caps. Amphoreus is the new big update where we go there and the story will at least be as epic as Penacony it will be a "heartwarming Story" and it has many many similaritys to the Flame Chaser of honkai Impact 3rd 15:18 this trailer is sung by Yoasobi
Highly recommend you to start up Star Rail (or any Hoyoverse game) very soon if you want to take advantage of the free stuff that they're giving out because of Lunar New Years. The Amphoreus patch drops on the 15th. Most of us also won't tell you the story behind Tingyun because it's huge story spoilers, so if you want to play it for yourself eventually...
Fugue is the 5 star version of Tingyun and if you want her trailer explained you'll have to play through the main story from the second planet on. 16:44. No way are we finally getting some of March 7th's backstory finally
Long story as short as possible, Tingyun was a character we met pretty early in Star Rail, but it turned out that the Tingyun we met was an imposter, and the real one was missing and presumed dead. In this update we found out that while she was "destroyed" her killer, that very large lady you mentioned, kept her ever so slightly alive enough to suffer. Because of this, she was able to be restored, but at the cost of many physical and emotional scars. Tingyun now has to reconcile with everyone already having said goodbye, thinking she was dead, and meeting new friends who know "her" from the imposter but who she's never met. It's very.... complicated.
OP means opening, ED means ending, for context why Honkai Star Rail trailers might feel confusing watching next to each other, best way I can describe HSR as a game is that it's a space odyssey, every planet's got a genre theme to it and a story tied with it. Each planet also comes with an OP that HSR makes to feel like a new Anime series, you've actually reacted to some of them before like "White Night". Enjoy HSR when you get the chance to play it, there's plenty of memorable moments to experience.
As far as the Fugue trailer goes, here's a TL:DR She got not-quite murdered (long story) and her identity stolen. She was resurrected, but modified into a Kitsune from a normal foxgirl by her resurrection, so she doesn't feel like 'her' anymore. She can't go home (that's what the resurrecter wanted, but she doesn't want to be a pawn in their politcal games) and she has nothing left. Hence the command to 'go' from her past selves. She's going out to see the universe and cross out that bucket list come hell or high water

The multiple Fugues/Tingyuns at the beginning kind of are different aspects of her personality, the evil one is someone else controlling her. Also you actually watched another OP before, it was called WHITE NIGHT.

Without spoiling the trajectory of the Honkai series, I would say the devs are leaning towards crossing all the Honkai fates together. The Honkai-verse may be a real thing.
Tingyun was the first character killed off in HSR by Phantylia who possessed her body and tried to disintegrate her very being. Ruan Mei is one of the geniuses under Nous who reconstructed Tingyun's body to save her life. Tingyun was essentially reborn as Fugue and is recovering her fragmented memories.
It's even a little sad that for potential new players, the content on Fuga contains some pretty serious spoilers to the main plot of past versions, but there's no other way to introduce this character to the public By the way, her name is taken from the eponymous name of a rather interesting mental illness, the description of which partially describes what this character is as well And fun fact, “Droidhead” Nus was created by humans before it became an aeon of erudition, going far beyond human capabilities and understanding And yes, it's literally a giant self-evolving computer drifting in space, consumed with learning everything for the sake of learning everything, and because of the outward resemblance of this computer to a droid head, Herta came up with this nickname
SPOILERS (if you're not gonna play, doesn't matter) ... ... 4:00 Tingyun is IIRC the first person we meet on boarding the Xianzhou Loufu and guides us through the first part of the story, but she isn't really Tingyun That "big lady I've seen before" is the one who "kills" her and takes her form, before we even meet, to cause great harm to the Loufu; her deception being revealed when she kills the Tingyun puppet she's been inhabiting in front of us in a VERY shocking scene. For months we didn't know if the real Tingyun was alive or dead. We got the answer to that in the most recent patch.

TLDR Tingyun when we first met her wasn't actually tingyun it was phantillia using her likeness thinking she killed tingyun but Ruan mei managed to save her although she was still damaged by the destruction. the name she has in game Fugue also shows this as its meaning is "a loss of awareness of one's identity"
Fugue's trailer won't make sense without knowing the backstory. She was forced to play an important role in the story and went through a traumatic experience because of this. Also, just noticed this watching your reaction -- the "Ancient Hymn" trailer seems majorly influenced by the opening to elden ring.
For hoyoverse games : the easiest to get into would be Zenless zone zero since it’s relatively new so high quality performance and shorter story to go through Honkai impact 3rd is the best story they have in my opinion but it would take you the longest as it’s a bit outdated ( 8 years old game ) with a 150+ hour story so you would need to be ready to take on the project
Just...play the game, it will be very hard to understand if you don't. To explain the whole thing without that many spoilers, Tingyun, the fox lady, was used and got her body stolen by that big lady phantiliya, she was missing for the whole time we knew her, her name was Tingyun and still is, but now Ruan Mei found her and she is a now Fugue, a state where someone lost their sense of identity. To put it simply, she was reborn and now lives life to experience the world because her body was stolen. I could be wrong because I haven't played the quest yet but I think I'm about right

Funny enough, you already watched the first Amphoreus trailer that would set the tone for the ones you watched today, back a month ago. It was "Golden Epic Trailer - "Amphoreus' Saga of Heroes"" which brought up the main cast, and the titans origins that helped shape Amphoreus until a "heretical black tide" came from outside the system
As some others have already mentioned, these are part of 3.0, the next major story arc set in Amphoreus. I for one am very excited for it, they realized that people like the main story, so instead of the 4 main story patches that Penacony had, they are having eight! story patches for Amphoreus
I don't think I've ever been so rewarded by a game for playing a low tier character like I have with Herta. She was a character available for free at launch, and since she was the only thing close to an Ice DPS I could get my hands on, I built her up and used her a bunch. Even when I pulled Seele, the first limited 5 star, I kept using Herta despite how low tier she was because I could see the potential she had. Thing is she's generally weak, but against enemies who keep summoning more enemies, she was quite good
Eventually, we got Pure Fiction, the mob wave clearing mode, and over night she became one of the best characters in the game and remains so to this day. And now we're getting her upgraded form, The Herta, who works with the original Herta! I'm so happy I'm beside myself, just like Herta!

There are a character back in 1.1-1.3 named tingyun that's the fox girl but turns out she is being controlled by the main boss of the second planet named phantylia she somewhat died

A few observations to help Luke understand the videos he just watched:
- Trying to explain the Fugue (pronounced "few gh") trailers without spoiling anything is hard. All I'm gonna say is that her real name is Tingyun, and that this time, it's *actually her*.
- Huh, it's funny that you thought the singer from the Nameless Faces video sounds familiar... because it's Lilas Ikuta from YOASOBI! You probably didn't recognize her right away because she was singing in english instead of japanese hahahahaha
- All those trailers that look like they're telling about stories from Greek or Roman mythology are trailers for the upcoming 3.0 update (which launches later today!!!). The game so far has four worlds: Herta Space Station, Jarilo-VI, The Xianzhou Luofu, and Penacony. And the 3.0 update will introduce The Eternal Land, AKA "Amphoreus". It's heavily inspired by greek and roman mythology, and is packed with Honkai Impact 3rd references.
- Herta is a member of the Genius Society, one of HSR's factions, and a follower of Nous the Erudition. Nous is an Aeon (the gods of the HSR universe), and Herta is one of its Emanators (people that were recognized by an Aeon and can directly wield their power to an extent). "Droidhead" is a nickname she gave to him, because Nous is literally a supercomputer that ascended to become a god. Herta is literally immortal because she figured out how to de-age her body, and lives in total seclusion, only interacting with other people through her puppets, which look like her when she was a child. But for the 3.0 update, she is finally revealing her true self, which is her adult, witch/magical girl form you saw in her trailer.

All but the first two trailers you watched (those involving Fugue) are actually the promotion for the new 3.0 patch coming out on the 15th.
3.0 is introducing us to a new planet, Amphoreus, which is Greek and Roman themed.
This new planet seems to focus on the concepts of Time, Godhood, Heros, and Memories. To the point that the theory is that Amphoreus is ether caught in a time loop or might only be the Memory of a world that's been destroyed. I'm expecting a lot of time travel to be involved.
We of course don't know for sure but will know soon when it releases this week.
There's also the fact that it seems to be Star Rail's version of the Flame Chasers arc from Impact 3rd which is one of the more popular arcs from HI3 and was particularly tragic so we're all expecting a wild ride.

I'm pretty sure he said it multiple times before, but please give specific recommendations. A list full of stuff doesn't really help him, since he doesn't know which ones to pick from the list.
HSR's setting is that the protagonist and his companions travel from world/planet to world/planet with the Astral Express. And those worlds are all vastly different from each other. In 3.0, which drops today, Amphoreus is the newest world we visit. Though Amphoreus is a special case, because they essentially have a completely different pantheon they worship (the Titans) rather than the Aeons worshipped by most worlds.
Amphoreus has basically existed in isolation all this time, and while they're not necessarily _primitive_ in all technological aspects, their lack of communication with the the advanced intergalactic society beyond their atmosphere has also separated their culture from the otherwise universe "common sense" regarding the higher powers and forces that exist.
So this is essentially our first story arc visiting an actual frontier world of sorts, with its own local religions, mythology, and "gods" not yet dyed in the colors of the rest of the cosmos, so to speak. The titans probably don't come remotely measure up to the aeons in scale and relevance, but they're all the people of Amphoreus have ever known, and in the absence of other beings of power the influence of this new pantheon is greatly felt.
This will be a year long continuous story, making it the longest story in star rail, maybe even all of hoyoverse, and the first of eight parts comes out in a little over a day. Personally Im super excited to see where the story goes with all the trailers hyping it up.
I'm here to answer your question about "Droidhead".

It is a silly nickname Herta gave to Nous - Aeon of Erudition - who is basically the god of knowledge in Honkai Star Rail world, they know everything in the Universe (called "they" because Aeon has no gender). Herta is an Emanator of Erudition - you can think she's a subordinate of Nous. And since she's so thrived of knowledge, she has been always asking questions toward her Aeon - Nous, but Nous refuses to answer her problems and remains silent. Then, she started calling Nous "Droidhead" as a way to diss them.

Moreover, since her "boss" never teach her anything, she has to do everything herself, end up with so many Research works that affect the whole Universe. The de-aging part in the video, well, she's actually de-aged herself and acquired agelessness since she needs so much time, but human life is limited.

To summarize what kind of person Herta is, we could say she's a mad scientist with the scale of Universe level.

By the way, the glowing eye you see is not an eye, it's actually Nous's ear XD, Nous face is on the side, and it's really similar to a human face -> "Droidhead"

"Droidhead" is the god of knowledge THEMSELF. Herta is the emanator of Erudition which to explain it simply means that the Aeon (God) of knowledge was so impressed by her hunger for knowledge that THEY made her THEIR right hand.
The process of an Aeon (God) choosing someone to be an emanator is called "bestowing THEIR gaze".
I tried to apply it in this comment but the hint I can give for the future is that every Aeon can be recognised by Star Rail addressing them as THEM in all caps.

Briefly about the last part of Star Rail:

- Yes.
Long story as short as possible, Tingyun was a character we met pretty early in Star Rail, but it turned out that the Tingyun we met was an imposter, and the real one was missing and presumed dead. In this update we found out that while she was "destroyed" her killer, that very large lady you mentioned, kept her ever so slightly alive enough to suffer. Because of this, she was able to be restored, but at the cost of many physical and emotional scars. Tingyun now has to reconcile with everyone already having said goodbye, thinking she was dead, and meeting new friends who know "her" from the imposter but who she's never met. It's very.... complicated.

OP means opening, ED means ending, for context why Honkai Star Rail trailers might feel confusing watching next to each other, best way I can describe HSR as a game is that it's a space odyssey, every planet's got a genre theme to it and a story tied with it.
Each planet also comes with an OP that HSR makes to feel like a new Anime series, you've actually reacted to some of them before like "White Night".
Enjoy HSR when you get the chance to play it, there's plenty of memorable moments to experience.

As far as the Fugue trailer goes, here's a TL:DR
She got not-quite murdered (long story) and her identity stolen. She was resurrected, but modified into a Kitsune from a normal foxgirl by her resurrection, so she doesn't feel like 'her' anymore.
She can't go home (that's what the resurrecter wanted, but she doesn't want to be a pawn in their politcal games) and she has nothing left. Hence the command to 'go' from her past selves. She's going out to see the universe and cross out that bucket list come hell or high water
Since next monday is probably gonna be more Herta stuff(the animated short and her character trailer) anyway, you could also react to THE HERTA SONG - "Lifelike" by HalaCG.

The first trailer was more of a metaphorical representation of Tingyun's mind. Those ghostly versions of her were her memories.
Tingyun was the first character killed off in HSR by Phantylia who possessed her body and tried to disintegrate her very being. Ruan Mei is one of the geniuses under Nous who reconstructed Tingyun's body to save her life. Tingyun was essentially reborn as Fugue and is recovering her fragmented memories.

It's even a little sad that for potential new players, the content on Fuga contains some pretty serious spoilers to the main plot of past versions, but there's no other way to introduce this character to the public

4:00 Tingyun is IIRC the first person we meet on boarding the Xianzhou Loufu and guides us through the first part of the story, but she isn't really Tingyun That "big lady I've seen before" is the one who "kills" her and takes her form, before we even meet, to cause great harm to the Loufu; her deception being revealed when she kills the Tingyun puppet she's been inhabiting in front of us in a VERY shocking scene. For months we didn't know if the real Tingyun was alive or dead. We got the answer to that in the most recent patch.

TLDR Tingyun when we first met her wasn't actually tingyun it was phantillia using her likeness thinking she killed tingyun but Ruan mei managed to save her although she was still damaged by the destruction. the name she has in game Fugue also shows this as its meaning is "a loss of awareness of one's identity"

For hoyoverse games : the easiest to get into would be Zenless zone zero since it’s relatively new so high quality performance and shorter story to go through
Honkai impact 3rd is the best story they have in my opinion but it would take you the longest as it’s a bit outdated ( 8 years old game ) with a 150+ hour story so you would need to be ready to take on the project

Just...play the game, it will be very hard to understand if you don't. To explain the whole thing without that many spoilers, Tingyun, the fox lady, was used and got her body stolen by that big lady phantiliya, she was missing for the whole time we knew her, her name was Tingyun and still is, but now Ruan Mei found her and she is a now Fugue, a state where someone lost their sense of identity. To put it simply, she was reborn and now lives life to experience the world because her body was stolen. I could be wrong because I haven't played the quest yet but I think I'm about right
