The mangle ends up looking like it's in perpetual pain and emotional distress. I FUCKING LOVE IT. EXACTLY THE CORRECT VIBE. I just wanna snuggle up and hear it's silent screams as I lookinto it's dead eyes.
I love being fully aware of how fucking difficult the withered plushies would be made but also loving the withered and wanting the chica and bonnie plushies so fucking bad
@@batfurs3001 as a fursuit maker, most makers use either expanding foam or medium density upholstery foam (yes the stuff in your sofa), I personally use upholstery because molds aren't really something I'm in need of. It's really versatile, and I highly recommend using it in projects! Just make sure you buy it in the thicker end so you glue less stuff together ^^
The foxy plush isn't fake, but not from funko. It's from a second company, just toys. It's still official, but their plushes can be even more mixed than funko sometimes. The dead giveaway is the eyes. Funkos plush have plush eyes, while just toys often opts for the cheaper plastic eyes.
7:52 it’s funny how you could’ve used the rest of foxy’s headless body as an actual plush itself. In all of the fnaf 4 minigame cutscenes, his plush is seen on the ground without a head lol.
Somehow I these redesigns are better but seem less like genuine Fazbear Entertainment Inc. products, because they’re actually more thoughtfully (and thus expensively) put together

heyo!! worked on some plushies before and i've found a technique for making those "folded over" details like bonnie's ear! you could ladder stitch inbetween the fold to make it stay down like that, im not sure if it'll stay in this particular instance as the ears would be a little heavy but i think that's a way to get away with it without any wire :] just a little idea!
:0) np, when I was a kid I had a bunny plush that actually had a Velcro on it's ear too. For a really young kids toy maybe that would be another option ?
I have a plush with ears like this (one straight one folded) and instead of that it uses this kinda foamy material? It's a 1/2 inch thick sheet and for the straight ear it's just cut flat and for the folded ear I assume it's just two sheets glued/stitched together or heat formed somehow. I'd need to cut it open to check though. It leaves the ears soft but also keeps their shape while staying bouncy! I personally dislike the ladder stitch thing since that restricts the movement. I like being able to flip stuff up and look in all the crooks and nannies.
I had an idea for that too! You could use a thick piece of felr for the bottom and sew in a small beanbag to the tip, just to give enough weight for the floppy ear! (Coming from a fursuit maker as this is the technique for flopped fursuit ears except usually the weight is the fur but for extra floppy ones ive seen makers glue coins to the foam!)
This is the sad part..you can make up such amazing designs for plushies but then realize "how tf do I actually make it a plush now?" These really do look 5 star but mad difficult to replicate; you did such a good job with replicating biza's mangle :]
With some of these criticisms, we gotta remember that they are redesigns of Funko's plushies, so a lot of the difficulties you'll have wouldn't be a big deal for the big company
@@meiroseos Yeah, and they can make custom pieces for BB. All criticisms are valid from a home sewer perspective of course, I just think she had the company in mind when she made them
well you'd then also have to take into account whether any of this is realistic on a mass production perspective. theres a reason the sanshee plushies are so much more expensive than the funko ones

Have you ever considered using fleece instead of felt? In my experience it's identical in utility, but slightly softer. It's used by companies like Build-A-Bear in place of felt

When I was watching these videos I was doing the same thing (thinking about how hard they’d be to make). They’re all super cool it’s just that some of them I looked at and knew they would be hell to try to make in person. Props to you for trying and achieving what I looked at and couldn’t imagine even attempting lol

I feel like having fluffy pipe cleaners in the Bonnies' ears would not only be pretty undetectable did to the fluffy outside of it and it'd also allow you to bend the ear up or down at your liking :D
omg when the video started i thought of my plush making experiences and thought of smuppets... so the smuppet jumpscare was relatable on a very high level lmao, that aside, great job!! loved the commentary and the plushie turned out amazing!
21:13 The idea of the one balloon we see Balloon Boy ever actually hold actually being a lollipop is making me giggle a bit because now I want to draw him sticking it in his mouth.
If these ever became actual products somehow, there could be two versions, normal would have no wires and as little handstitching as possible, and then a more expensive collector edition with handstitching and wires in the ears (and maybe heavier weights in certain plushes, the heaviness/hardness wouldn't matter much for collectors)
I would suggest sewing on the details like the lips and eyes before sewing the pieces together so you could get them to lay cleaner, other than that it looks amazing and is a great first go!

Thought I might let you know that yes, the Foxy you plush you have is a bootleg of the Funko one. The only real difference I can see is the string on the head that you mentioned and the eye being made of plastic rather than fabric with an embroidered pupil
For the folded ears, could you put felt in them like you do for the other ears, but make it in two parts so it's "weaker" in the middle, causing it to flop? You could even sew them together, either loosely with whip stitches like two pages of a spiral notebook or tightly so the felt would touch each other, both of which might not have the best shape... Aaa idk

not sure if someone said this already, but i think you got the GOODSTUFF Foxy plush, which i’m not 100% sure is fake or real, but they’re meant for carnivals, arcades, basically places where they hang up prizes for you to win, which is why there’s the string
I love the fairly erratic editing and pacing, and the unedited retakes. My adhd brain is a big fan of it, it handles the lack of transitions very naturally, and the video style in general is all very relatable and cozy and fun to process. Thank you! Absolutely love the video and I’d watch and share the hell out of a sequel/followup vid
I really appreciate that this video doesn't have music, this is usually very tempting for creators, but I personally find it detracts from the experience for this type of video.
or instead of using wire you could stitch the ear in a precise way that makes it folded. or just make it a button latch sort of system so you can have the ear up or down. (ok this is an edit now. i just got to the toy bonnie and now i am happy because the decorative stitch has come up)
I think a lot of these plushies would be great with foam peices! It would be a little more expensive, but could help with a lot of the difficult shapes in alot of the plushies
Duly noted, I recall her suggesting that but I don't have an embroidery machine unfortunately - sometimes I gotta find workarounds as they are expensive pieces of equipment
I've been making little plushies since I was in 6th grade and I honestly was unaware thread sculpting had a name. I just thought I made it up myself because I sucked at making good looking faces so I'd sculpt it afterward. Also I'm so happy I was recommended your video! I've been wanting to make Shadow Bonnie because They're my favorite character, (I know, such a random character, They're just fun to draw in my style) and this kind of was the final push for me to finally do it Again, I'm very glad I was recommended this channel, not only have you given me some new tips even though I've been sewing for about 6 years now, but you've given me the motivation to make the funny shadow keyboard spammer. Like the idea to combine a sped up video in the corner with the rating really add a magical throughtline throughout the whole video and it’s real nice. 😊
the plush did turn out to be kinda like a funko version of the design just because its so wonky. it is using high quality materials but the endo head just looks round and the face is just not it, it looks so messy just bcz author decided to wing it. the mangle head i am also not a fan of. looks not as messy as endo, but still feels kinda low detail and the ears being all over the place just further enhances that funko feeling it has. also i think, as stated in the video, the box base is a little too big. however i liked the look of the wiring, it was def a nice touch. all in all, it works as a prototype but def needs more refining and precision.
I actually really like the fnaf plushies we got. The jankyness gives them personality (Then again I also collect bootleg plushies as well for the same reason lol)

I used to use fleece for plushmaking- it's really good and soft! I used to be so amazed at clean minky builds, I guess I still am a huge minky fan

Someone else made the mangle plushy, and something they brought up was the use of foam in places you've noted might need plastic.
Equal parts interesting and relaxing. I could fall asleep to this (and I mean that in the nicest way possible, in an ASMR type beat).

or instead of using wire you could stitch the ear in a precise way that makes it folded. or just make it a button latch sort of system so you can have the ear up or down. (ok this is an edit now. i just got to the toy bonnie and now i am happy because the decorative stitch has come up)

I think a lot of these plushies would be great with foam peices! It would be a little more expensive, but could help with a lot of the difficult shapes in alot of the plushies

Duly noted, I recall her suggesting that but I don't have an embroidery machine unfortunately - sometimes I gotta find workarounds as they are expensive pieces of equipment

I've been making little plushies since I was in 6th grade and I honestly was unaware thread sculpting had a name. I just thought I made it up myself because I sucked at making good looking faces so I'd sculpt it afterward.
Also I'm so happy I was recommended your video! I've been wanting to make Shadow Bonnie because They're my favorite character, (I know, such a random character, They're just fun to draw in my style) and this kind of was the final push for me to finally do it

the plush did turn out to be kinda like a funko version of the design just because its so wonky. it is using high quality materials but the endo head just looks round and the face is just not it, it looks so messy just bcz author decided to wing it. the mangle head i am also not a fan of. looks not as messy as endo, but still feels kinda low detail and the ears being all over the place just further enhances that funko feeling it has. also i think, as stated in the video, the box base is a little too big. however i liked the look of the wiring, it was def a nice touch.
all in all, it works as a prototype but def needs more refining and precision.
I actually really like the fnaf plushies we got. The jankyness gives them personality
(Then again I also collect bootleg plushies as well for the same reason lol)
