I received mine yesterday. 110v model. It cannot weld 0.30mm strips. I was looking forward to repair a lot of my branded 18v batteries but couldn’t. It would not penetrate the nickel plated. But, if you’re welding anything below 0.30mm thickness, especially 0.15mm I think it’ll do the job. However, I was told by a China seller that the 737g+ (220v) is their strongest welder in the non-commercial market, but I’m looking at $300 versus the 737g-$100. I also read some complaints on the pen that comes with the 737g+ is no good and must replace a 70B pen around $60. So you’re looking around $350 total to weld thick strips. Conclusion, I would buy the 737g+ and the 70B pen “IF” there is some type of insurance or warranty or possibly replacement parts for the machine in case it breaks.
Mine doesn't even do the .15 it came with on 110v. It's a joke
@@WTFIsThisGuyDoing233 Don’t invest in these Sunkko. You should check out these small portable spot welder on amazon for around $60-$90. They’re listed capable of spoting .30 I might try one out. Worst case just return it back.

Good thing you can set current on it. This could be use in thick nickel strips because of it's higher current capacity.

I wouldn't use that adapter because there are plenty of videos on UA-cam on how dangerous they are

155 usd? Why? It has just a transformer which you can find easily in Microwave oven and one timer. it can be done by yourself max 20usd. Why 155$??
That's not correct. A microwave transformer can't be used to spot weld without modification. Its secondary coil is a high voltage, not high current one. Even by using the primary coil as the secondary and vice versa you still wouldn't be able to get >30A out of the transformer...

@@socialbeat2587 First of all, "just cut secondary" is easier said then done. But yes, if you do that, have a precise and functioning timer and adapt yourself those necessary spot-welding pins, then you'd probably have a more or less functioning spot welding device which with a bit of luck even doesn't need optimisation afterwards but is definitely clunky and rather dangerous to work with. And no, it wouldn't cost more than 20 dollars to modify your transformer with a high gauge cable (except you include your work time) but as I said, that wouldn't be the only thing to consider - so a serious attempt would definitely cost you more than just 20 dollars plus a lot of work time.

I have an issue with mine, could someone help?! It will trip the whole house at anything over 30% 1P The Rcd is set to 40A Which should be enough and we are able to run massive machines off this but as soon as i try the welder it goes i think its the instant pulse but im not sure.
machine not mean have 40A if display have 40. its mean only 40% maximum has used. and maximum this machine have only 200A what have good welding totally too less.

thismodel have poor current, no welding good, no power, need install transformer one round more secondary wire. and mossfet aluminium cooler and fan to cover blow hot air out. than have same than lot expensive better model 709AD. if change microwave transformer have better power and current out can weld lot better this.this have poor men budget welder what not working good. need modificate transformer have good.
Thickness with 0.1mm pure nickel strip works well. This one does the job well.
@@LahisTechLT yes i know only thin 0,1mm can. but all better not can no power. only what i need do have oopen transformer and add more wire secondary round then come out little more current. but better have if change old used microwave transformer and made this new better power, same but more round second wire have.same than best model 709AD have only biggest transformer be, this have maximum 200W and 709AD have 600W what have perfect power home user., factory uses 600+1200W poower. can adjust not burn hole to battery.
