I've always had such a hard time with pads and settled on the elite hybrids from dekoni after trying so many. I like leather over a lot of stock pads even the velour on beyers. It's amazing how much of a difference there is with just a pad swap. It also makes it suck because you can't tell how they'll sound for you before getting them. I have the 1770s and wouldn't be opposed to a new option lmao. I just hate most leather pads because a lot of them use fake leather which just inevitably starts flaking apart and ages poorly.
Just pulled the trigger on these 😁I've begrudgingly tolerated the ANC nub making contact with my ears because nearly everything else about the headphones tick all the right boxes for me. If these cushions eleviate that problem and improve the sound as well I'll consider that a top-shelf win-win!

Not sure what the next easy targets would be. Id guess Pro X (or 2?) blacksharks, and Astros would be next popular. Oh... and Maxwells. I use the Pro X 2 so hopefully those pop up at some point in the future.
I'm on the Pro X 2s as well but exactly what you said is what they should be targeting next since they're probably the most popular wireless gaming headsets in the space and then maybe go for something like the Maxwell/slightly more niche offerings.
I really wish WC offered velour pads for every model. Even with the cooling gel, their regular pads just get too toasty after a while, and they're also a bit too stiff for my tastes. My Momentum 4 pads literally cause pain around my ears after wearing them for a while; something that's never happened with any of the velour pads I've tried. Comfort is way more important to me than sound signature, because the latter can always be, at least to some extent, redeemed through EQ, while uncomfortable pads are likely to stay uncomfortable.
Even those audiophile headphones need pad swapping because the fact of the matter is that everyone's head is different and bass leak just ain't a good feeling on sub-optimal pads and close-backs.

As long as the brand doesn’t exert any influence over the design, you’re essentially just leveraging their manu and distro. In this case, Joe was allowed to make whatever he wanted, totally from scratch.
I gotta disagree. I've bought their pads for a few different headphones and I've not been disappointed once. The cooling gel is obviously not going to be able to keep you cool the whole time you wear the headphones, that's kind of physically impossible. I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is, but calling it a scam is just not true

Yes, I’d much rather buy Dekoni - WC just tend to be fairly mediocre materials with very limited positive change from stock. Not good products.
