This bench is extremely valuable for those that live in apartments with limited space as you can take it in and out of your closet without permanently taking up limited space like a non-foldable bench would. I believe this bench and an adjustable dumbbell set is all you really need which is a big plus in terms of the barrier to entry for people to be able to work out at home and save space.
That Hyperbell barbell is amazing! didn't know something like that existed. That paired w/ adjustable dumbbells is 👌! Getting even more excited about starting up home gym now
I know this video is about the bench, but it sold me on that curl bar. I bought those core fitness dumbbells a few years ago from your reviews and they're great. That bar looks like a perfect addition to those dumbbells.
I'll look into it as a potential option in the future. With some great digital equipment coming out I hope to get more of that content (like the Speediance and Vitruvian).
I haven't used this bench with the Speediance, just the one they provided. Some things might work, but because this bench has a fixed seat and back rest position, it might not work well for things like seated overhead press. The adjustable bench Speediance offers has the seat slide back and forth so that the cables are located below the seat no matter where the angle of the backrest is set. I do have some concerns on that bench, but otherwise, I just go with the flat bench and sometimes angle it slightly by moving one of the feet off the end.
I think so based on what I am seeing. They may make changes, but hopefully they can make it obvious. I don't think they sell the really tall one anymore, and have elected for the 18in height instead (which is perfect for me).
Hello, what is the height of the redesigned bench. You gave most of the dimensions but failed to provide. I was looking at the Barwing 90 with the Dragon Flag handles....but ruled it out because height is over 20"! So have been looking at Lusper 800lb & 880lb zero gap which are 17.7" IFP official height
Thanks for the suggestion! I don't see myself buying this for a review over the Flybird one. It is cheaper though and the reviews look pretty solid for it on Amazon.
Just took a look. Really interesting test he ran. I wonder how Flybird tests for the 800lbs (is it so far up on one side). I think this is the older (larger) version of this bench, but it still did hold a lot of weight. Doesn't seem to be able to hold 800 as shown in his video, but based on the placement of that weight, I'm actually kind of impressed. I bet Flybird puts the weight a bit closer to the midline of the bench for testing.
Your head will clear the back rest. There's no dedicated attachment for bands, but you could set up your own version. I personally do not use bands with the bench.

Thank you so much you are my savior for this upload. I’m currently look at this bench and was concerned how it is after the updated height!
I have ironmaster bench now but fly bird was my first bench. Loved that you could fold it up when not in use.
Just ordered new latest version, thanks for all the pointers in helping me making up my mind. It looked like the best option for a budget buy.
Yeah, the newest Flybird one is great. I still have it even though I mostly use my resistance bands or Speediance setups right now.

Yes, I highly recommend either Hyperbell bar as they pair really well with it.
I have the original version of this bench. One con is that the back rest is a little too short if you're much taller than 6'1'. (I'm 6'3".)
That won't be fixed here. For anyone that tall, you may find that it is an issue for you.
Can you please make a review of the TRULAP adjustable dumbbells? Thanks 👍

How do you like it with the speediance?

Gracias por la reseña, estoy un poco confundido con los modelos, el que muestras en el video es el modelo mas reciente? Gracias

Sorry for the late response. Just measured it, and the flat bench height from floor to top of cushion is 18.75 inches. I hope that helps!
is the back long enough to fully support a 5'10 persons head? I think you said the back was 30in long.
I don't think the "entire head" would fit, but probably about half way up to still support it.
Can you review the Lusper Adjustable Weight Bench Foldable - 660 Lb Stable

what are your thoughts on mac strengths review/demo of this bench?

Have you tried the bench with the Speediance gym monster? I’m looking for an alternative bench other than the adjustable bench they sell.
I have not. I use their flat bench from Speediance. I don't think it would harm it, but haven't tried it out yet.
Can resistance bands be attached to this bench?
Also im about 6'1, is the backrest a okay height?
