Hello people! I am glad to see the experience. For those who are interested in Indian food tasting. A little knowledge to share. If you have a curry gravy based dish pair it with rice or naan or any Indian bread of choice, if it is a dry curry dish like aloo saag or aloo jira etc you can have it with chapati, plain paratha or naan etc. if you are choosing rice for dry curry add daal/ lentils to it. Also if it’s your first time trying biryani and not a spicy person must add raita to it and then go directly if you can tolerate or reduce the amount of raita. This is the advice because we don’t have our curries directly like chaat or salad or steak. We always pair it with staples (rice or Indian breads). That’s why they hold intense flavour, so true flavour can be recognise by pairing them and if you go directly at it might hit you boldly at times.
Also raita is not soup or appetizer. In your case you can eat it with biryani or after any spicy meal to immediately cool your palate and stomach and good for digestion just what lassi also does.
Further more, Indian cottage cheese is very blend that’s why can be used for sweets or savoury dishes too.
At last Please don’t say lassi a dessert, it sounds like calling lemonade a dessert😅.
I hope this information helps you in experiencing Indian food better.
That raitha is for your biryani! You mix it with biryani and eat to balance out the spicyness incase you feel it is too hot or spicy
You don't eat it thinking it is some appetizer, it's for the biryani, it's your preference if you want to mix it or not
On point 🙌🏽
Idk We in north india drink the raita in a glass. We never mix it with anything.
Never judge Indian dishes based on "would I order it again" mentality, they will never be the same from any two places 😁
“The spice is attacking my throat, no diddy…” kam bruh🤣🤣🤣
was coming to comment the same thing 😭😭😭😭
😂
Literally came to the comments for this comment
Drenched donuts made me laugh so hard 😂. Also, raita is usually eaten with briyani.
ha yah, raita, is just to cool things down.
🤯I can’t believe they were just eating it like that haha raita is sooo good when combined with the dishes!
Firstly, great selection of items. I'm glad that y'all are trying out different cuisines especially Indian dishes. To be clear, the first cucumber yogurt (Raita) and the red gravy goes with Biryani as accompaniments (similar to dip and salsa for Nachos - I'm bringing this comparison only for the understanding 😜)
Those two need to be sided with Biryani so that you won't feel the heavy spice of Biryani. Plus, Kulfi is like an Indian popsicle made with milk and the one you had is technically a shape of a popsicle!
If possible, try the South Indian varieties since you had most of the highly popular ones that hail from the north.
Hi! The Raita (cucumber in yoghurt) goes with a whole dish generally. For instance, you can have it with briyani or even curry and rice. It's supposed to be a kind of salad, but with yoghurt in it to add a sweet kick to a dish full of spices.
The lentils go with plain basmati rice. The raita(cucumber yogurt thing) goes with biryani and that curry or gravy you guy saw. Palak paneer you can either choose to eat with rice or naan. Other than that I feel really happy you trued our cuisine. Looking forward to more videos of these kind from you guys! ♥️♥️ Lots of love from India ♥️
Love these videos! I hope yall had a great trip, love seeing your stories. and kick streams
Doesn't matter if you pronounce it wrong...or call it naan bread.
I'm glad y'all are having this whole cuisine journey and enjoying the flavours.
You guys should tell them mild! You get full flavor. Then spice it up if you can handle it. I always say mild first, then if I can do more spicy, then I order it next time.
Raita is also good for calming down the spice in curry 👍🏼
I'm from India guys

Tricia and kam I have missed you guys ❤ So happy you finally posted 😢

Missed you three❤❤❤
Raita usually comes with biryani
"RAITA" as a dish that is usually paired with Biryani's (Vegetable, Chicken & Mutton) to mellow down it's spicy effect or heat. It is not consumed as a stand alone dish.
The 'DAL TADKA' is a dish prepared with a lentil called Arhar / Tuaar Dal. It is usually tempered with onion fried with tomatoes, garlic and green chiiles to add to it the look and colour.
Ya’ll should order the dishes with mild spice, because they can always adjust the level if you ask.
Much love guys
Hi guys ! The cucumber in yogurt can be eaten with basically anything. We don’t usually eat it like soup, You can dip the samosa in it or we traditionally eat it with biryani (rice and chicken).
I love you guys frr
You guys are great. I absolutely love to hear Kam say daddy baby😢 and she smiles it's the sweetest thing. Tricia I think I agree with you she is the cutest baby😊. You needed to try the curry chicken and the other stuff with the rice. Indian food is great.

Guys you should try Yellow daal Tadka with Basmati rice that’s the perfect pair and it’s like super super delicious. Ooh and the first thing, “Raitu”, that’s what you get a spoon on the side like drinks if you feel spicy.
You guys make my day!!
Do a full series
Enjoy your Indian food 🙋🏻♂️🇮🇳🧡🤍💚🛞🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love to watch you guys trying Indian food 🫶🏼,few suggestions would be the raita that you guys tried the first should be mixed with the biryani to reduce the spice, the Dal( yellow lentil) should be mixed with plain white rice and the naan should been eaten with the Palak paneer, that's how we usually eat it in India.
Hearts❤
I love Indian food and to see u guys try Indian food and telling us your ratings but I love chicken biryani and lassi they are my favourite love u guys soo much we need a part 3❤❤❤😊😊😊

LOVE Indian food/cuisine
Hey Tricia and Kam I love you guys that was a pretty good video the next one you guys should Puerto Rican food
Do a part 2 with different indian dishes especially snacks and sweets
Making mango lassi at home is quite easy, 5-10 min mostly if u have all the ingredients. So try looking for its recipe videos & make it at home & enjoy😄👍🏻
Biryani,Rice,Naan, Roti..have these items with curries (Dal tadka, palak paneer, aloo korma, chicken curry, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb chettinad etc - all curries have gravy(which you call sauce)..the first one you tried Raita is used with biryani..if you feel spicy, mix some raita in the biryani and eat to cool down the spice levels..and also have mango lassi while eating to cool your stomach while eating spicy food
im glad you liked the veggie samosas :))))
Love yall😅❤showing love from South Africa please try South African Snacks
Raita is a side, mostly to cool down on spices. Can be added to rice.
I love you guys. Tricia seems very sweet. She invites to the cookouts.

it's a good dish you can have it any time of the day and specially in summer season keeps your body cool from inside and healthy....
Love that y’all give everything a try without being extra and dragging it if it’s not your favorite thing lol I can’t stand watching food videos where they spit everything out🙄😂this also gave me good suggestions to try next time I order Indian food
ibr you’re cute
I love learning about different cultures so please continue to do videos like this
Im half polish so i would love to see you try that
My favorite polish dish is kielbasa and pierogies
You guys should try Nigerian food(Africa)…Foods like Jollof rice, puff puff, moi moi, Egusi & Semo, Small chops etc
Guys the yougart and cucumber is meant to take the spice, so you eat it with the breyani, or strong curries.
Yay part 2 ❤
All the food looked delicious
I love watching you guys on your UA-cam channel Kam and Tricia I hope you guys posting more videos of you guys doing things together 💙💙💙💙💙look trying different type of foods and going on vacation together as a beautiful family with baby girl Kaylah 💙💙💙💙😂
Great job guys
Raita is mostly used to cool down after eating spicy foods. Raita goes best with Biryani. But Raita can be consumed standalone too. Due to humid summers in India, most people prefer Raita to cool down the body. Spice in it varies from region to region, as well as its thickness, which depends on the quality of milk used for the yoghurt. The sourness is dependent on how much the yoghurt is left standing. I myself absolutely love it. You can use onion slices too along with cucumber slices. You can also add powdered black pepper to increase the taste.
Biryani is made with a lot of ingredients for flavouring. The rice is known as Basmati rice, which are known for their thin and long shape. The flavouring ingredients include cinnamon, clove, cardamom, mace, black stone flower, fennel seed, star anise, bay leaf, nutmeg and dried kapok buds. After the Biryani is made, rose water may or may not be added. Rose water has a unique taste which increases the flavouring more.
Thank you for trying our foods we the Indian foods are almost all spicy but tasty at the same time,, butter nan is my favourite one all the time
I missed you guys🤗
We all missed them 🙋🏻♂️🤗❤
My God finally you figured it out by the end of the Video, I was screaming inside, "Drink Lassi after eating any of the spicy dish"
Lassi compliments the heat from Indian food
Dal Tadka always goes with basmati rice or Jeera rice
The Rita I’m sure that goes with the biriyani
Mostly dal the 3 dish is mostly had with rice something called papad ..
Kam had me dying when he said : Why is Indian food so bougie?
If you like low spice, just tell while ordering to put less spice in your order.
Yess good video a lot of UA-camrs have done this and tried Indian foods
Butter chicken and garlic naan fave!!! I think the dish you guys passed up was butter chicken
Yes
I love how you react to this, and you don't smell any food. i love it so so much🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😊😊😊
You guys need to try Thai, haitian, Vietnamese. It will blow your mind on how delicious the flavor are.
You can make mango luccy in home
Only 4 ingredients need (1glass )
Fresh mango (half)
Fresh Yogurt (3 big spun)
Sugger (4 normal size spun)
Ice ( your choice)
Raita is eaten with byrani u guys should try chicken samosa it's so good with the brown sauce (tamarind sauce)I love the somosa with raita
Raita is what you mix in when something is too hot spicy. Or settled curd (dahi).
Chicken curry we have to eat with nan or rice, because of this u test it spicy
Lovee this video❤
The biryani and the raita are a combination. Usually when we make biryani we have some raita on the side. We'll add a little bit of raita with each bite 😋
Biryani (chicken or lamb) with raita. It's heaven 💓
You have to try authentic lassi with no flavours....
You'll love it guys❤❤
Guys plz try the breyani with the ratha. It's Devine.
They usually serve this at weddings.
Plz also try soji and cream as a desert.
So at an Indian wedding
Starters wd be samosas,
Mains breyani with dhall/pickle/ratha.
Desert wd b soji.
Hey guys!! I like this type of video!! For next time as a suggestion, if you’re not into spicy- while ordering I’d ask if they can adjust the spice based on your preference ☺️ and most times they will go from mild to really spicy. This way, maybe your rating will be different if the spice level is what your going off of.
Also! Next time I’d love to see you make a plate and eat off that rather than trying them separately, I see why you did but I think next time it would be nice to try them together ☺️🩷🩷
As a Indian when I see tricia try indian food I feel sad for her because I know how spicy its going to be but she still loves it that greatt!!
Raita is supposed to be eaten with Biryani.. you can take a spoon full and mix them together and have a bite.. or if you don't like it like that you simply eat the biryani on its own.. other thing Samosa is supposed to be eaten with two chutneys.. red chutney that you guys had has tamarind and little bit of jaggery water and also many other spices in it so that's the flavour.. green chutney which consists of coriander leaves, mint leaves, cumin, ginger, garlic, lemon juice and salt so it's a really good fresh flavour.. both the chutneys go well with samosa
Appreciate your video and how open you guys were to try Indian food❤️
Much love ❤️❤️❤️
Not kam running away with the drink lol
Yall should definitely try nigerian food!
