The language mixing I love it!!! I’m an anglophone, but am learning German because god damn it I want to play in German musicals, and it’s nice to see I’m not the only one who mixes things 😂

it's amazing how you mix up all the languages. I wish I was able to fully understand the Dutch conversations but I'm certainly not😂 love the impressions, though. I mostly don't even notice when you switch between English and German😇

Wieder sehr schöner Vlog! Mach weiter so! Nur noch ein kleiner Tipp: in einem Videoclip hat man gesehen, wie du die Rebecca-Gesamtaufnahme aus Wien 2007 hörst und das hast du ja auch gesagt. Das war ja die Urraufführung und da waren noch viele Texte anders. Ein komplettes Lied ist auch dabei, was in Stuttgart weggelassen wurde. Also höre dir am besten die Gesamtaufnshme aus Stuttgart an von 2014 mit Pia, Jan und Valerie. Das ist die aktuelle Rebecca-Fassung. 😊

Annemieke is the alternate Mrs. Danvers? The term ‘alternate’ means that Willemijn is not playing all performances each week then and that her alternate has at least one set show each week? Which performance(s) will Willemijn not be playing please and have these been announced on a website somewhere? Thanks.
It will be announced by Annemieke and Willemijn which days are played by which singer. Alternate usually means different days not weekly though.

I am surprised that the role requires an alternate though. The role, in my opinion, has certain vocal demands, but I think there are many more vocally-demanding roles where an alternate is not used. Plus, the West End and Broadway theatres play 8 shows a week (and in the rare event where there is an alternate, the main star would still perform at least 6 of the shows), whereas this is playing only 6 shows per week - another reason why I’m surprised that an alternate is being used (as it means Willemijn might only be performing 4 or 5 shows per week?)
This is not a criticism; it is merely an observation of how the expectations of West End/Broadway theatre (in terms of the number of expected performances per week for the performers) compare to European productions.
Did Pia Douwes and Susan Rigvava-Dumas also have alternates for this role?
@@scswp6945 it not only depends on the role but also the availability of the cast - maybe Willemijn has other engagements as well (plus Annemieke is a fantastic singer!).
As for announcement - probably through social media, best to follow them ;)
@@scswp6945 I'm not exactly sure, but I think that at least Susan Rigvava-Dumas also had an alternate (Kerstin Ibald).
Furthermore the VBW used the term "alternate" in their last production - Miss Saigon - just for one additional day off per month.
So the actress, who played Kim, had 5 days of per month, whereas the others just had 4.
This need not mean that it will be the same in Rebecca, but it could be. We will find out soon :)
