I seldom disagree with Larry Kudlow, but he is wrong about why stock prices are increasing. They are increasing because stocks (along with precious metals) are one of the few hedges against inflation. Even with current stock price increases, stocks prices are barely keeping pace (if that) with the REAL rate of inflation--"official" government-stated stats on inflation are deliberated calculated to understate the real inflation rate? Why? Because SSI and many other government payments are indexed to the "official" rate of inflation. When the debt bubble finally bursts (and the Democrats will try to postpone that until after the 2024 election), the economy will crash and inflation will turn into deflation. Like one of my college econ professors said decades ago, "Inflation eventually cures inflation the way that cancer eventually cures cigarette smoking."
