    Very cool. I've never seen one made with Herl before.

      I love using peacock herl because of the color.

    You do awesome designs. Very neat and precise. I don't do much trout fishing but I do crappie fish as well as smallmouth fishing. Like you I tie a lot of jigs. Thanks for sharing.

    nice tie, just a bit of advice peacock is very delicate try palmering in some ultra wire after the peacock and hackle will make your jigs bullet proof.

    Don't be afraid to run a 1/32 oz size for steelhead in low clear water that is getting heavy pressure. You will have to add weight up the line to help get it down.

    Mustache, Howdy; The Hackle feather you mentioned as, 'experimental' brown on one side(?), how did you manage that???
    Question #2; you use a 1/16 oz. jig what size is the hook in it? 6, 8, 10??? Hope you still look back at these. Beauty of a Bugger.

      I tried dying it myself. The problem is that the color doesn’t hold so I like to use furnace or brown hackle instead. The hook is size 4. Thanks!

    Do you spin or fly fish this tie?

    • @MustacheJigs
      @MustacheJigs  2 роки тому +1

      I fish it on a spinning rod. I use a smaller head when fishing a jig on a fly rod.

      I get mine from bigtimefishnjigs on eBay. 50 for $8.99.

      I buy mine from barlows. I get 1000 for 34.00 dollars. The Victory hook is also fantastic. Both are sickle style hooks.
