I have Sharkroad’s on my Electra Glide. I have had them installed for several years now. They sounds great! In fact, I can’t tell the difference between them and the $700 ‘name brand’ I had on my 2014 Fatboy. (Sold)….Mine sound very similar to yours. On a side point, I have seen comments from guys complaining about the Sharkroad’s bluing or becoming discolored in some way. I have not experienced that issue. I think they are well worth the $180 I paid for the set
I have them (4.5 in. Chrome megaphones) on my 07 Yamaha Royal Star and they sound badass! I installed them about a year ago and they are holding up well. I'm very satisfied with them, a steal for the price.
Why would you want a Royal Star to copy the sound of a Harley? Buy a HD if you want loud pipes. Japanese bikes with loud pipes sound like garbage, no matter what pipes you put on.

I purchased a set of 4.5 road skarks for my 2021 SG in chrome back in Oct,i left the cat in it,really nice sound for half the price of the name brands,i have noticed for a little while on the left pipe was rusting inside and brown water was coming out during cold start,after a few months it no longer does it. Overall im totally happy with the product. Once i get the X pipe to make it true dauls it should stop the rust with carbon build up like the right side is doing. Special thanks to harley with a crappy head pipe with a crossover that really doesn't do anything.
I put shark road slip on's my 2020 Street glide and they sounded pretty good. My first issue was the chrome plating on the end caps started peeling off after 3 months. They sent me another set which I haven't installed yet. Waiting for all the chrome to fall off the first set. Chrome on the mufflers are still going strong. Second issue was the fiberglass packing pretty much all blew out after 10k miles. It actually sounds better, but the metal screen inside the pipe that holds the packing came loose and now rattles at the light. I'll gut both sides and hopefully it's not too loud.
I just put the 4.5on my 22 road glide and the left one came fairly easy, but that right side oh Jesus, I was wiggling, hammering for 2 hours I kid you not. After hearing them it was all with it.

It’s clearly not about the money! It’s about the sound. My buddy has a pair of megaphone slip ons. Probably the cheapest things out there but his bike sounds amazing.
If those are the ones with the spiral baffle? I have same ones with different tips. Because my bike is not a garage queen and actually gets ridden and dirty I did not see the point in paying 2-3 time the money for slip on mufflers that will not improve performance or sound. Instead I spent that money on a stage 2 cam. I have owned the Megaphone style also. Quality is a little less but I have not had an issue with any of the mufflers discoloring.
Id take that Road Glide over the Street Glide any day of the week even tho I like the look of a Street Glide better the comfort of a Road Glide provides less fatigue after 600 plus miles a day riding. Especially when riding interstates

Absolute facts, my club puts a lot of miles on the slab! Just upgraded to a 2015 RGS, coming off a 2008 SG. I've got Screaming Eagle pipes, but these bitches more like parakeets!!! I'm definitely getting the Sharks now!
I have them on my 20 Ultra. One side is starting to blue and the packing has come out a little. Love the sound but the colour change is annoying. Not sure I saved money as I will likely replace them .

The answer should be obvious unless you were wearing ear plugs, which I usually do btw. I’m 71 years old, and have a lot of highway miles under my belt (500,000),and in my observations, loud pipes, plus, the wind and traffic at highway speeds over 10 or 12 hours in the saddle will destroy your ears. Quieter pipes just make a long highway ride less tedious. That’s all, I don’t know how I could explain this anymore sensibly.
Why are you putting shark exhaust on a CVO?? Those pipes are 75 bucks each on a 50,000+ HD. My buddy did the same thing to his the right pipe will turn gray after about 6 months. They actually sound decent but are total garbage

I’ve got the same set of shark Road slip ons (different tips) on my street glide. Stock head pipes. Good looking chrome mufflers. Great low rumble.
How much loader then stock?

I have the shark road slip ons with no baffles in them and they sound awesome
There's 2 screws on the black tips take them off and you can pull out the baffles that's what I did...

Nice sound on the 4" even through my Phone the sound was cleary audible.

I like the sound but ive heard the the powder coat fades after awhile.
It's been 3 years and I haven't had any issues.

Not sure if it's still an issue, but in earlier years of those Sharkroads, there were lots of rust complaints
Not sure but I have an Indian Chief Darkhorse and i bought a pair last year. They are perfectly fine.
I don't think those are just tips. I beleive they are the complete slip ons

Be 100% honest.. How have these pipes held up so far? I've read bad reviews on packing coming out and flaking/discoloration
I have had them on both of our bikes over a year now and have had no issues with them at all.
Definitely no flaking or discoloration the outside of the pipe anywhere.

The color is the chemical folks put on them when washing thier bike.

Yes sir they do. They are removable but were in at the time of this video.

It is just the factory baffles that came in the slip ons
Sharkroadd sound good but the powdercoat will start fading after 1000 miles. You get what you pay for.
I have almost 8000 miles on mine and no issues at all. Been on over 2 years now on both of our bikes.
Not on mine, bike had only 1000 miles on it. Changed over to Rienhart DBX 4.5.
Nice sound on both, but IMO the factory sounds had the best sound...
