  • This is the rewarding culmination of a dedicated team of professionals, from the designers, Dudley Dix & Phil Harvey, from Kevin Bream from Exocetus who designed the 3-D files, CNC routed all components, designed the electronics & supplied all equipment to complete the build, from Fonz Marine for the electrical & navigation installation, from Sparcraft for the spars & from North Sails for the sails, & for the Sea-Tribe team for their dedication & passion.

I'm jealous... Would have liked to be part of it. From a German naval architect, believing in catamarans. Been watching all the videos. Really great work so far!!
One thing I'd have changed for sure are the proud hatches on deck.

What a great design and build, I've done loads of miles in big cats but this stand out, internal helm for when your beating into 25 knots of rain at 3am! Plywoods such a underated matierial for boatbuilding, light and stiff, no fatige or delam problems and with some epoxy and 404 you can fix the world. Very practical for a cruising boat. Great boat, have fun!

It is a pity that the perception out there is that a ply/epoxy composite build is inferior to a plastic built polyester boat. In reality, a lot stiffer & lighter. I am an epoxy fan of note, had many years of using in construction & boat building. We build our smaller Sea-Tribe 300 with epoxy resin infusion which. Epoxy & timber are made for each other whereas polyester resins & timber hate each other & this is where there is misunderstanding. This boat weighs in at 14 tons with full tanks, 800 litres of fuel & water. Roughly 4-6 tons lighter than the average polyester build the same size.

@@RF-yh3qh The infusion process entails laying up all fabrics & core material, a series of air lines to draw down the vacuum & a series of resin lines to draw in the resin. The system then draws in the precise resin required to wet out the lay ups. The ratio of cloth to epoxy resin should be in the order of 1:1.2, cloth to resin. The process is too entailed to explain here but you will find more details on our site www.sea-tribe.com & try searching youtube for relevant movies of the process. There is software called Polyworx that will calculate the pipework systems but is not necessary, I preferred the trial & error basis which when you get it right & understand the principals is most accurate. The reason most people steer away from resin infusion is the steep learning curve, a failure is a failure of the whole part which can be expensive for a hull with the cost of the resins.

@@VIJAYzk Hello VIJAY. We didn't finished our 36ft CAT, because in our country we have a special registration form. We passed several inspections and in the next year we can continue!!! During this time, we made a small project of 20ft. Yes, this is a downsized CAT. We bring a lot of modifications on it. We like it very much.

A small piece of fake fur fabric over the microphone reduces wind noise a lot.
