Hello, Mason, I know what happens at the ending of Sonic movie 3.
I just realised what is happening here. So after all the fights between Sonic and Shadow, Shadow somehow realises that Sonic is not a real enemy. Egman uses tha ark as an ultimate weapon to shoot at earth. Shadow than goes Super form and pushes the ship into the space, witch causes him to sacrifise, and eggman to die in the ark's timewarping sequence. Sorry for bad grammar... Go watch the storyboard leak with a white tumbnail. Sonic Show covered it. Leaks came for knuckles to, they came out to be true in the end, go check it out.
