He gets a lot of crap for low energy but he's pulling the Messi strat. Only run when you need to... Not saying he's on Messi's level but I think that's his intention.
@guitareng I think he tries to pull the spectacular sometimes but they don't come off too. But I'm not going to tell him not to try. I think he's going to push Reyna to the side of Gio can't get minutes.
He's not low energy and he's definitely not lazy. He's deliberate. He's sorta phlegmatic. It's like he runs at one speed. It can be good in that he stays calm under pressure. But at the same time it results in issues at other moments when urgency is really needed. Musah has a similar issue. It doesn't seem quite the same but it's similar. Musah also will work tirelessly in terms of the game as a whole - a true workhorse - and he stays calm under pressure, but there are times when the situation calls for urgency and he just doesn't respond. I have to say that from what I have seen Tillman doesn't show that defensively as much as Musah does, but they both show it when on the ball. It's not a big deal for a player playing high up the pitch. But when a player is playing deep it can be a problem. We've seen it from Musah when he played the 6 and we saw it from Tillman against Ajax when he played the 6.

Also seems to make a lot of lazy passes that get cut out by the defense. Should at least be trying to get the ball back if that happens.

Tillman is everything except lazy, dont talk if you don't watch him play on regular base.

To me he seems to pick and choose what space he takes and when to take it.
Should've had 3 assists
