Just start watching your channel (one of my favs btw) and this is me finding out you live so close!! I also live in Pittsburgh! I’ll be going to my first card show in Washington on May 4th, maybe I’ll see ya there! 🔥🤙🏼🟡⚫️
IDK... I think $750.00 is actually a fair price.
$75.00 and not a penny more. Good grief. 🙄
Frank Chance was a dead ball era player, known most for the Tinker to Evers to Chance poem. He played for the Yankees at the end of his career, was named the fifth Captain in team history and then managed them a couple years.
He, along with his old double play partners on the Cubs, is in the HOF. Largely off the back of the famous poem.
Erik hiding the booklet that he showed a 20 second close-up of earlier in the video 😂
Ben McDonald has made a nice career for himself as a really good broadcaster for the Orioles
Agreed! The "Baby Birds" are loving him around, too!
I had no idea. While will never forget his 1990 Upper Deck error craze (for me personally, a card shop that I had gone to sold packs for $1.50, then raised price to $3……same day after closing for lunch break)
My Dad & I went Friday, got a ton of ‘71 cards there. We are over 3/4 of the way putting the set together through card hunting in person.
Love your purchases, thanks for sharing!
Don't hate on O'neill. He is my favorite baseball player ever.
Bobby Abreu has a tiny bit over 60 career war. Harold Baines made it with less then 40 you never know who just might make it. Also should have been Eric Davis instead of Paul O'Neill but still a great list of Reds.
Bench #29, Rose #34, Morgan #37, Griffey Jr. #13, and Frank Robinson #19 on ESPNs All-time Top 100 in 2022. That's an awesome card.
Awesome cards Erik, some sweet pickups, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for the video Erik!
It's Victor from Stellar Collectibles. Thanks for the plug and congrats on the card in Big League. Hope to see you here at the card show on June 1st.
Thanks man! I hope to be there.
Tons of great finds but I think the coolest part was you autographing your own card
Love the Ben McDonald. Went to the same high school. He was a senior when I was a freshman.
Great find on the booklet .. always got to keep on looking till you find the grail
$750 is a steal for that booklet!
Awesome pick-ups. And I'm diggin' the Ben McDonald auto. He was a decent pitcher for the Orioles back in the day and currently does the Birds play-by-play.
Its a damn amazing card. As a lifelong Reds fan, I love that they included O'Neil. But if you weren't around for the 90's world series, there are much more famous Reds players they could have gotten. (Eric Davis, Concepcion, Foster). Hell, it would have been amazing if they got Griffey Sr. to sign it!
Congrats on the huge booklet and your first kid auto 🔥🔥🔥
You should definitely do a PC collection video!
What a great booklet, a collection of awesome signatures. Congrats Jabs
Griffey is my all time favorite. I only have a few of his autos but it’s definitely the prettiest signature
I'm a Mantle guy myself. But I have a ball signed by Griffey, junior AND senior, and Jr did have a signature nearly as sweet as his swing. Rose also has a really nice looking auto.
@@snerdterguson won’t disagree with that at all. I would love to have the father/son combo on a piece of memorabilia
That is an amazing booklet
That booklet is siiickkkkk, even for a Panini product with no MLB license.
Amazing booklet Erik!!!
One of a kind booklet and no telling how long you would have to wait for another to come along had you passed on this one. $750 for the booklet/ signatures from Panini. How much would you have been willing to go had it been Topps and the Reds logos on the card as well?
Would like to get the whatnot promo but the 17$ usd shipping kills it for me…
I still have my Kevin Maas collection 😅. I believe he was the next Don Mattingly. I also have Don Mattingly topps 84 rookie.
Sweet haul erik that booklet is badass..
Just wondering if you're planning on grading your own card?
Wow, that sounds exciting!
Ben McDonald auto is a cool card for sure. Nostalgia is a great thing!
Tanner houck is one of the most underrated pitchers in the league, and jabs got a couple of steals of his cards cause he just pitched a CG shutout
Im sure you could find out the print run number on any card, as long as Topps has it cataloged. I wonder how many are still out there of a '89 Van Slyke? That would be fun to try, but it's gotta be in the hundreds of thousands... right? Thanks again for the video, Jabs! 🙏
Chance was the last link in the famous Tinkers to Evers to Chance lineup for the Cubs before ending his career with the Yankees in 1914. World War I had just broken out when he last batted. That's a cool card.
Frank Chance also managed the Yankees for a couple seasons, and was the fifth Captain in franchise history.
I was shocked he didn't know him.
Didn't make it to the show this weekend. We are going to the Pirates game tomorrow. When is the next mall show? I'll be going to the Washington show in May
As a Reds fan that booklet would be a prized possession. I hope you’re right about The Hit King, and also as a very young baseball fan in 1990, I freaking love the O’Neil inclusion.
As a Yankee fan, I naturally love Paulie. But I thought he looked very out of place. Literally every other player was HOF outside of Rose, who would be if not for gambling.
Chance was firstbase man for the Cubs
Send it to get graded?
As a Reds fan, love the booklet! O’Neil is definitely an odd choice for the last auto. Plenty of other Reds to choose from that would have made a lot more sense. Regardless, it’s awesome and I’m jealous! Lol
I had $800 in my head for the Reds bounty. If you've got the cash that's a fair price for sure.
I have always liked the Reds amazing auto booklet one day hope to own a nice card like that! Cool pickups Jabs enjoyed the video!
Always been a Van Slyke fan great center fielder!!
Love that booklet
Must be nice to be close to so many card shows. Here in Atlantic Canada,.
The Fleer Sandburg rookie has an uncorrected error on the back... he did not attend high school in West Virginia.
Being a Lifelong Reds Fan, I LOVE this card!!!
@19:57 tinker to evers to CHANCE
5:15 the worst part is when they look at you and say "make an offer" 🙄 there's a huge 250 table show coming in July in council bluffs iowa can't wait to go
Great booklet! Anyone else see the Jabs spit on the Rose auto? 😅 Good thing that's in a top loader
AS A REDS FAN THAT'S AN INSANE BOOKLET
If I was Panini I would have put Eric Davis since the autograph are from Cincinnati Reds great hitters! AWSOME CARD!
Jabs. You told a brief story about 15yrs ago or so a guy was trying to get every single card in existence of one specific player, this is very intriguing to me, any where to point where I could get more info?
80sbaseball.com/wallach_collector/amp/
Oh awesome. Appreciate thx Jabs
Omg that is so interesting 😄
As a lifelong Reds fan, I think $750 is a steal.
Amazing booklet but it looks like the n is missing on Joe Morgan’s autograph? I hate sticker autographs this is why
Good timing on the 2 dollar tanner houck. He pitched a complete game shutout on Thursday.
There are 579 Tim Wallach cards, according to TCDB
Tinker to Evers to Chance….. they were Cubs to start I believe. All are very borderline HOFers but a writer wrote a poem about their double play prowess!!
So a crazy stat was mentioned in the Yankees broadcast the other day. Do you know who hit the most Home Runs for the Marlins from 2017- present?
Giancarlo Stanton, who hasn't played a game for Miami after the 2017 season. The 59 he hit that year are 2 more than the 57 Brian Anderson has hit for them in that period.
booklet is super sweet. I would keep it and I don't even like the Reds. I grabbed a blaster box of heritage when I was out grocery shopping earlier tonight...not expcting anything, just hoping for an Elly Rc, didn't get one but to my shock I got a real one auto of Paul Goldschmidt. Couldn't believe it after seeing you open a whole case and pull 1 auto. Pretty happy with that pull.
Getting an auto in retail is always sweet. Getting one of a good player is beyond. Getting a former MVP and possible future HOFer is stupendous. Congrats on the great pull!!!
@@snerdterguson thanks i was happy for sure, didn't expect anything.
Wish we had flea markets like that here. Canada feels like a bit of a card hobby wasteland for secondary markets.
Tinker to Evers to chance
sweet!
Going to my first card show tomorrow for the first time in probably 30 years and the last one I went to was at the Washington Crown Center mall but I now live in Florida
i dont know why but from only hearing your voice and never seeing your face I always thought you were like a 60 year old dude. lol
anyway I enjoy the content. cheers
There is something about peel and stick autographs that just doesn't feel right.
I think that's a good price for the booklet. I would have rather seen Eric Davis or even Chris Sabo instead of Paul O'Neil.
Tinker to Evers to Chance
Is that mall symbol the moth man?
*Javier Lopez
$750 was a great price! I would of valued that card at $1500 - $2000 with all of the hall of famers. It's more rare then just a every day 1/1 auto card. Just try, and find all of those player in a 1/1 auto format by there self. You would spend over $2000 easy! That would be just $250 per "1/1 auto" good luck trying to find that!!!
Why are you hating on Paul O'neill He's a hall of famer in A lot of people's eyes💀💀 but yet we got players that dont even deserve to be in the hall of fame and they're there!!
They could have put Tom Seaver on there instead of O'Neill.
I personally would rather have an O'Neill auto, but I'm a Yankee fan and Paulie is close to a deity for us. At least for those of us who watched him.
@snerdterguson Seaver is my favorite player. My dad took me to see him pitch with the Reds when I was 11 in Houston. I got to see him pitch again when I was 15 in L.A. too.
I'm recently retired police officer in Canada, and longtime collector. Started as a kid with hockey in the mid to late 1970's. I'd like to think I'm not a chump change mofo, but the whole grading system along with soaring card prices has become almost too much for me. I'm young to have my years on at 54, and sold most of my older cards for next to nothing years ago. Still have a very large collection of UN-graded hockey and baseball, but stopped buying 7 or 8 years ago. At least stopped buying high end boxes, but still the odd pack here and there. Anyone have advice for selling off raw cards these days? Did a lot of buying on eBay, but never sold a thing online. Thinking of selling off some if not most of my collection. Have a ton of auto and many game-used or relic cards. Huge Philadelphia Flyers collection. Decent Yankees as well. A lot of the 2000's and up, but many 70's and after hockey. Anyway, sorry for the long winded message. Just looking for advice. Thanks.
Javy Lopez not Baez lol
That booklet is sweet!
Love the booklet. Would probably have been even better if they just left Paul O'Neill off the card entirely!
I mean the only person they could’ve probably replaced Paul O’Neil for is Tom seaver
Joey votto
Maybe Sparky Anderson, but I'm not sure if he was still alive then.
But Paul O'Neill is kind of HOF light. He's bot a plaque in monument park and his number retired. As a Yankee fan, I would never be mad at a Paulie auto.
Sofia is really pretty jabs. You've done good man
Thank you! She’s great!
You never pay what they ask for anyways.
It's a great booklet, just me personally, I wouldn't pay a $1 for a Panini product. No logos is a no no for me.
Awful take.
Why is it an awful take? It's their PC, not yours. How is it even a take at all? They just stated a personal preference.
@@snerdterguson it’s an awful take because he came on here to make sure jabs knew that because it’s Panini it’s not as good as what he likes. That’s why. He could have just said cool card and left it at that but he didn’t.
@@snerdterguson it is a bad take because anyone would pay more then a dollar for that booklet even if they just wanted to resell it.
He's just stating his opinion on the booklet. Isn't that what the comments are for on these things.
I'll take Paul O'Neill over the other 7 guys. Paul O'Neill is a Yankees Legend!
Pete rose will never get into the baseball hall of fame.
Love Rose, hope he doesn't get in. Sets a terrible precedent for allowing gambling on players' own teams.
You're thinking too much about the price... it's worth what it means to you ... especially if it ends up in your PC ... you could have paid $3,000 if it's worth it to you. Me personally I wouldn't have paid more than $600 for it.
Timeless sg wanna be,
Amazing booklet! 👏 Thanks for the great content as always, Jabs! Gotta be awesome to find and sign your own card at a show! 🙏
