Those settings allow you to take photos faster, but they don't necessarily fix the motion blur issue. If an animal is moving, taking 24 pictures of it instead of 12 isn't what people are looking for. They want the shot to be sharp, not blurry. I'm looking forward to see a side by side comparison of the actual photos.
Thanks for talking about the slow shutter lag. This has been my number one disappointment with the s23 ultra and the reason why I have gone back to using an iPhone and a pixel. I can't recommend Samsung phones for parents with young children because the vast majority of shots taken indoors results in blurry photos of kids and animals.
I bought the s23u when it came out but I had to return it because several photos of my daughters were blurry. Really a shame because apart from that the phone was great but my Iphone12PM took sharper photos.
I second this. I got the S23 Ultra at day one in February and I have been super happy with it until my baby was born in late May...since then, I am looking for an alternative, most probably will end up with Pixel 8 or 8 Pro.
Here is my 2 cents . I beleive that minimum processing does not fix the shutter speed issue . It just fixes the shutter lag. Shutter lag alludes to the extra time taken between two consecutive photos .. Shutter speed is the real problem that i am facing . Slow shutter speed has no satisfactory solution as far as i have tried and i have tried all or most of the options. When the shutter is slow the moving images will start to appear blurred . The only fix that i kind of found for this is to use the pro mode and increase the shutter speed manually but then the image tends to get dark as a result so this compromise is the only thing that i found so far for the blurriness issue present in shots taken of moving objects. If you want to experiment...go to promode and increase the shutter speed and then take the photo of a moving fan and you will see each wing individually but the inage will become relatively dark as the shutter was too fast to capture sufficient light .
i think samsung just needs to add a shutter speed option to the default auto camera mode. something like slow, medium, fast shutter speed that the auto mode still adjusts iso automatically for decent exposure, or an auto "point & shoot" mode that optimizes faster shutter speed for fast moving objects. if the limitation is hardware, ie a bottleneck between the sensor itself & ISP, then they need to improve the hardware BUS between the main sensor & ISP, instead of focusing on more megapixels etc.
Hey, good video and it’s kind of unbelievable that Samsung still hasn’t fixed the shutter lack how many phones have we been talking about this from the S8? I don’t remember, but you can buy a pixel six a get really sharp good pictures of your kid moving our group of people are your dog probably get the phone for 150 bucks
Samsung S23 remains number 1 for many reasons including an option for financing compared to Apple who decided to cancel financing unless you use sucker carrier companies
My Samsung S23 Ultra is fine and the Advance Intelligence Optimisation is set to set to medium, so the scene Scene Optimiser is greyed out. I hardly notice lag in most situations, but if the flash is set to to ON, there is delay. I hardly use the flash, so not a problem.
It is necessary to emphasize that the pictures are blurry mostly in closed spaces and in places where there is not enough light, and that when taking pictures of people in motion, the picture becomes blurry! Now, is it the sensor that can't collect enough light fast enough for a good picture or the processor, that's up to the experts to explain 🤔
I have tried this without success all photos appear blurred ....when the object is moving ....now this blurr thing does not happen all the time . But when it happens i noticed that burst shot does not solve the problem at all.
Useless cos it reduces image quality. Why can't Samsung solve this with the power of the chipset used?? Don't get it they not been able to solve it for years.
yep, i would think they should just process the pic in the background with ai without compromises while increasing the shutter speed, since this is really bad when you let someone take a pic of you from your phone and they're not aware of the lag so you get blurry images 😕.
Shutter speed is completely different thing than capture lag. Please use the correct terms, it's confusing AF. But nice remainder, I kinda hate the processing 80% of time, so I might turn it off or to medium at least (not that I have found any issues with capture lag, but the processing is just terrible).
@@TechOdyssey Well, the issue is not shutter speed either. If you mean the delay between the button press and when the picture is taken, it's lag - a lag before the picture is captured, so capture lag is pretty good term IMO. Whatever you want to call it. But it's not a "shutter speed issue", if it was you could simply change your shutter speed and the issue would be gone, but that is not the case. The problem is the processing time, isn't it?
Samsung need to take the photo first and then process after with ai. Thats what google do take the photo whist speed super fast then when go in to photo start to load a little but then the image come to life.
Im a samsung fan but I cant use it until they fix the shutter speed this is ridiculous, I go on my car and I cant take fast photos like I can on the iphone so I will use it again when they fix it...
I was one of those people thay brought it back due to the lag. amazing phone but the camera lag was killing MY experience. As for the cooking joke they say there is some truth behind every joke lol just kidding.

But you're right. You can take photo faster, but the motion blur is still there.
It will never end
That’s what I did and went to iPhone 15 plus….
Pixel cameras first capture the "RAW", then it processes in it the background. Maybe Samsung should adopt that system? I dont know.

Medium setting is where I leave it at, not only faster shutter, but less processing

Wait u paid $1800 & u had the shutter lag as well🤣🤣🤣

Unfortunately moving subjects floated, especially when there isn't enough light, I don't have that problem with pixel 6.

Just fix it by getting a pixel or iPhone 😂

Hey Adam will a unlocked Verizon s21 ultra work properly on TMobile?
Yup. Sure will
Great content. As for shutter speed, especially for dogs or kids, just hold down the shutter button for burst shots.

I wish people would understand the difference between shutter lag and shutter speed.
Does this work for z fold 5?
It should as long as you have oneui 6
Samsung will use something called "e2e remosaic " ( not sure how it's called) and its supposed to take 200mp photos 2 times faster than s23ultra..
My Z Flip 5 has no shutter speed lag at any settings, but I don't take many pictures.
Nice video
Thank you!

Who cares ,am not going to be shooting that fast like the way reviewers say it..I take my time to shoot
That isn’t the issue. It’s the shutter speed on close and moving objects, like a kid or pet. I’d they aren’t still it can come out blurry
