Yeah I enjoyed his style. He has some nice attack on it here in places, and with a heavy right foot for the listener's pleasure. He can move the tempo around really well, to give these jams life.
Disagree. It's generally believed that his last recording was called Slow Blues, an impromptu studio jam less than a month before he died. It's slow and funky. One of my fav Hendrix songs and I've been listening to him for over 50 years. It's not longer than 1:46 seconds and it can be found on The Jimi Hendrix Box set.
Mick Taylor was highly underrated, mastermind behind plenty of the Stones' hits. I always loved the way his clean style complemented Richards dirty blues tone
Do not think like that. Impossible. We must be grateful for what Jimi gave us. He was so gifted and giving. I still think Michael Jeffries had Jimi murdered.
@@thomaspick4123 Sadly, Hendrix dead was easier to "control" and profit off of. His words in Somewhere, one of the last compositions he was working on, and had yet to "finish/master" echo eerily this reality, in what sounds almost like a premonition "Back in the saloon my tears mix and mildew with my drink I can't really tell my feet from the sawdust on the floor But as far as I know, they may even try To wrap me up in cellophane and try and sell me Brother sell me, and don't worry about lookin' at the score Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah" 😢
Hendrix, hell yes. Never felt Stills was that creative before listening to Supersession with Mike Bloomfield and Al Cooper, Harvey Brooks and Eddie Hoh drummin'. Listen next time ya burn one.
When I first heard this I was impressed by the drumming. I really can't see there being too much drumming, but for the folk guitar purists I can see their point. It's good for me though ! 👍
@andremendes4819 Stephen Stils had a formal education in music, and Hendrix had none. If you listen to the recordings of both artists at that time, you can tell the difference.
Hendrix and Edward Van Halen playing together now that would have been really something to see and hear if Hendrix would have lived another 7 years I'll bet that would have happened and more than once..
Hendrix generational, Stills awesome musician. ❤❤❤
All Of hendrix's collaborations are freaking awesome

Jimi doesn't start playing until 34 minutes in. Not sure who the first guitarist is but he's damn good.
I never noticed stills much until I saw csny live, I learned how good he is that night
such a freaky blues player, I love their live version of “Almost cut my hair “
Stills played *all the instruments* on CSN's debut album.
@@papagreenemusicNot the drums ,Dallas Taylor played.
Hendrix' final recording was on Stills' first record. The song "Old Times, Good Times".

the drummer...unbelievable whoever it is. Makes the whole jam.
Sounds like Buddy Miles to me
His name is Seth jewman
Talk about a Super Session.
this is fantastic material
Would have really love to hear Hendrix and Mick Taylor together.
Mick Taylor was highly underrated, mastermind behind plenty of the Stones' hits. I always loved the way his clean style complemented Richards dirty blues tone
I wish hendrix wouldve lived longer and gained the maturity and musical independence he wanted... we just got the tip of the iceberg
Passed the torch to Steven Segal... kidding...
Agree with your statement.

The universe can only tolerate a very limited amount of excellence... that's my theory.
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Jimmy is here with us

It must have been difficult for Stils because Hendrix couldn't read music.
What do you mean?
@andremendes4819 Stephen Stils had a formal education in music, and Hendrix had none. If you listen to the recordings of both artists at that time, you can tell the difference.
Jamming means no sheet music
@@sluwisch Then you never saw Frank Zappa or Stephen Stills in concert.
