Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

Don’t you dare think for a minute that I didn’t assume Luna had pulled a Jedi trick and gotten in to be bred 🤣🤣🤣 bad legs and arthritis be damned 🤣🤣
Lunas a Ninja! She's smart and sneaky! Hahaha
I still miss seeing Zorro, he was my favorite 😭 I'm glad to hear that he's doing well at his new home!
Me too but I really like Winston now
I love the random Kiwi appearance! She's still a favorite of mine.
When is saw Luna in the buck pen I was so confused 😂
What?
me too 😂
Same
Same it was Larious
Lets be real. If ANY of the goats was going to find a way in it would be Luna XD
"Period panties" for dogs... 😂 Geeez u brought back some wild memories. My cousin left his dog with us for a couple months while he was out of town. He did NOT warn me she was not fixed. Surprise!!! That sent me searching for a way to stop her from dripping on my white tile...which ended with me sending a picture of his Rhodesian Ridgeback wearing "a black leather thong (his words)" to him...it was the only thing they had that would fit her size. 🤣🤣
The combination of 😂 the period panties and the hoeing ain't easy shirt is absolutely perfect 😂😂😂😂😂!! Lydia is doing amazing with the clicker her timing is perfect you want him to hear the command, do it and get acknowledged for it and that takes a moment keep it up and he'll be so sharply trained... I've also wondered how the coyote problem has been I mean you haven't posted anything so one could assume that because the dogs scent is all over the coyote is like " nah I'm good"
Nice to see Kiwi.. how old is she now? Is she still taking over chicken eggs?
Being from up north I looked at that little 33% humidity and remembered how bad July was for us with our 70-90s % humidity. It still gets up there a bit for us, but it's definitely not as bad as July. July was terrible. 😂 It's so crazy to remember y'all have "dry heat" so your 90° doesn't feel like our 90°.
Yes July was horrible!!
well its also at 33% humidity at like 106º a lot of the time 😭😭 there was a month period where it was 110º + daily as well😭
Zorro also had such a lovely temperament for a buck too! I'm glad he's continuing living his best Buck life!!
Omg when you said "Our humidity is at 33%. We're dying here." I almost died! LOL I live in FL and the humidity was 83 %.... Our temp was high of 90 and the feels like was 118..... Love your videos and recipe ideas!
Right?! 33% is NOTHING!
well our temperatures in phoenix were also like 110º+ daily for i think of all of july! 😅
@@jasperaw , it's still hot. But when you have humidity levels over 70%, that is considered tropical. It makes it hard to breathe, and sweat from the body no longer evaporates effectively and can't cool the body (like it can with lower humidity levels)
For a split second I was like OMG NO!!
SAAAME!! I was all like, “LUNA NO YOU SHOULDN’T BE TRYING TO HAVE BABIES!!!”
For Salem, try going to Goodwill and getting a one-piece bathing suit. Just cut a slit in there for the tail. It worked great when I needed to keep my dog from itching.
I get my first goats tomorrow!!!! A doeling and her wether brother and I am so so so so so excited!!!!!!!!!
Congrats! Goats are the best! I have a pet house goat. She’s in my bed right now 😂
I honestly can't believe they're *both* going to be in college...if I'm sad, I can't imagine you guys! Well, at least you have lots of animals to keep you occupied ❤
Cannot wait for babies! The bucks are filling out so nice and looking so handsome!!!
So excited! I haven't watched these videos in so long! It's nice to see everyone growing up! Time has gone by so quickly, and coming back to seeing this makes me happy to see how much the farm has grown. ☺
You and Sandi (sheepishly me) and your golden girls make me happy. ❤
For real me too
Those are my 2 go to videos when I'm on you tube!

Hi folks, Glad to see Luna doing well. Bucks will live together without fighting if they were born and grew up together. One will always be the dominant one though.I bet if Lydia started her own channel, it would make enough to pay for her college. She has such a cute personality, I don't think it would matter what topics she did on it, people would watch (:
Unfortunately some bucks we’ve raised together were the worst fighters
When it comes to leash training I recommend trying a head harness! There’s a brand called ‘Gentle leader’ and it works WONDERS!! it takes the dog a bit getting used to but it helps so much. We have a German shepherd husky mix, and she could not walk in a leash at all. Our vet recommended a gentle leader and it’s like MAGIC within 20 minutes she wasn’t pulling!
Omg I should have seen this when I got my husky, whenever we first put her on a leash she would just lay down and not walk.
Just In case you haven't heard this truck yet.... A "Onsie" works so amazing for this!!! They're a bit more difficult to find in the larger sizes. But they are available!!!
Good luck!!
We will miss handsome Ethan & beautiful Lydia but wish then a fun & productive fall.
I found the best thing that worked for my dogs when they’re in heat is boys underwear and half a Kotex pad! The boys underwear already has a hole and you can get any cheap pads & cut them in half & underwear is washable!
My buck could never live alone. When his doe love passed away he was distraught. Cried for days, then ran away looking for her. He was missing for 5 days before we found him. I bought him a new doe the next day. And now new babies are ready to drop hopefully tonight
Have you thought about trying hand signals with Casper to differentiate between sit and down? I had the same problem with my cocker, but added hand signals and she picked it up so quick. I personally use a fist for sit, and a down doing potion for down… 🥰
Our current temp in North Alabama is 91°, heat index is 109° and 70% humidity. It’s blazing hot!
A new video! Thank you!
4:04 Yes, definitely like Bambi!
I can’t wait to watch this video! ❤
😂 i feel like i age just a lil bit everytime the honey buckets appear.. and remember how far back of subscriber i have been based on what number buckets 😂 thank you and your family for sharing your lives.
All your lady's an gentleman are so beautiful ❤️ Are y'all feeling the empte nest yet?
Ahh love you guys! First! Love you guys so much!
Always love watching!❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸
Sending love from Philippines❤❤❤❤
I'm sorry for laughing when you said you were dying with 33% humidity! For us in Florida we'd die too but for the opposite reason, I think I'd shrivel up with humidity that low! It's 95° here with low Rh in the 70's. It makes the real feel temp of 111°
Here in indiana it's 71% humidity. Yesterday's humidity was 91% inside!! I'd for sure take 30 lol
Always great fun to be with you‼️ Wishing the two students well while they are gone and will miss them until they return for breaks.
I looove your intro; it is superbly made.
33% is still low for humidity Missouri humidity is between 50 and 70 most days.
Cheese culture is like a healthy microbiome: Because the cheese culture microbes are growing in an environment they like, they will outgrow and outcompete any "bad" microbes. Microbiology is definitely a fun class!
Oh my goodness, the memories y'all triggered with Salem's being in heat and trying to keep blood off of everything! We raised St Bernards, had 3 females and trying to keep the floor free of blood...we ended up pretty much with the same solution. Thanks for the memories!
with the dogs I'd reccommend also training them using hand signals coupled with the verbal command it helps them not get confused between different commands the clicker is also an amazing idea!
It also helps for when they get old and deaf like my 16 year old dog. I can still communicate with him using hand signals. His hearing isn't 100% gone but it's fading for sure
I want snacks too, lady goats!! ❤
Thanks for making that page! One my videos of all time was "do we regret selling our goats?"
Voice commands with dogs only go so far. Pairing a hand gesture with the command works best since dogs are visual learners. My frenchie, despite being lovably dumb as rocks, has gotten to a point where I just flash him the hand signal for “sit” or “down” and he does it without a vocal prompt.
It doesn't seem like I've been following you guys for that long, but it is crazy that little Lydia is old enough for college already. I guess it must be 9 years that I have watched them grow up.
I love all your videos. And I love Lunar, she's so cute in fun.😊
you all crack me up on the humidity at 33%, it is right now 8:02 pm central time, humidity is 82% 73 degrees lol, love you all, watching your videos for years now, have a blessed rest of your day ❤
I know I’m pretty late but I’m so glad you guys posted, I was having a pretty bad day and whenever you guys post, it always makes my day better.
I don’t know if your interested but cog hill just put out a video you might be interested in about their buck joe. You might wanna watch it!
Wondering how Stella and Astrid ended up in Modesto! That’s insane how far they are. I live like 40 mins away from Modesto and often drive there a lot!
Love from CA
I wonder if Casper would respond well to adding hand signals with the sit and down commands. He seems to “down” when Lydia steps back and “sit” when she steps forward. Thus he seems to be responding to visual cues rather than verbal ones. At least in the two minutes we watched Lydia train him.
Goats 🐐 🐐 🐐 🐐 🐐 are so very sweet. I'm glad to see Luna is still trying to get friendly. When the kids are gone , it will be quiet. Now l am sure the both of you will learn to enjoy a bit of privacy. Blessings be to everyone. 💚 💃 🕺💚💌💟💌💛💌😸😾😸😺😸😺😸😺❤️❤️❤️💟💌💟💌💟💟💌💟💌💟💌💛💌❣️💌❣️
I remember when willow was a baby she was so cute and u guys have showed me what it is like to have chickens and goats and pigs I love u all so much
Oh my gosh if I hadn’t watched your video in the middle of the night I would have run out to the store and bought pears and chèvre! Your snack looked amazing!!
Hi! I can’t Wait to See the Baby’s From All the Does! Their Going to Be Beautifu❤ I wish the Best Luck With The Babies. Love ur Vids❤ You will forever make my Days Better. Thank you❤
33% humidity? I wish we would get that low here in Michigan in the summer! Humidity is horrible. I LOVE heat, not so much the humidity with it!
Agree! My asthma i has been just terrible with our humidity. I swear I’m moving to Arizona one day. lol
Right after the Salem segment I got an Always zzz’s disposable underwear ad 😂😂
We've had over 90% in Nebraska for weeks now.
Love the video! Down here in FL our humidity right now is 75% and it's 98°😅
The humidity where I live is currently 93% 😂 Luckily it’s only 66 degrees out 😆
Thanks for sharing how things are going.👍🏼
So glad you got some rain. We are in Maricopa and haven't had more than a tiny sprinkle about a week ago and that passed by on the other side of our wall! Missed our yard completely.
Awe salem 😂
She got it!! Haha that cute and clever fix it on her. The shirt and period panties haha
I’m so excited for baby season❤
Please do a family tree about the goats!!!!!
We have one right here for you: wolftreeranch.com/our-goat-family-tree/
The humidity is at 55% , IN the house . Outside is at 95% humidity. I live in GA . 33% is like winter here lol
33% bahaha. We are in Georgia, We are pretty low humidity right now at 66%.
I love your videos!!! If you can by chance put a video up of you cleaning the milking station. I love how you guys live off of the land!! And someday I'm going to just be like you guys!!!
omg cant wait for breeding season
😊
I know it wouldn’t be healthy, but part of me got excited when Luna was “caught” in the bucks pen. 😬💖
Not only would it not be healthy, but the kids wouldn't survive, and neither would she. Many does die of being bred too old in the wild.
If you are wanting to help Casper calm down, because he is from a working dog line, neutering him might be your best option, if you haven't done so already. Getting your dogs neutered helps them not be so hormone filled and overwhelming them. Because he has been bred to be so high energy, it can be a bit of a hindrance having his hormones get the better of him. Even professional working dogs get neutered and spayed if need be, more often than not. It also helps decrease their chance of types of cancers. Salem and Casper being intact would increase their chances of breast cancers and uterine cancers and prostate cancers respectively. Having them neutered and spayed has been seen to increase their lifespans because of their decreased risk of diseases effected by hormones.
This is to say nothing about training methods or your care. It is clear you care deeply for your animals and you clearly train them well, but speaking from experience, sometimes taking that step is to the benefit of the animals. We had a dog who had a very beautiful nature but when he came into puberty, because of being influenced by hormones he was a harm to himself. He was much better off after neutering, of calmer mind and body and he was much more at peace with himself. It is not the same problem as Casper has, but it is a fair suggestion.
I forget that desert humidity is much different that southern humidity. 74% where i am and was thinking huh its not so bad today😂 ive lived in both climates
I just love all of your beautiful videos. Thank you for sharing.
A Weed Em and Reap alumni page! How adorable haha
It is clear to me that Ethan got Kevin's crafty genes and I'm here for it!
You scared me with Luna and the others in the buck pen. If any of them could find a way in, it would be Luna. ❤❤❤
My favorite command to teach besides place, their recall, sit, down, and leave it. Since my dog is now being trained for a service dog, he is learning brace and tuck with other commands. He is also my fishing buddy. He is great on the pontoon. When casting out, the leave it command works so well. God Bless!
Try 78% humidity and 110 degrees.
Out here in SE Louisiana.
❤❤❤
Try using hand signals with the dogs at the same time as giving the voice command. Doggy push ups are always a fun game in early training (sit-down-sit-down). It’s a fun way to teach the two hand signals
I miss Penny!
Do umbilical cord training for walking your dog on leash ,you tie your leash around your waist just pass it through the loop then to her collar keep it short and beside your leg . Do lots of stops and go quick turns to your left and wright every time you stop make sure she sites with the clicker but do the same thing all the time don’t change it you can even do it in the house while your cooking or cleaning
Good job with the training 👏👍
Awesome that you only giving a single command and then giving him time think and give you the proper response👏❣️
If possible try to get your clicker reward closer to the requested action. It will help him tie your command and appropriate action together better. You don’t need to worry about getting the treat so quickly. The magic is in a fast clicker reward. You want it to be faster then you can say ‘Yes’.
Lol Luna never stops making me laugh how’s Willow
I know that’s humid for Arizona but I wish we had 33% humidity, in Florida right now it is 92%. The air is so thick you can cut it with a knife 😂
I used to use toddler training pants on our German Shorthaired Pointer. Works great. Really absorb. Cut hole for stub. I cant anymore cuz we have rat terriers.
It’s been over 60% humidity in Cali this past week. 😭😭
Sounds like either Casper or Salem is gonna go on a trip to the vet soon✂️😉
Been a while since I watched a video from you all. Life been busy
Last month we (in New Jersey) had 95 degrees Temps with 80-90% humidity.... awful 😖
33% humidity is nothing compared to the usual 70+% we have in my country on the daily basis
Empty nesters 😢. Great year at college guys.
Prim looks so much like Willow's Mom
Yes!! She looks just like Penny! 🐐
It sounds like you can put a backpack with ice in it on their back and they’d be like ITS TIME ITS TIME
I used the reusable diapers and used pantyliners. Sometimes I used a big rubber band (red post office). I used to just keep them on a schedule when I lived in an area where they could hang outside and then go into crates lined with newspapers.
Can you post the balsamic vinaigrette?
Are you thinking of getting additional tubes and suction cups so you can milk 2 does at once.
I love y’all intro so much!!!!
I love your videos! I get so excited when I see you posted one.❤
That looks like what happened when I forgot milk in the microwave for a few days. It didn't even smell like sour milk or nothing it just smelled like cheese.😂
I love all thenthings you do for these amazing cute animals😊❤
Madam, you have college aged kids? Wow, you look very young.
You look like a college student your self.
