don't know if this makes sense but if anyone sees this I have a concert tomorrow and whenever I'm playing a high note it just stops playing and no air will go through the instrument and it feels like I'm just playing into it closed off at the bottom
Please help, I keep squeaking on my clarinet when i tongue the notes a,g, and f. I tried to pull my corners in to prevent what I thought was biting but still keep squeaking. I have a clarinet playing test tomorrow, and I'm worried I will squeak on my piece. Any tips?
A Boveda pack can be recharged by being kept in moist environment for about 10 days. I seal it in a tupperware container with some wet paper towels. I set the pack on a smaller container inside to keep it out of any water that puddles at the bottom. Works like a charm!
My mom just ordered me my first wood clarinet (band teacher recommended it, and I’ve played for 1 year), and I am interested in this, but the wood with silk cloth is out of the budget for the cleaning kit. We were thinking $30-40 . Have you found anything better with the cork grease, oil, silk cloth and such? Or should I just order each separately? But I would also like a cleaning cloth to keep the shine in the keys. We have almond oil stocked regularly, so should I just order a silk cloth and cork grease separately? (What brands would you recommend?)
I believe that guitarists use this same humidity level. There are some custom cases, like the one by Michael Lomax, that regulate humidity, but this is an easy way to do it in your existing clarinet case.

Niver ever put cloths in your clarinet case because you will damage your keys there should be a zip pocket on your case for your cloths.
