Just became a homeowner in summer 2019, and got my divorce at the SAME TIME.....God is so good. He blessed me and my daughter, all the thanks honor and praise to the father! Was not easy at all.......but I did it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is so encouraging. Wow my divorce was final June 2019 . I was house hunting b4 the lockdown but now i'm just on a standstill living in a rental I don't like. Just praying God will deliver me from here soon.
im only 11, but i can't wait to move out to my own house! i want to work at starbucks , have a mini for a car, live in a cute, clean house & have a cat & dog! yes i know, im so young and i shouldn't be thinking about stuff this, but im just so excited to move! ツ
If you k ow that is what you want now then wow as soon as you start working you can save a lot!! Going to uni and not working until 19 I missed out a lot of saving years!
@Lavender Pinkelle you sound very old😂 I do admit she is pretty young. But it’s pretty common for girls her age to be using the internet without her parents watching from behind
Hey love just want to say go to a community college after high school! Avoid debt as much as possible and strive for a career that pays relatively well! Then save save save! Good luck to you! you can do it.
At 23 I graduated uni after dithering about and not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. Lived and worked in London for a bit, moved home with my parents for a year and a half and paid low rent (£350pm) to have fun and buy myself nice cars and designer clothes, I burned through all my money. At 25 I got kicked out and moved in with my bf and got a reality check paying half the bills, I then suddenly had to cover my partners half of the rent, bills and car payment when he lost his job for a few months. I meal planned, I scrimped and saved, I sold my car and after 2 years of shoving £200 in a help to buy ISA and my new saving habit I saved 16k in a year while paying for two people for half of it. Next month at 27 I will be closing on my first home by myself. My bf will live with me but it is my property. I made so many mistakes on my journey, but it was only by being shown how tough it is without a safety net that I grew and was able to get my own home. Be proud of owning your own home at any age ❤️
I close on my house in the morning and trust me when I say “save save save!!!” Something will always come up and you want to be prepared for that !! Good luck to all 😊
I thought it was going to impossible to buy a single family house, but I did it. I took out money from my 401K for the down payment, and I have no regrets. It would have taken my about ten years to save that money on my own, since the cost of living here is extremely high. I increased my money going into my 401K after to 6% and all of the money was back in there within 2 years (would have been sooner, but they suspend you from putting money in for 6 months).
This video came at JUST the right time for me! I've just graduated and considering moving out, I've been researching this all week! Thank you Jade, love your channel so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Jade thank you for posting this video, I honestly do appreciate it but could you go more in depth with the process you went through. Maybe create a series where you talk through each step (you don’t need to be specific about your numbers and so on) just more in depth with the steps. I felt like you just skimmed the different parts of the process.
Girl ~~ they made an article on you in DailyMail however it seems to be positive and supportive of you. Aha, not the "newspaper" one would want to be featured in yet still well done
It's sad to say, but true. It used to be against the law to sell a house to a female. Those days are over with, long gone. It's no longer illegal for a woman to buy a house, and females don't need a husband or a male family member to get a house anymore.
I want to purchase my home one day preferably a reprocessed home. It will be affordable for me and I can renovate exactly what I dream of in a home. Also it would be fun recording the process
There’s no other greater joy than having financial freedom and a life free of debts, all thanks to Mr Nicholas, cause he made me who I am today through forex trade. He has helped me a lot with his trading strategies which helps me to earn $27,550 weekly. I really appreciate it and can't help but let others know about it because it is so suitable anyone can trade from anywhere and anytime, you can reach Mr Nicholas on Instagram @nicholas__fxtrade or What's App :+1(518) 633-5966. for more info. his indeed a God sent. now i don't need to be working 9-5
Saving is one of my biggest issues I have 😭I spend as soon as I get paid (literally on clothes and shoes) then I have no money left. thank you for this I definitely want to save for home ❤️
I used to be like that but what I've done is as soon as I get paid, I have an automatic standing order into my savings account then I will spend anything left. But I also hide my savings account on my Internet banking so I don't see the amount to be tempted to spend the savings.
If you have the savings, your payments shouldn't be that high. Depending on "how much" savings you have. 10k with someone making 60k isn't the same as 10k with someone making 25-35k.
@@MAGAMAN literally only just seen this. But hun, did someone hurt you to be so rude to someone you dont know? I could afford to make payments on what i was looking to buy at the time on my wage, but the x4.5 amount wasnt enough at the time to allow me to get the mortgage even though i had over 15% deposit
Billie Daniel I would think of ways you could up skill and get a promotion at work. Have a target salary in mind that will allow you to qualify for the mortgage amount you need and come up with a plan to get to that salary in x amount of years or months. Get more professional certifications or qualifications, change roles / jobs or even careers etc, ask for a pay rise, side hustle and things like that.
Hiya thanks for the video. Ive just got divorced and have been living in Mexico so moving back to England with my daughter we are having to start again with no savings. I thought I could save for a flat but ive just read that all flats are lease hold also the government schemes available are also lease hold there fore we dont actually own them. Can you share why you bought a lease hold and the benefits you feel it has for you?
I pay £950 in rent alone, I earn 33k in London. How am I not able to own a home. I feel the deposit puts us off because unless u earn over 45k or live at home lucky enough to not pay some money towards your upkeep u can't save the amounts they want for deposit. Any suggestions for owning without a deposit I'd love to hear it. Also a parent
Yes!!! I know... I'm down in Texas, have looked EVERYWHERE for these sofas, and you just can't find them here. So I guess I'll get one as close to Jades as I can 😢
My problem is that I am struggling to find anything in Surrey that my salary would allow. Can't buy much for 166,000 and i can't travel to far for work.
jade you have come such a long bright ! what was your budget for the apartment you bought in Essex or how much would you recommend to have to buy a flat? Xx
Hi..what has been the biggest headache if being a homeowner? As a single female still renting, I always think about pipes bursting and flooding the home specially in the winter (TX), roof leaks, clogged toilet, leaking faucet ....things that can cost about $20 to a couple of hundred dollars to fix depending on what it is just by going to a home depot and buying the part, but I would have to pay a company to come out and fix it and because I don't know any better, they will charge me 3 or 4 times what it actually is and I would just pay it....thigs like that is what keep me from purchasing a home. 😕 Any advise? Thank you in advance 🙏🏽
I don't get what was going on with you but I haven't experience the process being hard. Only thing is waiting for the right one takes time but I just get updates online.
your right you dont need a partner to buy a property...but the reality is some of us aint trying to do "help to buy" schemes etc etc....Reality is a lot of ppl want to buy a home not a flat and given the fact that London houses are ridiclous in pricing, i know plenty of ppl who are cash rich who struggled to get a mortgage or go via a mortgage broker.
heavily negative mindset says it all .. the scheme is there to help how can you complain ? Living in London isn’t a necessity .. how many well off people commute daily
@@henzopereira5308 "heavily negative mindset"??? 😂😂😂 this is the reality, these schemes put you on the ladder but are designed to benefit the government ONLY....paying rent and mortgage simultaneously combined, owning only a percentage of the property and giving back the percentage you owe at the CURRENT market rate rather than the rate you initially jumped on the scheme??? all so you can say i live in zone 1...and you right living in London aint a necessity thats why the exodus to outer London is real
@@yolandabenz4115 shared ownership and help to buy are different. Very important especially for women to do this. Don’t wait for mr right. I own a lovely 4 bedroom Edwardian house and bought it on my own.
What are your tips pls
1bissi like Jade it involves long term planning, self sacrifice in the short term for long term gain. Focus on that goal and don’t be distracted.
