- This is the longest video I've made I think lollll
The actual story of this video bounces around a lot in the timeline of the story so if it's not totally coherent don't worry about it! I don't wanna go too indepth about specific events due to possible spoilers and such! You're free to think or interpret it however you want though.
The "thesis" of this video in a sense, is about how Mariner and The King both take in and deal with power and control that they are given. How it shapes them as people and how they view others because of it. Take that as you will.

Im so hyped to see more waves always crash content! I was so enraptured by your story and setting I begged my partner to run a warrior cats ocean theme game so I can play lay in it! I love the whole concept your going for story wise. I know it’s not warrior cats but I love a good cat story. Your incredible and this video is one I’ll know come back to tons!

I've always been a bit iffy about Mariner as a character, but I do love how he appears to be written. Most of his choices can be traced back to Canary. Speaking of Canary... she seemed almost disappointed in one of the shots. It was a look that really was sad. Like this isn't what she wanted.
OTHER THAN MY RAMBLE. I loved the art here. The tweening and animations were utterly gorgeous. Keep up the good work!

Yasss an update to waves always crash. Ive been loving everything you've been building uptill now. And god the visuals in this video. The switching of povs and the crown was so mind soothing to watch. And omg the switch of mariner and canary walking towards each other and then canary headless 2:47 and the transition between Lain and Canary in 2:54 is just so good like your animation feels like a cold soup in a dreadful but soothing way

almost 4 MINUTE LONG wac video????? oh we are WINNNINGGGG. ohhhg i have so much to say about this... the colors and the editing are so fucking impressive dude. like i cannot imagine the amount of effort that went into this its WONDERFUL. ive been so excited for this video since i saw the wips on tumblr and it was sooo much more amazing than i had even anticipated. i LOVE the exploration of the cycles going on here and the reoccurring imagery/symbolism. the flock putting mariner in charge in place of the king under the guise of him being Better but ultimately hes just another cat not ready for the power and pressure of leadership and trying to keep his head above water (lol) in the only way he knows how. like thats such GOOD SHIT and its illustrated so beautifully here. not to mention the animation is gorgeous. im so incredibly intrigued by this story and its themes and characters from what youve showed so far and i am SO fucking excited to see where the comic goes and whats in store for these guys. absolutely amazing as always. time to watch this 1 million times. fuck the king
(also i love how we can see lain growing out his little beard (and presumably transitioning) over time. ohhh im so sorry you have to experience the horrors funky yellow cat)
Originally I though "ehh im not going to like this pmv not my style" and then BOOM! I got super into it!! The cool color palette and symbolism is super neat! Great job!

I'm so excited to find out more about Mariner and see how the story unfolds, i get the impression he wanted a quiet life and never wanted to be in power but circumstances led to it feeling like his only choice and he felt forced into the role. Also this song is so good, I love it
