    Thanks!!!!! I'm doing this with my elderly group of patients!!!! So happy to find something they can do. I'm adding real sand for sensory purposes

    excited to make this! my friend got me makeup and makeup brushes for my bday but i have never worn makeup, so this puts a great use to the brushes instead of just sitting in my cabinet!

      Aw that’s awesome!! Yes makeup brushes make great brushes if you’re willing to get them dirty for the sake of creativity lol…I sometimes like them better than regular paint brushes for blending!

    Not sure if this will ever be answered, but... how do you seal the sand in? Just to prevent them from falling off when I hang them.

      We didn’t seal them, but unless you are touching it we haven’t had a problem with it falling off..you could wait until it’s dry and do a coat of mod Podge over top or use a spray sealer

    It's gorgeous!!
    Is there a way to ensure that the sand doesn't come off over time?

    • @emilyseilhamerart
      @emilyseilhamerart  4 місяці тому +1

      I haven’t had an issue with sand falling off yet, but you could either spray it with an acrylic sealer or add a resin coat over top!

    Do you think e6000 would also work to glue down the shells? And can I use real sand? I can’t wait to try this to display shells from our beach trips!

    • @emilyseilhamerart
      @emilyseilhamerart  Рік тому +2

      Yes! E6000 would probably work best! Real sand would work fine too, I just like the bigger texture of the craft sand compared to the really fine stuff :)

    Omg I cant wait to try this!!! But do u just use hot glue on the edges of the shells?

    • @Islam_iz_The_Truth
      @Islam_iz_The_Truth 11 місяців тому

      And for the puffy paint is it just normal or is it fabric puffy paint??

    • @emilyseilhamerart
      @emilyseilhamerart  11 місяців тому

      Yay! I did just use hot glue (gorilla hot glue hold really well) but you could also use e6000 for a super strong hold!

    How about sealing it so the sand cant fall off?

    • @emilyseilhamerart
      @emilyseilhamerart  9 місяців тому +1

      I haven’t had to seal it because the mod Podge holds it in place pretty well. But would could add a top coat I suppose 😊

    • @lifeunfiltered4822
      @lifeunfiltered4822 9 місяців тому +1

      @emilyseilhamerart nice! If you did a top coat would it be mod podge, or a sealant spray of some kind?

    • @emilyseilhamerart
      @emilyseilhamerart  9 місяців тому

      @@lifeunfiltered4822 Mod Podge would probably work best but only if you wait until it’s completely dry from the first coat. I personally wouldn’t because whatever you use is going to change the look and texture slightly!
