From what I heard from the shuyookh, Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani was a Hasanayn, a descendent of both Imam al-Hasan ع and Imam al-Husayn ع The Grand Shaykh of the Qadiriyyah is Shaykh Muhammad Haidar al-Jilani, and he is in Gambia. Shaykh Umar Faruq Abdallah is his representative.
He passed already رحمه الله عليه 'cause he came about a little more than a century ago but left some of his Biggest Khalifas around this area “East Africa” who have a direct chain from him that goes all the way to Shaykh Abdul-Qādir Al-Jilani قدس الله سره العزيز.
