What version of Word and what operating system are you using? I just tried it this morning on the latest desktop version of Word for Windows and it worked fine.

It works only when we want to copy a single paragraph into an empty word document. If we have had already so many paragraphs in our word document then doing this method messes up everything.

Only select the pdf copied content where you want to remove carriage returns rather than selecting everything.
