An in-depth look at the Redevelopment of Wigan Town Centre by a shop owner disrupted by the demolition. I talk to many in the town, follow the demolition and rebuild of the Galleries Shopping Centre. Check out the multiple playlists over the last three years too. The full story is still unfolding, so keep up to date on the progress as it, hopefully, continues, championed by our Labour Council.

People complaining about the current "Wigan Waaaatch!" intro need to pipe down.
It's some of the most iconic audio currently in circulation and we can only hope that 2024's offering hits the same transcendent heights.
Congratulations on the two year anniversary. Here's to twenty two more!

Howcome they're putting scaffolding round that bit?...

Because its near the public and junction near the collage. They had scaffolding on Menses Street, side of Market, Standishgate and opposite Greg's for the same reason, to reduce risk to the public.

It's a demolition scaffold ...because its so close to the public access its to keep any debris and things inside the hoarding .just another way to keep the public extra safe 👍

How do you feel walking into a modern day retro arcade place, it still makes my heart tingle, if I walk in the door and the first sounds I hear are dalsim, yoga fire, and Hadouken, or PERFECT then I just have to go in..

We're lucky to have Arcade Club, NQ64 etc all in the local area.

I agree it is as much fun now and much rarer these days.

very true, its really nice that these machines still have life in them, and not just buried in the sand like a copy of E.T from atari, and the machines still have a fan base even in the very younger than us generation, however that could be just down to the fact its probably much cheaper now in comparison to what it cost us to play, just playing an entry fee to play all day, we where lucky to afford an hour in an arcade.
