The art is beautiful - the narration like an average 6th form essay

IN HIS SCULPTURE GIACO WAS PRECEDED BY ""ETRUSCAN
VOTIVE FIGURES"", AND ""AMADEO MODIGLIANI",,LOOK IT UP

1925-1930 figures are directly influenced by African Carving...forms and content which were also nicked by Picasso, Matisse etc.

I came here from a Helen Frankenthaler video. Like going from watching a nose-picking to a magic show.

Are these discriptions from Giacometti? Or projected descriptions by a wannabe psychologist?

Peppiatt stated: "I didn't dare go and knock." But why not? Why couldn't Peppiatt just go and knock on Giacometti's door and talk to him? I was looking at my most recent sculptures and it was obvious thatt hey were far superior to the scupltures of Giacomewtti which are so embarrassingly bad, and no one really likes them, but art critics have to pretend to becuase they are obliged to just as they pretend to lioke de Kooning becuase they are obliged to. I am still waiting for Peppiatt to knock on my door but I don't think he dare knock: but it is his loss, not mine

NOBODY WANTS TO KNOW ALL THIS ABOUT GIACO, GET TO THE POINT !

I do, you wally. The first art book I bought was about Giacometti when I was 17. Now that really took a long time to get to the point. Kinda put me off the artist a bit, the book was far too dense.
