- Welcome to my channel! In this video I play 18 holes at Woodholme Country Club with my coach Bernie Najar. I hope you guys enjoy the video!

Kyle is an example of why Bernie Najar is top 100. Congrats Kyle on your current and future WLD successes! I am sure it took a huge amount of work and obvious talent to get this far. A few really tough pins on a world class layout, not a course you can simply blast away and go low, all aspects of the game are required there. Woodholme is a hidden gem!
Love the 18 hole videos with Bernie adding game management strategy. Keep your head up Kyle, because no other person on earth is hitting a freakin' driver + SW to a 580+ yard par 5, that is insane. I hope you keep getting better so we can see you on TV on a weekly basis. You've inspired me to take the game back up after a 5 year hiatus and just played my first 18 holes this week. I've also been taking my 4 year old out to the pitching greens/ranges and he is "smoking" his drive 84+ yards and he's not even 4 feet tall yet. Keep up your improvement and keep inspiring all of us.
I need a Bernie. What a fantastic resource. Very much enjoy these kinds of videos. Extremely helpful. Thank you.
Can we get this man a checkmark already? Love the videos man keep it up!
Bernie is the man, would be great to see him on the channel more often as his insights are great teaching moments
Welcome back Bernie! Green high in two on an almost 600 yd. 5er with a wedge. OK, this is not your father's golf game. Nice compact swing on 4 with 6i; really like the overall technique. Gorgeous swing on the 1i on 5 (even though Bernie was annoyed). I sort of felt chipping/pitching held you back on this one and was somewhat below your usual standard. However, the lies and contours around the greens did often seem to be of above average difficulty, not to mention the greens themselves. Thanks for the vid. As always was fun to watch and inspiring.
Watched an older vid of yours before this one and man your putting stroke is looking great! Especially with the new wand. Keep up the content man! Loving it!
grew up playing this course... cool to see you beat my all time low there without trying
I pulled my back knee and soul watching you move through the ball
Thank you for all of the wisdom and showing us how to play course!
Those greens are something else.
For anyone who is looking for the best advice to lowering their score. Here is the one unpopular opinion you won’t hear. Start laying up. Figure out whatever your safe shot is and hit it off the tee. For me its a 4-6 iron. Anywhere from 190-220 yards with a very unlikely chance at hitting an errant shot. If you could hit anything consistently from 175-200 yards you should be hitting that way more often if the course allows for it. You can hit WAY more fairways and WAY more greens in regulation. Look at the start of this video, Kyle hit two bad tee shots into bad position and had to scramble to get back into an optimal position. Had he just hit his 2 iron on 2 which he’s much more accurate with, he could have Had a low iron into the green with a much better look than a 54° from 180 yards out with a tree in his way. his odds of hitting the green and two putting is very likely, Instead he scrambled to make par. Kyle is a great golfer so that’s not a knock on him, It just shows you that even great golfers have a hard time always going for low scores. What do you care if you hit the green on a par 4 with a driver/wedge than if you hit it 5 iron/5 iron?.. on in 2 is on in 2. 1 option may have a slightly better chance at birdie, but what’s the risk to reward? Maybe 1/4 you make a birdie being aggressive, but 3/4 you make a 6 or worse.. where as if you played it safe, you might make a birdie 1/4 but 3/4 you make NO worse than bogey but more than likely par. Everyone tries so hard to make birdies and eagles that they forget that pars are what you should be aiming for. You’ll have lots of birdie opportunities, most you’ll miss, but a few you’ll make. That usually evens out to even par with a good chance at under par. Every time you have a bad hole, it’s going to take 3 birdies just to get back from that mistake. If you have a bad hole playing it safe, you likely only need 1 birdie to get back from it, if that.
When you see Kyle's coach, tap A on him and he will tell you the secret to find the hidden scroll you need to advance levels.
This comment is hilarious.
That 1 iron is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever heard
The fact that this man uses a nine to match my five iron…….always mind blown at the naturally raw power in those swings. Love it
Always look forward to your videos especially with coach Bernie. I will be following his channel now. Always blown away with your club selection and how far you hit. Thank you so much for creating content like this.
Everyone needs more Bernie! ha
Nice video Kyle.
And as you said, it is really nice to have Bernie out there with you as well.
Nice swing, good coach.
Hey Kyle I grew up in Mt Airy thanks so much 🙏😊 for the Rattlewood cc course vlogs and congratulations on another world long drive championship bombs away 💣💣💣
I was hoping the mustache crud was food, but the more I look at it, it's definitely a booger.
His coach did him dirty not telling him 🤣🤣
I'm hoping the coach left after the first 9 holes 😆
Fellow MD native here. I also moved to SW Florida. You need to come down Naples way and play a round, my treat. What a surprise that would be to my scratch golfer buddy. I’m a 15H, playing with him is like an 18hole golf lesson lol
It really puts things into perspective when you watch the pros and most people don’t understand how good they are. Even the worst pro on tour would most likely beat the best amateur player trying to turn pro. They just understand everything a little better. My personal best is a 79 after my first year playing but lately I’ve been sucking and shooting 87+ on average. You’ll have record scoring days but the majority of the time you won’t be able to compete at your best level.
Okay
Reminds me of the caves valley vid. Love that video and the videos with Bernie
New to the channel and glad I found it! Really enjoyed watching the long drive contest this year, and super impressed and having fun watching you play too!
Golf is hard man .we can't always play good. 👍🏴😤
Love seeing you try both the aggressive and the conservative shot on a hole and seeing which one would’ve been the better play. Plus you’ll get more data in the long run about the best way for you to play a course if you keep going that route.
Omg the trajectory tip from coach there is going to make me famous when I drop it on my crew next round
I wonder how accurate that is but I thought that was a really cool tip as wel
@@sub_second_life3174 hahah I know I want to go through the full explanation, wow the group, then have the guy hitting the ball go right into the tree with it
Damn it your iron sound is just soooooo satisfying bro
Where was the 250 yard wedge shot?
4:45 - coach said it was a 600yd par 5, second shot. Lands next to the green.
@@windycityrosin thats not a 250 wedge shot it was 180 to the pin so 172 168 he hit a wedge stop the cap
@@swervinn2214 Yo bro, relax first... explain what you even mean. You seem very illiterate. Like.. you gave us 3 different numbers???
@@kaedynfunnell8252 he cant hit a wedge 250 yards are you kidding it was 180 to the pin so he hit that wedge shot maybe 172 or 168 not 250 just read kid maybe you wil figure it out
@@swervinn2214 Firstly, thanks for explaining your mislogical reasoning. Secondly, just relax a little.. you had no reason to come in eith such an attitude. Thirdly, you are a fucking fortnite kid so shut the fuck up. And lastly, have a good day.
I always love when Bernie is in the videos
This is great! I finally figured out a really solid swing and can start working on course management and strategy!!! Your progress helps me want to stay at it until I can start seeing my own progress!
Once it clicks, it's the best feeling in the world isn't it? hahahaha You start to REALLY fall in love with golf when you can gain consistency. - I felt compelled to comment because I had my eureka moment 2-3 years ago :)
All of your videos are sick man. Love the content.
i still havent seen you since you won the championship! congratulations man you deserve it
thanks for the inspiration kyle! thanks to you and bryson, i am going to get my canadian long drive tour card and give it a go as a senior in the 2022 season!! keep up the great work. greets from hamilton, canada! ps. if you have a spare driver to sell, hit me up! LOL
Really enjoyed everything in this video. Great tips and bombs
Idk why but I Crack up everytime you hit the ball lol you hit it so fricking hard XD
Love Bernie
Dude you are so consistent with your videos and you are very hard working. Lots of respect for you Kyle. Your gonna be pro one day I can see it.
Yes Bernie is the golf guru!hes got some calming charisma hasnt he Kyle!Enjoyed the vid Kyle.Keep pulverizing that ball.Would love to know what ball you play.Im guessing a bridgestone tour bsx?
Pretty sure he plays prov1's he's posted them on his insta a few times
Let’s goooo 18 hole videos r the best
And congrats on WLD win 👍👍👍
It will be definitely cool to see a course vlog of The links at Challedon
31:38 I swear your divots go further than some of my shots!! Also, where is that 250 yard wedge shot the title has in it? Kinda misleading my friend. Still, happy to see ya shoot, love watching ya hit a 7 iron further than my drives!
As much as risk factors in with alternative plays at distances for which a course is designed...at your length, accuracy at length and strong short game, there will be times when the long play is not only less risk than you may think, it is a real edge for you...an unanticipated opening in the guards of the layout....playing the alternatives as you do will improve instinct and trust for this over time.
Great video and beautiful course Kyle!
Dude I remember subbed around 13k. Crazy. Congrats man, keeps smackin em
Kyle I was out on the course today and saw a deer and three babies. Must have brought me good luck because I chipped in for birdie
Tough greens
your excellent at those 4 to 6 footers you treat them like tap ins.
Great videos you’ve had coming out! Thanks for the content. You should do some more videos with Good Good! Those videos are always super fun. Been awhile since you’ve filmed with them 🍩
Any Bernie content is good content 👌
Maryland has a lot of great courses, lived around the area for 20+ years, Whiskey Creek is one of my personal favorites in MD. Have you gotten a chance to play Whiskey Creek?
I dont usually hit a wedge 250 yards, but when I do, it's usually around the green
Kyle, will you try going for the corn ferry tour in a near future?
Hi Dad
Hey Kyle,
Could I ask, when you hit your 2 iron off the tee, do you hit down on the ball or are you trying to hit it on an unswing like a driver?
Really enjoy your videos.
0:34 Kyles like okay that's enough that's all you get to say.. lol
8:16 His coach sounds like a prerecorded coach on a golfing video game lol
Just imagine for a second how Kyle would look like if he was bald with no beard? 🤯
@Andy Cyr Lol 😂
Left the face open on the drive on two and second shot then over corrected on the 3rd tee box. Super difficult thing to do but try figuring out your shot wind, direction, distance. Then setup over the ball and clear your mind and swing. Don’t think about how to swing, what your club is doing, your swing path, anything. just clear your mind completely and swing at the ball. I’m a dumpster fire on the golf course most days but whenever I can manage to do that just simply clear my mind I make the best contact, accurately execute shots I draw up, the whole 9 (pun intended ha) . It’s a big mental game but I lot of that mental part is just being able to shut off your mind snd let your body do what it knows it needs to do.
One question. Where did you get that shirt because I absolutely need it.
great video. how are your plans doing to make it on tour ?
hitting a smooth wedge must feel like going backwards in time for this dude
The only person I can think of making the hero shots was good old Seve
Phil? He’s had some legendary hero shots
Tiger woods
Just curious as to the loft gapping on your wedges…?? Your PW is 46? SW is 54 then jump all the way up to 62 LW? Or is there something in between?
He has PW then a 50 degree then a 54 then 58 then 62
Kyle, your driving and putting is fantastic.
Have you ever tried clubbing up and swinging easier on your approach shots to give you more control?
Are you gonna post your footage of your recent world championship?
When are we gonna see you on tour?
Hey man. You did not go in the middle of on hole seven I saw you hit it way right in the pond or in eight Fairway. I should know I play it damn near every day
He’s right I play here too. That tee shot on 7 had to be water or at least in 8 fairway. You put that ball in the middle of the fairway.
I swear your divots go further than I can hit it! Love the content!
Different breed
“I’m not really picking up on the wind”
*flag motionless* *leaves motionless*
It would be cool to see you play some courses I have played, I was just down in Maryland last week in OC
Have you played any competitions yet this season Kyle?
31:36 that divot tho😩😩
Only +1 when short game isn’t firing says so much about the advantage Kyle’s distance gives him
not as long as kyle, roughly 340-360, but being long definitely changes your game... as long as im in play i really dont care where my ball is im i likely between 60-120 yards...even if i fuck up my 2nd shot i got a chip/putt left for par/birdie
Who ever thinks a 250 yard wedge shot is impressive has clearly never seen my around the greens.
Skulling it doesn’t count, trust me 😂😂
😂
😅😅😅
You can't hit your driver 250 yards. Hater
Have to admit I miss the old "Sound UP!"
You must do another good good video
It’s crazy how everyone has their own standards, whenever i play like you in this video i feel like a god, but you feel as if your not playing well.😂
Kyle with your speed and your distance I would leave your driver in the bag hit a 3-wood about 3:30 down the middle of the Fairway and then work on your scoring clubs it just seems to me on most of your vids your putting your self in awkward positions your Game is definitely heading it right direction
I now can't hear "It is what it is" without thinking Kyle Berkshire
I think I injured my back watching him take practice swings
MD native? I’m in NoVa. Would love to play with a round
Get that freaken 2 bro
Hate to think what I would shoot around here, brutal pin positions on already tough greens
When are you going to start playing in tournaments
Does Kyle need Irons ?
Driver, some Woods and 4 Wedges seems fine :D
All good having the distance but tour pros or even very good amateurs just aren't missing greens from 150.
The title just hurt my ego before even watching
Par is 73 not 72 and I didn’t see any 250-yard wedge shots btw!!!!!
Par is 72 and he did hit a 250 wedge, youre blind
@@braydenolenak-hobbs19 what hole
@@wes1588 when he had a sand wedge over a few trees he was about 250 out
@@braydenolenak-hobbs19 WHAT HOLE? ARE YOU BLIND?
How about some more match play either stroke play or by hole. Against pro or regular Joe.
Lesson here is, you can have all the power in the world but if you can't hit your FIR and GIR's then you will just struggle to score. Tough course nonetheless.
use an iron off the tee and probably play full time on tour eventually...
Kyle, you didn’t yell FORE on the second hole bro! What’s up with that? 😂
I just wanna see one vid with an ultra high spin ball
You should get Bryson and plat Woodholme
“250 yrd wedge shot” some clickbait right there
WHO is settning up the camera on the greens? You Cannot see the hole
