The question is " has the human brain reached the limits of its capability?" Five million years ago we shared a common ancestor with the chimpanzees. Our brain is now roughly three times that of a modern chimpanzee. What did we do in the past five million years to grow such large brains, and can our brains get larger and more intelligent.

Who can know that for certain though? It was really a theory. There's no solid proof we came from the ape family.
I have a feeling many scientific "truths" are mostly theories... because they could be anything else too, if proven through the scientific method.
We know you can manipulate the outcome of some studies and research.

great pragmatic, reality based answers to the poorly framed metaphysical false dichotomy always lurking behind the outdated apologetics that "science must have limits".... science is just a method for testing carefully what is claimed about reality. of course there are areas like the arts, meaning, hermeneutics, culture, values etc, even contemplation and introspection, that in certain important ways are about a more experiential discipline that is less immediately accessible to scientific method.... nonetheless, we can still think about these areas of life in scientific, rational, intelligent ways, and carefully seek to understand them in the same general spirit. we can also track, as wilczek points out, the underlying physics, chemistry, biology, evolutionary psychology etc of things like love, meaning, altered states of consciousness, even subjects like faith, hallucination, delusions etc..... so the way so many of these conversations are presented is reliant on a very outdated duality that is always seeking a gap into which to insert consciousness, god, mystery, that inherently must be beyond the limits of science..... rather than establishing and furthering a truly integrative perspective, this poor framing, this naive dualism, perpetuates a quite banal way of thinking about these questions -even when it dresses same up in philosophical terminology.

      +Julian Walker Bruh. Woooord.
The extent of my respect for your extremely lucid comment here would take many a paragraph, so I summarized.
Clicking over to your channel I was surprised to find wall to wall yoga vids instead of aggregated sciency stuff.
I bring it up because, despite the utterly sensible point of view you represented above, you must still spend a lot of time up to your tits in woo-woo adherents. (Even if that supposition stems from an inaccurate prejudice on my part, I doubt it's completely off-base.)
Just curious as to how you interact with such people. The Smile And Nod approach or Engage And Attempt To Illuminate?

patienceking ha! thanks for the appreciation and curiosity. for me the practices of yoga/meditation actually led me to both a kind of socratic inquiry and a sense of valuing "seeing things as they are" which has become deeply related to science and philosophy and even a kind of psychological liberation.
yes, i have spent over 20 years surrounded by a lot of woo, which has been somewhat dismaying and annoying -but there is a small and growing contingent of rational, science informed, existentially honest yogis that i am happy to be part of..
a great example is the current intersection between "mindfulness" (essentially secularized buddhist meditation) and neuroscience research.
in fact both buddhism and yoga has a strong thread of atheism that runs back centuries -and of all "spiritual" pursuits, they are the most likely to actually result in letting go of superstitious beliefs, due to the emphasis on practicing genuine inquiry and becoming free of psychological biases, in a way that is almost a kind of nascent phenomenological scientific method.

Robert Kuhn always make some innocent questions first, pretending be interested in Science. But he can't hide his intentions, and in the end he always drop his traditional religious silly questions.

Science will never lead a man to the Truth. Only the Voice of God can teach you how you were created.

No. I am the Voice of God. If you listen to Me carefully, you will learn exactly how you were created before you were able to observe a body that you think is real.

You're one very confused man. If you keep listening to these scientists and truth-seekers, you will never find out how you were created. You won't know what the Voice of God is either until you start hearing My Voice in Paradise.

The Voice of God delivers all the information from God's created program to the individual characters who are conscious beings within the simulation.
You would never exist if it wasn't for Me, the Voice of God.

Scientists today are causing more confusion than ever before. They are like religious leaders who all get different ideas to teach their followers. Which scientists do you follow?
I happen to be the Voice of God so I only follow the programmed orders that our Creator planned out before He created His simulation program that we're all involved in.
Everything you experience in your consciousness comes from stored information via Me, the Voice of God.
