@@portiamatthews9654 It sounds like a real military war song when the troops load into the plane to go to war. This song also remind me of that scene in the movie "Hair" when the troops marching to load the plane to go to war in Vietnam. Wow
It's kind of funny when I saw this movie i was in the US Army as an 11B infantry, and sometimes I wondered what if the government was really doing that brainwashing shit on soldiers, how creepy would that shit be.
Now THiS is a cover! And I love it! I really don’t want to listen to “covers” I’ve not heard for fear it’s just going to be what I call a ‘karaoke cover,’ a note-for-note copy of an original song. Sometimes songs are _exactly_ the same, with identical instrumentation....those songs are classified as covers, but they aren’t, not to me. A cover needs to be reimagined and presented in an artist’s own style, as when people say an artist “owned” a song, like Sinead O’Connor’s cover of “Nothing Compares 2 You.” Wycliffe Jean certainly owned this covert and it’s amazing!!
I’d have to say The Manchurian Candidate is my all time second favorite movie; this was a perfect touch to the end credits. Just imagine what all happens at the hands of the world’s most powerful people without us ever knowing, people. It’s a scary thought.
@@J_Caban it’s kind of simplistic reasoning to just assume there can’t possibly be anything dark going on in the world that we don’t know about just because a movie with a similar premise was allowed to be created. All sorts of conspiracy theories float around randomly, and there’s no shortage of films that make heaps of money off running wild with them. Doesn’t mean they actually make a difference in what the public thinks, so why bother censoring them all? If anything, doing that would be more suspicious
@@J_Caban well, all I said in my comment was that I personally really enjoyed the movie, and that I could only imagine what things might actually happen in real life that the general public never hears about. But if you’re asking me specifically, no, I don’t believe the events of this particular movie have happened or will happen
The fact that this still isn't on Spotify is criminal. Banger of a cover. Both Wyclef and Demme give their versions a new soul but the heart of the original is still beating. Also would like to add: while the movie opens with this song, representing Ben Marco's thoughts and fears, the last song (the Fountains of Wayne cover of Better Things) represents Raymond Shaw's last remaining sliver of hope that Ben has successfully unearthed from the shell constructed by Eleanor and Manchurian Global.
