Beautiful . Most of these videos showing the erection of the CLT panels don't show the dammung and siding being installed. i would very much like to see how each company does this as there is always something new to learn in this regard.
    Anyway ,super beautiful building!

How long will that CLT last?

decades if not centuries when well maintained

@@jimidle6168 and by "maintained well" you mean....... thousands and thousands of dollars if not every year, every two years?
Inflation of food prices is growing, inflation of other stuff is surging and above all that, I have to think about the roof or even the house will crumble upon me, while I sleep?
Isn't the stone the most thing that can withstand centuries or even millennia and NOT THE TREE cause the the stone is not burning but WOOD DOES?

@@kledrcridle7972 You got it all wrong. They put CLT houses on fire to test how it behaves in that situation. What happens is that, the outter surface of the CLT will form a charcoal Shell protecting the inner core of the CLT so the house won't colapse during a fire. Also because wood bunrs at a constent rate it's easier for firefighters to know how long the building will hold, making it way safer going inside to rescue people for firefighters. They also tested CLT house for earthquakes and it does better than concrete house. It's due to the flexibility of the wood wich will take the vertical and horizontale shaking way better than a concrete house will, because concrete is not flexible what so ever it will rather break than bend. If you're scared that you're roof will crumble upon you when you sleep because it's out of wood. it's also out of wood in most concrete houses. I study wood technology and engineering so for me I'd rather sleep nice and warm in a woodden house where I know what the wood will do in certain situation than in a concrete house where the steel will melt at a certain heat where the wood won"t.

@@kledrcridle7972 oh and by mainted well I ment during the buidling fase. When the house is done you don't need to do anything to the wood the keep in strong it will stay like that for centuries.

@@jimidle6168 so.....no spraying against pests? Mice? Other menace? You know that wood is "breathing", wright? When something is sprayed on it, for example against cockroaches, a part of that spraying will stay and be consumed by the wood and in certain conditions, it will release the spraying back. You know that, wright? And some of those "sprays" against the pests are cancerous to the humans, you know that wright?
On the occasion of earthquakes and concrete......the metal within concrete can withstand high temperatures. I mean, even if it from aluminum.......but on the other hand, wood and staples and that other stuff that is used to build a wooden house......that will not withstand high temperatures.
And there is this question for rotting wood.....Wood is rotting, wright? I haven't heard for the concrete to rotten. There is this so called "brutalist architecture" where concrete and metal to bind within the concrete and glass for windowing...... Don't you think that that is more stable than any building by CLT?
There is a reason that people want concrete and bricks.......I don't know the exact reason but one of them is "feeling more secure"
