24:02 if you have to use mythical blind, then use it before pokeball (thats the better statistics). In this case you use pokeball to look for pory, but didnt find it. So i wouldve just held on to the slab for next turn. You only use it blind after using 2 prof or its an emergency hail Mary play bro hope you dont take my comments in a bad way im just trying to help everyone learn how to use slab better. Beside the 2x leaf play vs gyara and front lining him where he has free retreat cost to gyra 1shot, and charging up kirlia when it already has 40dmg mark rather than mewEx - the rest of the decision making for the video was clean. Its a nice vid Good job :)
Yeah the mythical slab on that game was very weird. 😅 I don’t know why I just wanted to play it in the line. But usually it’s also slab first then search/draw cards. Thank you for your support 🙏
@@Tonytan-q8k Really appreciate the response. Most YTers dont take the time. Assuming we dont have pory and its an emergency ko cituation, slab 1st before prof is very risky. its all on the statistics, if ur hand is full of trainer cards then i guess its ok, i just dont see the up side of doing it 1st without pory. But the downside is very much a thing, putting a 2nd prof or potion (if thats what u need at the time) to the bottom is the worst feeling. i would argue prof 1st then if u still dont draw a basic/mon / answer then slab as a hail mary (makes the odds in our favor) or to filter the next draw. best case scenario would be to 1st draw pory with prof and then use slab. In this case if we slab 1st - then the pory is on top, it goes to the bottom. The argument here is that after drawing 2 cards you have an idea of what's remaining in the deck and from there on make a calculated risk with slab. At least this way the slab was used in a somewhat calculate way or just save it for next time when u really need it.
12:18 Leaf on a 0 retreat cost Starmie ex (and didn't retreat the turn before when Gyarados ex was already setup)... incoming back to back Alakazam got Kebita scared there.
bro if you have prof and porygon, always prof 1st before using data scan.... You want to filter everything you draw after using prof. I cant imagine using data scan 1st and then not drawing - there's no scenario that comes to mind where not using prof is good (in general) = unless its a turn where u have to use leaf to retreat then maybe
Tools have the great potential to really balance out "metas". At the start of Mythical Island we were seeing a lot of Starmie EX, Mewtwo EX, and Pikachu EX. Celebi was the safe new powerhouse while people were theory crafting. Blaine made some waves, but it is more a meme than anything else. Now we are seeing a lot more variety in deck composition as Mythical Island fades out. Raichu is doing well, Genetic Primeape/Marshadow is doing well, Alakazam is doing well... I say all this to say that as we get more packs we are seeing more diverse decks that aren't "meta". Every type is able to shine.
I think Alakazam is strong but inconsistent, becos:- 1. It’s a 2-stage evolution; and 2. It does not pose early-game threat (stage 1 is too squishy) I’d say slab and porygon mitigated the first issue. The second issue is a tough one. I tried pairing it with Jynx /Beheeyem to put early pressure, but it still felt a little off. Idk, maybe Florges is a good partner, but a 4x 2-stage evolution deck will need Chatot 😂

I didn’t even realize that animal play 😂
@@Tonytan-q8k it was a paid actor indeed
5:00 yoo a shout out to mogwai
My inspiration for starting YT 😤
someone totally forgot starmi has no retreat cost, proceeds to use leaf next turn
I didn’t even catch that while I was playing 😂. Bro was probably shaking 🫨 lol
Use it with bahemith, total beast for 1 energy
The aggressive alien 👽. Need to try that out soon 🤔
Porygon is busted 😮😮😮!!!
Bro Porygon Z next set??? I’ve been wanting to make a Porygon deck as a main attacker 🥹
@Tonytan-q8k Maybe with Z when they eventually release it.

I must’ve missplayed that one time 😅
Do you think Alakazam will get better when the new set comes out? Or will Alakazam fall off? 🥹🤔
Do you Think there will be a alakazam ex?
@@crispfrittergaming3835you’re asking the real questions here 😮. What king of attack or ability will it have though? 🤔
Palkias gonna make the gyarados matchup a lot worse
