The fact that the My Life album literally saved me from killing my self back in 1994….and here it is the documentary dropping in 2021 on my muthaf***in 40th bday June 25th is UNBELIEVABLE‼️ I get teary eyed just thinking about this dropping on my 40th bday‼️The fact that I’m even still alive to witness this after all the pain I’ve endured‼️ Thank you for everything Mary‼️ Love you FOREVER‼️💜✨

@SuperBri31 First of thank goodness you overcame whatever you were going through to not go through with the suicide. It's funny as many people that she touched & talked to through her music, she was dealing with her own demons as well. I listened to My Life CD while I was pregnant! I swear my daughter should know that whole CD! Omg her last CD got me through my divorce. .... while she was going through hers! I'm right there with you as far as being one of her biggest fan! I seen her at the Cincinnati Music Fest & I had to give her a standing ovation as soon as she got on stage & didn't sit down until she left!

It's ironic, I remember that song, "My Life". My Life, was full - college, work , full-time ministry, adult children & 9 grandchildren & in a "relationship of sorts" ... BUT I was Morbidly depresse. ALL I could think about was suicide. For All I was involved in & surrounded by, I was utterly alone. Mary's "My Life" enabled me to cry when I couldn't. Every one around me thought & expected me to be Strong - but I wasn't. Those tears as I sang "My Life" helped to purge So many destructive emotions & feelings. BIG "Thank You" to Mary J Blige for her transparency. GOD Bless You

I really hope Faith Evans is involved in this documentary in some type of way. She contributed background vocals and I believe co writing on the My Life album: She probably won’t be, but I was just curious to see if she’s in the doc at all. Just my thoughts.
People sleep on her contribution. She held a key role in the success of the My Life project.
