I'm incredibly new to fighting game P4AU being my first since I love Persona, and I love Yukiko so this video is actually super helpful even though it's going to probably take me hours or days before I can reliably do this. Thank you for the helpful vid!
@@zarioops4578 no problem 😊. As long as u get down her neutral game and know her basic bnb combos, u should be good to go. But still go to training mode and learn her advance combos. Let me know if u have any questions alright?
you might not know the answer to this but how much of this video applies to the original persona 4 arena? I’m on Xbox for the foreseeable future and we don’t have ultimax 😭
I'm inspired i don't even play the zoner archetype. I've always played rushdown power house brawler type. But yukiko is so cool i like her character/design. This is going to be pain....

Yeah the older videos is from 1.0. Yukiko and shadow yukiko play style changed so I wouldn’t look at those. I’m glad I was able to help u ☺️. Let me know if u have any questions.
Best part about this is that before i watched this i was trying to decide a zoner character i pick between Yukari or Yukiko. after i watched this. Even did her and during one of them i was doing agi loop It then i was set on wanting to learn on how to play her. Thx for putting the time to make this

Awesome tutorial! Looks I'm gonna be in the training room for two more hours🙃 I can't do combos so I've just been working on my neutral as of late.
As long as u get down on her neutral game and know basic bnb, u should be fine. But still go to training mode and continue practicing. U having trouble with her 214A loop combo?
@@timeless_act yes I can still only loop the b version and only three times, I'm also having alot of trouble with super canceling it in to maragion, the bot always escapes.

def helped me out been dealing with Rise's 8B which is crazy good , but i have to say juggling her 214A is difficult ,feels like a 1frame link .
The timing is very strict T_T. U have to do the notation of 214A as fast as possible after the last hit. What makes it even harder is the internet is a bit wacky right now. Roll back needs to hurry up lol.

Some characters, yes. Like against chie, elizabeth and kanji. Those three for example struggle against her. Characters who can put a equal fight like yukari, rise and naoto, is a even match up. But characters like Shabrys, Mitsuru, and worst of all, herself, is more complicated and challenging but it’s still doable. And no problem btw 😊. If u have any other questions please ask me.
can you explain the combo # and stuff? i got no clue what 55A or 236AB is. completely new to the game
Damn I should of add that in this video. Im sorry about that 😞. U play on the ps4 right? So A means square button, B means the X button, C means the triangle button, and D means the circle button. The 5,6,2,3 numbers is the direction u press on the pad. So 5 is in the middle of ur pad. So that means u don’t press any directions buttons. 4 is the back button, 6 is the forward button, 2 is the down button, 1 is the down back button and 3 is down forward.
I assume that you can do pretty much the majority of those normal Yukiko combos with the shadow variant right? Mainly asking cuz the shadow has a different auto combo

If you wanted to play Yukiko with a pad is it necessary to rebind buttons to be able to hold agi or should I just play her with a stick?
That is entirely up to u. Play what makes u feel comfortable. As for the next question, theres no need to rebind the buttons to perform her combos while holding agi. Trust me it’s not as difficult as it looks. I was thinking about making a video on how I do shadow Yukiko combos with my hand cam to show u how I do it. It’s a thought that I’m willing to go over with myself.
how hard would you say yukiko is to play on a basic/intermediate level? I dont think I can pull off the combos you're doing in the video in an actual match lol
Beyond intermediate level I can confirm lol. It's okay. That's why u have to practice every day. I was like u. I couldn't perform these combos as well but I just practice every day and there. I'm able to do it (sometimes I drop them though lol) The point i'm trying to make is that if I can do it, so can u. I have faith =)

It applies nothing from the the vanilla time (aka persona 4 arena ultimax). Yukiko from there is very different from ultimax. I'm sure u know the obvious like vanilla yukiko doesn't have phoniex flame swirl and flame dance and sb Agidyne + maragidyne. But also, her agi in vanilla was almost uselss. It was good for trapping ur opponent to throw out ur persona since her agi at that time tracks her opponent when u combo into it, but that was it's purpose. It wasn't a good zoning tool to throw out. Also her maragi speed was almost similar. The difference is one recover faster than the other. It was a good keep away tool but that is it. Ultimax she has one that is good to cover her or use to get closer to her opponent while the other one is a good keep away. Vanilla yukiko didn't have the one that helps cover her or get closer to her enemy. Leading towards her having to heavily rely on her fans and throwing her persona around. Also increasing her fire level and using fire break at that time was VERY risky cuz it chips her health. And since yukiko doesn't have a lot of health, you'll be putting urself at risk. At the time, yukiko mainly rely on her fans, her persona majority of the time than in ultimax.

Is this game hard to play ? I dont have time in my day to hard sweat combos etc lol.
Yes and no. Yes cuz some of these characters combos and play style isn’t hard. But there are characters like Yukiko, aigis and Elizabeth who are extremely hard to play. If u want someone easy to play I recommend yu or sho.
