I remember the art work and this trailer got me so excited for this game and now it just saddens me they fucked it up so bad. Hell i joined a clan ready for massive combined arms battles.

Dude. That sniper rifle -- M24 I think, did not have any recoil whatsoever. The soldiers are making nightvision breakins without taking damage, and Russia's is pitted against China.
These rendered "target shots" were what Codemasters wanted the game's graphics to approach, the real game doesn't look like it (see the latest gameplay trailers) but in any case this video shows some really nice CGI effects.

@bud389 It isn't really an argument, I mean both have ups and downs, like, if you "run 'n' gun" in ArmA 2, you won't get much done as your accuracy would be horrible, but in DR, it's as if you weren't moving at all.Just throwing that out there.
Once a year i play this game and finish it . I love it. This trailer hot me hyped like crazy when i first saw it. There was a video of the developer playong the game and explaining how to vall in artillery and it blew my mind.

Agreed. However the AK-74 can have such a distance, but almost zero accuracy that far. ArmA 2 is a bit different, but that effect still happens from time to time. Not seeing it much though.

You've got a typo. Either you mean Flashpoint 2 was bad or Flashpoint 1 was amazing.
@bud389 Still, there is a specific video that takes a look at different aspects of both ArmA 2 and DR, it does not take any sides and points out the flaws in both games.I would link it to you, if you like.
Well, the people who createt OPF dont make OPF2, they make ArmA 2 which will be the the true sequel to OPF, IMO.

BF has not that tactical depth, so it's not really comparable to OF2.

Than the tanks coming up the hill are US fighting the vehicles in the black/white picture.
The video is jumping because, its to show you, what is possible in the game.
Infantry, Special Forces, LAV`s, Helos.. everything is for use.

ArmA 2 is so much better. OFP 2 is leaning towards those l33t arcade-style FPS players, and away from tactics. It's so sad.

Also wenn man das spiel auf schwer stellt... der hammer! nicht einfach, aber realistisch. für game pussies nicht zu empfehlen, man stirbt zu schnell, aber für militär fans und taktiker ein gutes spiel.

this game has nothing to do with OFP Cold War Crysis. Only the name. The people who made OFP
released ArmA (armed assault) and on february 20 ArmA2 will be released. That is trully the sequence to old, good, OFP.
This game here will be a kind of CoD. Shame for the name OFP.
na mit der grafik haben die es im video aber übertrieben !!! ich hab alles drin was geht, und es sieht nicht so schick aus wie im vid !! besonders das gras, sieht im original nie so aus wie im vid. !!! aber ansonsten machts schon spass, man(n) muss schon denken, stupiudes durchrennen is da nicht ! also hoffe das der langzeit spass bleibt ! also ein fehlkauf ist es auf keinen fall !!!
