Even though my kids won’t eat much veg I liked the idea of letting them pick actually ! And iv started to let my kids in on the process of helping me prep their food obv safely but getting them involved helps too huh!? Xx
Today 32 year old me realized that french toast is supposed to be sweet I used to make it by adding salt and little bit of chili powder to the eggs and then used to dip bread in it😂 obviously it was tasty but i guess it wasnt a french toast 😂
I have a question my son and daughter are at the age where they are about to start preschool and I'm going through weird emotions, like I almost dread sending them out for someone else to watch them, and sending them out in the "real world". Did you go through any of these feelings with Sydney when you put her in school? I'm hoping when I find a preschool I'm comfortable with that these feelings will pass. But it's just ughhhh 😫❤
1000% 🥺 It was so hard for me! I chose where she goes with my peace of mind as a major deciding factor. It’s not easy letting them be in someone else’s care for the first time ❤️ With time it gets easier knowing they are happy & well taken care of 🙏
To avoid soggy French toast you shouldn't let it sit in eggs for too long. I hate it when it's soggy in the middle but toasted on sides. So when I make it I usually dip it real fast on each side in egg. Hope that helps!
Maybe it also depends on the bread too 🤔 when I make it with Texas toast that doesn't happen but when I make it with sandwich bread it usually always does happen.
French toast being soggy or not depends both upon the type of bread used and how long one soaks it. Many people soak it too long. And the French call it pain perdu meaning lost bread because they use day old bread for it and nothing that isn't some version of white. Tell Sydney lots of folks like French toast, so we're glad she did, too. LOL. Her hair is getting so pretty with its waves. And her snacks are so healthy plus giving her appropriate energy. When in doubt, throw in more veg. I'm with you on that. Until the beef culture took over our world, European cultures did not use the amount of beef alone that we have come to use. Thus, a frankfurter is a hotdog, but a hotdog is not a frankfurter because they are beef and pork mixed and often beef, pork and veal mixed. This is also true of burgers, when they are hamburgers they are mixed meats and a meatloaf without a mixture of three meats would be unconscionable to many. The all-beef all the time thing is something the marketers sold us on post WWII. So, the upshot is that you can make meatballs out of any meat or even mushrooms and like types of veg.
I’m so weird with texture but I’d love to try out different versions on things life a veggie patty or something of the sort! She certainly loved the french toast & it wasn’t too soggy 🙌😂
@@TresChicMama Veggie burgers or Impossible burgers, etc., are all quite different from one another, so don't get discouraged. Oh, tell me about texture. That's part of what kids learning to eat whole food is about when they get so busy mushing it around in their mouths that we wonder what they actually swallow. LOL. And I love eggs, almost all eggs cooked all ways, EXCEPT I DETEST UNCOOKED WHITES. Runny whites are a no-no.

Whisking a little flour into the egg mix prevents it being soggy! You can use whole wheat flour too
