It depends. If my hair isn't too tangled, or I have the time, I finger detangle. But if my hair is pretty tangled or I'm in a rush, I actually use a medium sized afro pick because it gives me a better grip and more control than a wide tooth comb

You made that look SUPER easy! I'm nervous about finger coils because I don't want my hair to get knotted (which it does so easily).

Section your hair very good and DO NOT do small coil. they need to be moderately big.

    - I detangle with a tangle-teezer. I love it!

Have you noticed any shrinkage from it? I noticed that with the denmin brush, I always get even MORE shrinkage after detangling with it.

-I never really paid attention to it. Also, I was curious about the Denman brush since I hear a lot of naturals rave about it. Would you recommend it ?

Its a great detangler. Causes much shrinkage though..

UA-cam won't let me like videos. I like this method of taking down fingercoils. I'm going to use it.

how long does your coils last. I tried once with ic gel but it looked old in 2 days even sleeping a satin scarf

hmmm. Ive never worn them for more than 1 week. But at the end of the week they still looked fine. If doing finger coils doesn't last very long for you I'd suggest trying comb coils. Id be interested in knowing your results...

Wow, my texture is more course and was going to do a Evoo oil prepoo and shea moisture kids detangle spray, sit under dryer before waahing my hair. I'm scared it would tangle if I don't detangle before washing my hair course hair type tightly coiled hair. U made thus look sooooo ez lol😆
