Who's this 'Jurgen' people keep talking about? I'm obviously refering to his less-famous nephew; 'Gergun' Windcaller.
TheEpicNate315 yeah, everybody knows good ole' Gergun :D
now, that was a man
I callz him "German Windfarter"
Oh, ok. Makes sense.
why is this man so relateable 😂
Theory: The skeletons of Skyrim are much weaker to those of Oblivion because of the Nords’ prejudice towards milk, therefore the people of Cyrodil are much more likely to have stronger bones.
I think that was confirmed true actually

I love this theory. XD
Oh that makes me laugh 😅

I have a theory: What if the reason that the falmer always have alchemy supplies around or on them is because they want to try and restore their eyesight...
You....you genius
The snow elf you meet in the dawnguard dlc says he's trying to cure "The betrayed" so maybe this is his and possibly other hidden snow elves that we don't know about's doing.
@@aboredguywithaninternetcon4663Maybe!
God, the Falmer's story is so heart breaking to me. I feel so much sympathy towards me. My Bosmer character hates killing them, because she wishes she could help rehabilitate them.
@@pandakatiefominz Same here, though I feel a bit less guilty because they killed my horse

Maybe Lord Harkon just bought some merch from the newly opened Mythic Dawn Museum!
Sunset Rider 😂
Sunset Rider honestly though I think Bethesda didn't make a flag/banner for the volkihar vampires so they instead used the "edgiest" looking, which is easily the mythic dawn
Harkon May have power from Molag Bal but that doesn’t mean he has his favor just that he once did, so I think it’s quite possible he was with the mythic dawn as he would see the instability of a new mythic age as an opertunity to gain more power than he ever could otherwise,
that or in that particular case Molag Bal could have wanted him to help the mythic dawn cuz a new mythic age opens Tamriel up to all of Oblvion not just Dagons realm, and Molag ball is being the lord of domination, obsessed with the goal of taking over Tamriel, why he only tried once (the plane meld) is really confusing honestly and we can only assume he must have often had more descrete ways of attempting to take it over or maybe he’s aware that if he takes it all he’ll no longer have new things to dominate so he lets it be overall free so he can continue to get an endless supply of new mortal souls to torture, even if that’s the case the temptation of a new mythic age would likely be to good for him to resist so it’s possible he instructed Harkon to help the mythic dawn.
That or if he and or Harkon was against the mythic dawn it could as he said in the video just be a trophy, perhaps he had a lot of fun killing mythic dawn members and likes to look back on it and fondly remeber, maybe he even got away with being disguised as some sort of heroic stranger who wants to help fight the Oblvion crisis and enjoyed being praised by the public for killing tons of people for once before mysteriously disappearing ie going back to his vampire life,
Either way I hope it was more than bethesda going “yeah seems good and edgy let’s do that”
Another fact about Alvor's behaviors; if you are a female character and walk up to his wife, occasionally you'll get the line "You're pretty enough, I suppose. Just stay away from my husband, Alvor." This goes to show just how much she distrusts him.
I've always wished that Rune was fleshed out a bit more as a character after hearing his backstory. I really like that theory!
i wanted a quest so bad. i even tried investigating it myself to see if was one of those weird ones that dont get added to your journal
there were a few people I thought that about
Imagine, if it turns out that Rune is in fact the Grey Foxs' son (or descendant). And the name actually refers to the markings on the cowl that someone found him with, and forgot about.
But the thing is you guys do know about the statute of the gray fox also found in the thieves guild. So partially erased from history might not or might have to do something with rune.
netcyber Descendant because skyrim is way after the last games
One thing I've as a Norwegian always found slightly amusing about Rune is that when you talk to him, you tell him that he has a very unusual name, whereas in the real world Rune is actually a very common name in the Nordic countries. It's kind of like approaching a fantasy character named Richard and telling him he has a very unique name.
The giants cohabitation with Dwemer theory could also explain the Dwarven Centurions. As in, the giants’ size and strength inspired the contraptions.
Effeffia Gonalick Not to mention some of those artifacts are powered by grand souls which they could have then easily obtained from mammoths 🐘 🤔
Don't giants also give grand souls
And the steam is based off of the burps they have from eating too much Mammoth Cheese.
the steam (and fire form the forge master) could be expanded by that dragon in black reach too
@@pyrovonfire7966 I'm pretty sure giants give Greater Souls

Have you ever taken a good look at Dragons in Skyrim? Have you taken note of their colours? If you have, you'll have noticed a pattern: the more powerful the dragon, the more colourful they are. If that is the case, then isn't it strange that Alduin, the greatest of all dragons, the firstborn of Akatosh, the World Eater and all that, is black as night? If more powerful dragons are more colourful, then Alduin should be brilliantly iridescent. So why isn't he?
I have a theory, but first, we need to talk about mantles. In the Elder Scrolls Verse, there exists a concept known as "Mantling". Mantling is the process by which one being impersonates another being to the point where the universe itself stops distinguishing between the two, making them, for all intents and purposes, one and the same. Vivec, Almalexia and Sotha Sil attempted to Mantle the Daedric Princes Mephala, Boethiah and Azura respectively, and Tiber Septim ascended to godhood and became Talos through his successful Mantling of Lorkhan.
If one can become a god by embodying that god's domain, then the opposite might also be true; a god acting outside of their domain might lose their divine power.
Alduin is at least a demigod, if not a facet of an actual god, and he too has a domain; it is his job to eat the world at the end of time, and return the power stored within it to the Aedra, so that creation might begin anew. But Alduin wasn't satisfied with that. Instead of destroying the world, he attempted to rule it, thus acting outside of his domain.
My theory is that Alduin lost a lot of his divine power as a result of acting outside of his domain, and this left him, quite literally, as but a shadow of his former self. That is why he is black. It also explains why he could be beaten so easily by a mortal (most unironically anticlimactic boss fight I ever fought).
There is a dark side to this theory: if Alduin could only be beaten because he was acting outside of his domain, and thus did not have access to his full divine power, then perhaps the opposite is also true. Alduin might indeed be allowed to return at the end of time to fulfill his task as the World Eater, and when that time comes, we will not see a dragon with scales blacker than the blackest night. No, we will see a brilliantly coloured beast, with shining, iridescent scales too blinding to look at. This will be Alduin at his full divine power, acting within his domain, acting out his true purpose. And with his full power at his disposal, nothing will be able to stop him.
This also makes sense when you consider that Alduin's father, Akatosh (or, at least, Auriel), is associated with sunlight.
Or maybe designers thought black was cooler (although I prefer your theory xD)
I really, really like this theory. I also now wish to see an iridescent Alduin. That would be so neat c:
Halil Mert Iridescent. Not rainbow. His scales would be bright and probably golden and silver. Colors of power and authority. He’d also probably be much bigger and not as monstrous looking. Ya know. Less spikes and horns and more fin like appendages. Although. His eyes would probably be as black as the void. Anyway. He’d be much stronger in any case and maybe this dragon born is akatosh’s way of finding a new son. A new dragon to take a new mantle after a new world is created and the dragon born is Skyrim has obtained shouts that no other dragon uses.
Alduin levels with you starting from level 10. It depends how weak you are to make him weaker.
"that dude named Martin" you should give him the respect he deserves
Yes
should call him Patrick Stewart son.

I wish Rune and Saphire had at least a small quest to them ...
It's these little opportunities Bethesda missed out on that make Skyrim feel just a bit lifeless sometimes
true! despite all the re-releases that game has had, Bethesda has completely abandonded it. they spend years making it pretty and maybe tweaking the engine a bit but why did they not integrate some cut content and maybe add a few quests, make people actually wanna replay the game yet again?
you can give the letter from glover mallory to sapphire after getting it, its not a quest, but you get a unique gem that sells for 5000 gold, so i think its worth it
@@Cool_Lad_Stephen it is not you keep it and treasure it because no one sells up to 5000
Sapphire has a very tiny mission where, if you have the dragonborn dlc, you can take a letter from glover malory to sapphire.

actually the sse version of skyrim adds many subtle things that were not in oldrim. one i can think off the top of my head is one nate did a video on. you remember that nightgate inn fultihm guy? if you wear full thalmor armor if front of him. on oldrim he does nothing. but in sse he attacks you. that alone is added content tho subtle. but i have seen so many others since nate brought up his channel using the sse version of skyrim. and since at the time of him reporting all of these things. i was playing oldrim on my pc. and i have not found many things that he has discoved within the sse version. just simply did not exist within the oldrim version.
but i agree with you, it would have been really cool if bethesda added a little mission for rune and sapphire.
I've always assumed that Skyrim's thieves guild is a different organization than the Cyrodil's thieves guild, hence they're not connected to Gray Fox whatsoever.
Frey has a bust of the Grey Fox under his house in Riften
Sounds like he got...BUSTED
I think I'm gonna BUST
Akillezzz your image
DOI
Well... Frey always wanted to get a head in life.
well with nocturnal's curse you have to consider that 1. she can always reapply it in the 200 years since oblivion, 2. it may of only been lifted for those two specifically, 3. there is the possiblity that ONLY the sheogorath change is canon so while we know for certain, due to the events of a main story being canon, that the player from oblivion is now sheogorath we DONT know for certain that the cowl was ever truely freed of its curse.
could also mean rune's parent IS the player from oblivion...i mean they are immortal now
Pulse Fel Well the usual rule that Bethesda goes by concerning continuity is that the protagonist of each game completes all guild lines. It would be pretty weird for it not to be canon that the Hero of Kvatch completed every quest but the thieves guild
Also Sheogorath aka the Hero of Kvatch mentions the Grey Fox when you meet him in Skyrim, so it's safe to assume that he did do the thieves guild quests.
Does the un-cursed cowl only erase one's identity while they wear it? I havent looked it up/forget but I KNOW it still works when the Player wears it & any bounty incurred while wearing it doesn't apply to the Player once they take it off (tho IIRC the bounty amount as the Gray Fox stays at w/e # the Player got it up to AS him).
I can't remember if the curse was merely permanent rather than just temporary (I guess the guy you help isnt wearing it so assume the curse extended the effect to permanence)
Another possibility is he may have only had one parent left & they died wearing it...if one died as the Fox, would that effect their living memory at all? Tho, there was only 1 Cowl & that wouldn't answer why the other parent is forgotten (unless Rune's mother died during birth, so he never knew her)...I have no idea if that would work with canon/lore though - just a thought~
that is actually a good point, the cowl doesnt show up in skyrim so its possible theres a skeleton out there somewhere with it on!
Pulse Fel
It's a possibility at least...like even if the restored cowl only erases you as you wear it, I wonder if one dying with it on (coming to their end as an unknown entity) would effect how they were remembered in life or even entry to, say, Sovnegard.
At the very least the person wearing it, nobody would know what happened to them as even the Gods wouldn't know THEY had met their end or how...ditto for assessing if they are worthy for entry to the Halls in afterlife.
If the mother had died, Rune wouldn't know her & back in that day (despite game mechanics w ownership) property etc would be in the Father's name...the "???" would easily fit in such a scenario.
Not saying this is so or even based off any existing sources, but it would make sense~
Pulse Fel
Actually thinking a bit farther, IF Rune's dad died as the Gray Fox (wearing the cowl), it is completely feasible that nobody would even know the man NOR that his son had survived & was now lost/seeking him out. If you didn't know the guy was dead, a detective (for lack of better term) wouldn't consider him as a likely candidate for reunification/association with "Rune", afterall~
(since nobody knew the kid's name & in this case nobody who knew his father could possibly know he was dead, it is most unlikely randomA&randomB would ever be connected...most would think the 2 were still together, whether alive or dead/missing)
The pelt in Harkons room is specifically a werewolf pelt not a normal wolf pelt, if you look at the item it is named werewolf pelt.
there's a castlevania easter egg in the display case next to it too.
the room is clearly harkon's trophy room, why wouldn't he display the banner of a group of opposed daedra worshipers who he help wreck?
I like to think the Hero of Kvatch simply kept the cowl forever, since they went on to become Sheogorath, that would mean it's somewhere in the Shivering Isles.
Wearing the Cowl in the Shivering Isles is nothing but a benefit ingame by the way since none of the guards attack you there for wearing it, plus I don't think the cowl's curse would be relevant to someone taking the mantle of Sheogorath
i imagine the hero of kvatch gave it to their spouse during the process of mantling uncle sheo, thus erasing both of rune's parents from history.
So... then following that logic... Rune's father is Sheogorath?
"I'M SO HAPPY, I COULD JUST TEAR OUT YOUR INTESTINES AND STRANGLE YOU WITH THEM!" -Sheogorath at every family reunion.
Welp, there goes my theory on the giants. I was betting they used to be dwarves. They have the pointed ears of a mer and the beards that dwarves stereotypically have. As for their height and lack of intelligence. I was putting that up to a curse. Dwemer were known for overstepping their boundaries and trying to attain the knowledge of the gods. I figured a god got annoyed and cursed them. Made them too big to fit back into their old homes and too stupid to do anything about it.
"And for your treachery against the heavens, I curse with you inconveniently large bodies! Take that you stupid dwarves who aren't actually dwarves now! HAHAHAHAHA"
The Dwemer, per the lore, weren't cursed exactly. They just kinda all fuckin disappeared at once.
Excepting one or two who didn't and don't actually know why the rest of them did.
That's actually pretty plausible but It would be better if there was proof to back it up. Overall 8/10 theory
I was really disappointed, actually, that we never helped Rune figure out who he was. That would have been something nice to do for him. Maybe after you become leader of the Guild, you gain more "connections" and a side quest becomes available that allows you to help Rune discover his past.
This is the downside to Tes games, imo; they have the habit of leaving questlines feeling unfinished. Guild quests are a case in point; you work your ass off becoming leader of the guild and all you get is more of the radiant quests. I'm the most powerful thief/companion/mage in Skyrim and you still need me to steal a statue from an empty house?
Also why do you not get access to Mercer's room when you become leader of the Thieves guild?

All the the Aedra were once daedra before giving up some of there divine power to create mundas and sovengaurd, therefore wouldn't it be safe to assume that they too would use the same or similar runic symbols in their language as the daedra. Perhaps it was written by Kinareth on his tomb since she was the one who first gave mortal men the power of the voice.
I have a theory: What if the Dragonborn was the last person to have worn the Gray Cowel ? because at the beginning of the game, I'm pretty sure we have no idea who we are, and all throughout the game ( before we know we are Dragonborn ) Nobody else knows who we are either. I don't know, it's just a theory I came up with
your character is aware who he/she is because you can talk about your past or parents with give you plenty of options to choose, it's pretty rare but it happens.

also, if you play as a female character his wife will say to you "yeah, your pretty, but stay away from my husband"
What if jergen was slain in battle by a daedra and earned it's respect, so in return it honored him afterwards by making the inscription?

Nick Winderweedle george windcaller
Are you sure it works that ways. It was probably written before they made the dragon language.
Dunno, remember that the Daedra and... almost any being of Daedric nature holds absolutely no respect at all towards any living creature at all? I doubt the word was written there for that reason xD
Komyets I forget which book, but I read in the Skyrim lore about a daedra that fought against a mortal and came to respect said mortal.
I always thought Rune was a reference to Lonestar from Spaceballs or at least the reference to what spaceballs was referencing. Reason being Lonestar was a orphan without any knowledge of his parents except a mysterious necklace who grew up and become a smuggler. His necklace is also covered in some alien language.
Sheogorath: "...Well except for that Martyn fellow. But he turned into a dragon-god, and that's hardly sporting."
imagine something causing an entire theory, like the flag, and someone from Bethesda hearing about it and being like oh shit thaaats what I was supposed to remove
I've played skyrim for at least 700 hours and there is still a lot i have never done or found and that just proves how much effort Bethesda put into this game, only wished morrowing and oblivion fanboys could take off their nostalgia goggles and enjoy this game as much as we do.
And the games will only get better

(Lols/jk)~
I like morrowind's story but the gameplay and many mechanics it has are infuriating to deal with and oblivion has some of the best quests in all of the elder scrolls but graphicaly speaking even morrowind looks better than oblivion at some places.
Not all morrowind and oblivion “fanboys” not enjoy Skyrim. I’ve mentioned this before but all those games are good. I don’t know which one I like better between oblivion and Skyrim tbh. The quests in oblivion felt so much more fulfilling but it lacked the combat and graphics that Skyrim contains. That makes the world a greater place in Skyrim. Yet I enjoyed both of these games. I’m not saying all Skyrim quests are lacking some of them are absolutely brilliant but I felt like oblivion had more character put into it. It sometimes felt a bit rushed of course but the ones that were thought through were amazing. Especially the voice acting.
I consider Skyrim the superior game over all, but I definitely feel like there were a lot of aspects that Oblivion did better. Spells, (including spell crafting), story, character design, and for me at least, the leveling system, (at least for things like acrobatics and such), were all better done in Oblivion just to name a few. As a result, I definitely can't blame people for enjoying the previous entries more. Again, I ultimately consider Skyrim the better game, particularly in regards to combat and exploration, two of the main components to the series, but that doesn't mean there's not a valid reason for people to enjoy the past entries just as much......
"The curse was lifted". Not if that quest was noncanon... You can't expect the Hero of Kvatch and Bruma was involved in every faction
Ace Hunter Blake Said this to someone else, but yes, all guild quests are canon, it’s just not explicitly stated YOU did it. SOMEONE became guild master through a huge heist.
I always wondered why there wasn't a follow up to Rune. The Greyfox theory makes a lot of sense all of them did lol nice vid 👍
I've seen a video suggesting Lydia was brainwashed. I've also figured out you need the Hearthfire dlc to marry her. Maybe she is the whiterun jarl's other wife who has the derranged son in dragonsreach.
Murdered to death is now my favorite phrase
We know that Ysgramor Companions ended up making a pact with Hircine, so it is conceivable that Jurgen had also made a deal with a devil.
#1: perhaps Jurgen Windcaller worshiped one of the non-evil Daedric Princes, like Merida or Azura?
Shooterguy15 Meridia. Merida was a Scottish princess, not a Daedra. Lol. Sorry, I'm a spelling freak.
Malacath is not a evil prince
Fam who gave birth to dragons. A aedra. Deadra and aedra are basically the same thing just one of em is nice. If you think about it dragons are made by a deadra/aedra. Meaning they are deadric creatures.
Bleach Prolar that's believable considering alduin always reminded me of daedric armour
Meridia,a good Deadric prince?I know that she hate draugrs, guosts, vampires, and Necromancer(So Mannimarco and Molag bal) but she also helped Umaril, the antagonist of Knith of the Nine dlc
The Giants & Dwemer, the Gray Fox, and the Daedric runes on Jorgen's coffin are the most surprising stuff to me
On the gray cowl, keep in mind that the hero of kvatch doesn't necessarily have to participate in the thieves guild quest. This would allow for the possibility of the cowl to maintain its curse.

So, with Rune's parents, it -may- have been possible that Nocturnal recursed her cowl. Seeing as Nocturnal is an almighty Daedric Prince, I, personally, wouldn't find it surprising that she reinstated the curse after the events in ES4: Oblivion, possibly seeking out revenge?

Sean Sheist
Well there is the one Arch-Curate...but he is technically a vampiric Snow Elf (1st iteration) & not one of the Falmer they devolved into (2nd iteration).
Sea Elves would be cool to come across, too...but yeah, I agree with you on that is a shame they are just around to be killed off - I mean, you can chill w the Rieklings afterall, right, why not a couple Falmer (guess they think you're a Dwemer...TOLD you those Dwarven boots/armor were a bad idea *clank*clank*)~
It is noted in the game that the Falmer are beginning to slowly regain their intelligence.
Kainlarsen
That's because they rebelled against the Dwemer & are no longer being fed the toxic fungus since the Dwemer disappeared...but I was talking about when the Giants became Dwemer refugees, not the Falmer.
The Giants used to have armies, complete with uniforms & when THEY were ran into the mountains/took Dwemer refuge, they were noticeably less intelligent & very much in a diminished capacity when they re-appeared above. The Giants acted as guards for the Dwemer & some theorize the Dwemer used their souls to power Centurion's/dynamo core's, causing this.
*EDIT*
(shit, my bad...I thought this was a different comment, lmfao >_
There are powerful falmer mages. I assume they have intelligence already.
Steve Kirkham I meant like able to speak intelligent. hell they had a speaking reikling
The amount of speculations that I have seen from your videos are amazingly interesting.
The only real problem I have with the Grey Fox theory, is that the cowl only afflicted one person at a time. It always seemed to me, that Rune's backstory was supposed to be a riff on Lonestar from Spaceballs.
Ok, assuming this man actually plays the game, presumably with sound, how does he still manage to mispronounce these words and names that are said multiple times in dialogue?

Sheogorath duh
when the grey fox finally got the cowl uncursed he said "great to be alive again".

Observation: Morvunskar has a room that contains a shrine to Dibella and two leather strips. Also, Sanguine, the Daedric Prince of debauchery can be reached on a quest by travelling to Morvunskar. I have a theory that those folks are having a pretty good time.
Doesn't that mean that Sheogorath is the Gray Fox...?
Actually you never do anything in any of these guilds, all you do is the main questline + DLCs in all TES games. So that, the hero of Kwatch was never to become the Gray Fox, nor even join the thieves guild. That's the first thing you need to know about the in-game lore.
The Dovahkiin is the only person who have done all the questline, because he is the LAST DRAGONBORN and if you say:So it can be his son or his brother, but no because a dragonborn is a mortal who had a dragon's soul, and the only dragonborns who existed are Mirrak,Reman Cyrrodyl,Tiber Septim AKA Talos,Wulfrath and dovahkiin and they all have dragon's soul, but they are not related and they desendents will not be dragonborn but they will have dragon blood,so the dovahkiin is the best, and if CoDA was writed after Skyrim the ending will be:the last dragoborn used a shout for controlling the Numidium and save evryone, and after by the help of Odahviing,Durneeviin, and Nords and imperial soldier and the Numidium he destroy the Thalmors, rebuilt Morrowind, making a new empire, and becoming the hero, the emperor and defender of Tamriel
I dunno if other people know about this but I just noticed on my like 10th play through. When you kill your first dragon and head back to whiterun. Upon hearing the grey beards calling Npcs around you may look to the skys

With the grey cowl one I assumed that the Hero of Kvatch gave it back to Nocturnal after assuming the title of Sheogorath. What would the daedric prince of madness need the cowl for?
why would the prince of madness give nocturnal her cowl back instead of perverting it to madness?
deanna smith
Because he’s unpredictable to the point of giving the Dragonborn the Wabbajack for no apparent reason.
Considering the fact that the Cowl can hide the wearer from any force less omniscient than an Elder Scroll, including Nocturnal herself, maybe by wearing the Cowl the CoC can 'hide' from themselves as Sheogorath?
@@UltimaXReborn I mean they can already change what they look like, whenever they want to, even making themselves look like A Bearded Lady with a Penis, or a Muscular Hairy Man with a Vagina.
Giants living with Dwarves? 🤔 I guess now we know where they got all those grand soul gems from, to power up their machines 🤔 mammoths 🐘
I swat most youtubers but you sir are the only one that i have notifications for LOL
The number 1 theory is completely destroyed by the fact that you FIND Rune's origin in a shipwreck in the north.
There is no OFFICIAL connection to Rune ever found, in game. There is a THEORIZED connection to a shipwreck found near Solitude.
You're probably thinking of Brand-Shei, the dark elf merchant that you frame during the introductory Thieves Guild quest. He gives you a quest to find clues to his past, which is located on a shipwreck northeast of Winterhold.
You should make a compilation about every time you mispronounced something in a video.
Whatever Bethesda announce at this e3 this series can never die please. Love this series keep it up.
Nate, go to labarynthium, lost valskaag, there is a Draugr queen there named Iorel (interesting NPC) her account of the ysgramor saga really shadows him as a less than honorable character, it is a great addition and as there is no quest to find her it was totally accidental, great story tho :)
We want more Skyrim videos.
"Dude named Martin" lol doesn't sound as epic as Martin Septim, avatar of Akatosh.
During the quest in Oblivion, the curse was not lifted from the cowl but the Gray Fox himself. When you receive the item, after putting it on, NPCs would automatically start hating you. You would no longer be recognised as the hero of Kvatch, nor any of your other achievements are mentioned afterwards. Ppl started viewing you just as the Gray Fox, as the cowl is just treated as one of his features. But, as I mentioned previously, Corvus Umbranox has lifted the curse from himself, not the item. So the theory wirh Rune's parents is highly possible. Too bad it didn't make it as an actual quest in Skyrim.
Dude ur vids r pretty great. I've been playing skyrim vr, it's the first time I played skyrim so it's pretty nuts.
*_VOLIKHAR_*
THIS ANNOYED ME SO MUCH!
Well.. the Thieves Guild Quest in Elderscrolls 4 is Optional.. May the Cowl's curse wasnt lifted in the Canon of Elderscrolls Lore?
hmm i dunno there's a book in game that suggests the events of thieves guild did happen sort of.
all main faction quests are canonical, they just may or may not have been completed by the player character.
if they didn't do them... someone else canonically does them, with the attribution remaining vague in later games.
I mean, it's entirely plausible Nocturnal placed the curse back on the cowl after the events of Oblivion. I mean think about it, after the Hero of Kvatch obtains the cowl, they will have eventually done something with it, they aren't immortal. It's not too unrealistic to believe that it found it's way back to Nocturnal, who cursed it again
WHOA. The Giants theory and the Rune theory blew my mind into pieces
as a German speaker all the mispronunciation of J's hurts my ears lol
heyo mister mayo
Nate, you had me at the giant’s space club.
I love your Videos. Please keep doing what you're doing. I love ya
HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE "MEHRUNES DAGON" CORRECTLY, BUT NOT JURGEN. YUHR-GEN. YUUUHHHR-GEN. The ease with which you mispronounce nearly everything is nothing short of miraculous.
Time to skip class just to watch this.
Z is for Zorua

Xx_Dope_Master_Legend_27_DabMaster_xX you never skipped class?
Z is for Zorua for future reference, put earphones in through your sleeve and "rest your head on your hand" so you can listen to the video and not get in shit 😂
An important thing to keep in mind for #1 is that Dunmeri script shares letters with the Deadric alphabet. Also, being a "good" person does not affect where your soul goes once you pass away: Everyone goes to Aetherius unless you have traded your soul or otherwise lost it due to a deadric prince's influence. I would think any deal he made with any prince would land his soul in his respective realm.
So the script on his tomb is simply using deadric/dunmeri letters. If anything I would say it “just” hints who buried him. Considering the history between Dunber and Nords (Particularly those that used the voice) they may have added his title as a sign of respect
"Regerdless."

Hoot hoot!
Just a little bit late
Y’all are arguing about pronunciation and nobody is calling out the fact that the mythic dawn was mainly an altmer organization and not a human one....? Dafuq wrong with y’all he got actual lore wrong and y’all are calling out poor pronunciation?!
Jonathan Cambron you my friend are Dovahkiin that is what I have been ranting about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
people are not dwelling on it because it's not likely that harkon was a member of the mythic dawn and instead took the banner as a trophy... to display in his trophy room... alongside the "pieces of dracula" easter egg, werewolf hide and other relics and easter eggs scattered around the same room.
Nate here's a little helpful tip that can be in your next video(s): If you return the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller after you get it from Delphine, instead of going to Arnegier, go back to Utensgrav and activate the pedestal it was taken from, you get a free dragon soul!
About why there are no female giants in Skyrim... of course, on a meta level, the reason is that Bethesda didn't want to spend time and money on a second model for giants. In-universe, I've read of one theory online that is almost certainly false and arguably carries unfortunate implications, but that really got a chuckle out of me. It goes like this: There are female giants in Skyrim. We see them all the time in giant encampments, and their males are actually fiercely protective of them. Giants just happen to be an extremely dimorphic species - meaning that their females look _vastly_ different from the males. Their females walk on all fours, have four long tusks and noses that look like elephant trunks, and fur growing all over their bodies.
I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW YOU MISPRONOUNCE THESE NAMES!!!! THEY SAY THEM IN THE GAME!!! HAVE YOU NEVER PLAYED IT?!? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Common Dagger it’s not that serious.
For one, its german pronunciation, so logically a native english speaker doesnt process it in the way a german person would. Secondly, names arent really keywords in Skyrims quests, especially considering the Greybeards have way too much dialogue to listen to over long spans of time.
All I'm saying is that its so obvious he looks up this stuff on the internet (I'm not saying hes never played the game, he might remember the name slightly) and he just reads it off of a script without bothering to maybe play the game to see it firsthand. German pronunciation or not, it seems hard to believe someone who's channel is devoted to Skyrim would say stuff like Jurgen with a hard J, or Harkon with a long O, or Volkihar like Volikar.
What I find kind of funny is how LOADS of people complain about his pronunciation. But does it REALLY matter? I mean, there are some people who aren't that capable of saying (or even remembering!) the right pronunciation of some words, no matter how many times they hear them (I, for one, can never remember the correct pronunciation of the word 'recipe' in English, even though I've heard it a thousand times). Also, the appreciation should be for the content: who cares if he says Jurgen instead of Yurgen? Even if the channel is devoted to Skyrim, it doesn't mean that one has to spend ages remembering the correct pronunciation of each German-sounding word in the game! Enjoy the content a bit more, maybe? And be less prescriptive with the pronunciation? :)
It's just the fact that he sometimes says stuff like "I'm gunna butcher this name" or "or how ever you say it" but how hard is it actually to just hear the name said in the game, which he obviously has access to because he has in-game footage throughout his videos, the pronunciation is right there! There is no reason he should say this stuff wrong because even if he has a shadow of a doubt he can at least look up videos on the topic if he doesn't actually want to play the game
Woah... I’m early ... and I have nothing to say
Miss Squidly Murdered to deaths.
Nice theories!
Love these videos. The Mythic Dawn flag found int the vampire castle is hanging above a bloodied torture rack. I think the vampires were fighting against Mehrunes Dagon and the Mythic Dawn or it could be a secret sacrificial tribute to Mehrunes Dagon. Who knows. I don't think it was oversight on the part of Bethesda.
Count Janus Hassildor, vampire Count of Skingrad mentioned that Mehrunes Dagon had no love for vampires as they made poor slaves. Wouldn't surprise me if other vampires had no love for Dagon's followers.
@@mikeynth7919 Ahh. I didn't know about that line.
