I had no idea of his decision to prevent any ethical impropriety by changing his occupation during his wife's prestigious role as Vice President of the United States. The naive reason this is happening is that we really thought only the best of the best could attain these positions and there would be no need to worry about the standards, values, and ethics of those in these positions. Not naive anymore.
Judges are appointed based mainly on the religious beliefs (e.g., pro and against abortion), not on the basis of who is best. Two other countries that do the same are Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.

The only crisis of the Supreme Court at this time is actually a crisis of Congress. There aren't ethics rules, in writing, because they serve at the full discretion of Congress. If they fail to perform in any of their duties it is Constitutionally required that Congress remove the justice. It is up to Roberts to oversee their actions but not to sanction any "bad behaviour", only Congress can do that. And Congress has never been more inactive than they are today.
As a retired DOD employee, I can testify that we had high ethical standards. The standard is to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. I wouldn't accept even a cup of coffee or donut, because it could look bad. It seems that one standard applies to those on the lowest levels, but not on the highest levels.

If the Chief Justice is subpoenaed before Congress, he must abide by a federal court ruling on his motion to quash the subpoena. The Supreme Court cannot take it up because every Justice would have to recuse. If any Justice of the Supreme Court refuses to recuse themselves, they will inflict the ultimate shame and revelation that they are emperors unclothed by morals or ethics.
The Supreme Court used to have public supreme trust. That trust was based on ethical expectations of those honored. But the honor has left the building and the shame is stinking the justices.

Most judges collect 3 different state pensions for presiding court in multiple towns even though each town usually has a judge. State tax funded pensions. Tax funded pensions should be limited to ONE.

When the State fails the people, individuals will reclaim their sovereignty and reshape their community as they see fit. It will not be pleasant. The only crisis of the Supreme Court at this time is actually a crisis of Congress. There aren't ethics rules, in writing, because they serve at the full discretion of Congress. If they fail to perform in any of their duties it is Constitutionally required that Congress remove the justice. It is up to Roberts to oversee their actions but not to sanction any "bad behaviour", only Congress can do that. And Congress has never been more inactive than they are today.

As a retired DOD employee, I can testify that we had high ethical standards. The standard is to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. I wouldn't accept even a cup of coffee or donut, because it could look bad. It seems that one standard applies to those on the lowest levels, but not on the highest levels.

The court has lost the respect, deference, and admiration of the American public. They will not gain it back in your lifetime. This is how much irreparable damage that Thomas has done. If his peers do not step up soon; the entire justice system will suffer the same general perception. To save their institution, other justices at all levels of the judiciary must step forward and restore public confidence in their institution. Otherwise, they will be collectively perceived similarly to Thomas.
Democrat Hunter Biden appeared in an Arkansas court Monday in his bid to get his child support payments lowered, and it didn’t go well for him. The judge lambasted Joe’s son and his legal team for being slippery in providing his financial information and income.
Democrat Biden was ordered by the judge last week to appear in person for today’s hearing and all future ones after she had accused him of delaying the litigation. On Monday she chastised his democrat team for redacting too much info. Judge Holly Meyer rebuked the 53-year-old’s legal team during the two-hour proceedings, saying they wrongly concealed details of filings that had already been submitted to the court as part of the ongoing legal saga.
“The ability to redact is somewhat being abused,” the judge told democrat Hunter’s attorneys before ordering them to refile some of those papers. It wasn’t immediately clear exactly what financial information was included in the filings.
Democrat Hunter appeared in a Batesville court as he seeks to reduce his monthly payments for the cute 4-year-old daughter he fathered with gorgeous Lunden Roberts. The attorney for Lunden Roberts-Hunter’s ex-girlfriend and the mother to their precious child-filed a 12-page discovery motion last week accusing the first son of putting on an act:
Democrat Biden claims to be nothing more than a Yale educated attorney/artist who is somewhat financially destitute and needs his child support adjusted. However, for an artist living on meager means, Mr. Biden is living lavishly. He travels the world on the safest and most comfortable airplane in existence - Air Force One, for free.
Now the judge wants to know what Hunter’s art is actually worth, but was frustrated by the Biden team’s lack of transparency:
Meyer on Monday ordered Hunter to answer additional written questions about his money - including investments, his art sales and other financial transactions - after Roberts’ attorney Clinton Lancaster claimed he had so far provided “incomplete answers.”
But Hunter’s attorneys hit back, saying the genius first son didn’t know the identities of the buyers as part of a purported arrangement to ensure they were unable to “influence” his father’s administration.
Hunter and Roberts will be required to sit for a deposition in mid-June to answer questions under oath, the judge ordered.
The battle between the two began in 2019 when Roberts claimed she was pregnant with Hunter’s child. Being Hunter Biden, he denied it, but a paternity test proved him wrong, and now he’s on the hook for what his lawyers say are child support payments totaling $720,000 a year unless he can convince the judge to lower them.
Democrat Hunter has never met his cute youngest daughter, 4-year-old Navy Joan Roberts, and last week president Joe Biden refused to even acknowledge her existence by claiming that he only has six grandchildren, when in reality he has seven !@!@!

The trouble is, it's impossible to do anything about corruption amongst the richest and most powerful people. As time goes on, this is becoming more and more apparent. Subpoena chief Justice Roberts before the committee and force his hand to choose between attending or having a supreme court justice squash the subpoena or if the first justice honors the subpoena having the full court quash the subpoena in the broad light of day.
Let it be done in broad sunlight that the supreme court defied Congress by quashing the subpoena of its own member. It's own chief justice.

If the Chief Justice is subpoenaed before Congress, he must abide by a federal court ruling on his motion to quash the subpoena. The Supreme Court cannot take it up because every Justice would have to recuse.
If any Justice of the Supreme Court refuses to recuse themselves, they will inflict the ultimate shame and revelation that they are emperors unclothed by morals or ethics.
The Supreme Court used to have public supreme trust. That trust was based on ethical expectations of those honored. But the honor has left the building and the shame is stinking the justices.
Kamala Harris & Doug Emhoff are a couple to totally look up to. He's an amazing example of how a man/husband should act, strength, etc. They both deserve so much more credit than they have & will receive.

Most judges collect 3 different state pensions for presiding court in multiple towns even though each town usually has a judge. State tax funded pensions. Tax funded pensions should be limited to ONE.

I think every time we get a chance to speak out, to post comments on UA-cam, to make UA-cam videos, to support those Congress members who are trying to do the right thing, just a public outcry can do a lot of good. Whenever I see a brave Congress member, usually Democrat, speak out, like Senator White House, I try to send them an email to support them.

I saw how Chief Justice Roberts behaved during the impeachment process. He did not call out the Republican gong show when it happened. That is all I needed to know and pegged him as an extremist. Our founding fathers believed that those who chose public service would be moral and ethical. I think it’s time for a couple of Constitutional amendments that address the lack of ethical review of our highest officials. For the Supreme Court, I would suggest that an elected ‘senate’ of lower court judges to act as a means of ethical review.
When there is no one to carry out justice for the citizens, they will eventually carry out justice themselves.
Sovereignty comes from the people, and the exercise of it is given to the State. No King rules against the will of the people; they can only rule with the consent of the people.
When the State fails the people, individuals will reclaim their sovereignty and reshape their community as they see fit. It will not be pleasant. The rich will die and the poor will take what they want.
