That would be interesting to see, even though clay season starts Novak proved He's good on that surface. Nadal clearly unafraid because of Novak's absence and fresh started great this season. With Novak back in game and Nadals loss in Indian Wells from Fritz proved that he is worn out fast. We'll see if Nadal can continue to be almost unbeatable on the long run.

That Nadal was still recovering from the horrible 2015, and Novak had one of the best season ever, still Nadal pushed him to a tiebreak in the first set, i think, the second set was a whole lot easier for Novak, but that version of Rafa gave us hope that he was getting back
And now it's been 10 years since Nadal won a set against Djokovic on hard courts. Also 10 years since he beat Djokovic on any surface besides clay

Actually I think it's more like the mind set. Rafa is insane against everyone but when it comes to Djokovic, he fell shorter.
In the last ten years Djokovic lost to many not so great players (who are nowhere near Rafa) but it's just that Djokovic pedals up against Nadal and Nadal seems to lose hope every time even before the match starts before he plays Djokovic.

Nole has been lucky against Rafa, he’s beaten Rafa in his worst seasons while also having his own best season. (2015,2021) When has Nadal gotten this lucky? I hope he gets this year, sleep well until that time.

They haven't really been meeting each other on hard tho. Apart from 2015-16 in Rafa's absolute worst form, they only met in 2019 AO and 2020 atp cup, both in Australia's favorite conditions for Novak. Who knows what could happen if they play every week on hard. Of course Novak is probably gonna win most of the times, I wouldn't bet on him 10/10.

Indian Wells 2016 was quite the turnaround in form for Rafa after his woes continued on from 2015 at the time. He got better after that, but then injuries stopped him again before he continued his resurgence in 2017.
This is how you play Rafa. If you can’t handle his forehand you’re likely in trouble

Also where else am I going to critique shorts except under shorts? Tennis TV has their most watched video in portrait so it's no surprise they are trying to make it work however usually it doesn't work.
Another testament to why shorts are not good is that a large chunk of top and bottom area is just filled with some random colour. Why crop in one dimension so much you have to crop in the other one as well?

Nadal has a 7-2 RG record vs Novak. Imagine if what he would do to Zverev. Although Sasha's fave surface is clay indeed, Nadal is far superior as a player overall and if he's healthy, you cannot not bet on him for the title. Of course anything can happen, but it's most likely him again for 14th time.

Medvedev has a similar hitting zone to Zverev yet he can't beat Rafa. Plus Zverev needs to work on his temper before he stands a chance against Rafa.

They should do something about these slow courts. These long rallies are so boring, and unnecessarily sapping the energy of the players and the spectators. At least I don’t have patience to watch a rally beyond 10 shots. I don’t know if this is contributing to more injuries. So many good players are out injured. There should be something done so that we get to enjoy tennis and nit affecting the long term health of these players.
The fact that there is basically no offseason in tennis (and too many tournaments) is the main contributor to injuries, not long rallies. Also an argument that 5 sets in majors is too many, but probably no one wants to see that go
Right I’d rather watch someone serve and run to the net like a chicken with his head cut off every damn point until a tiebreak comes to put me out of my misery.
