If yall payed attention to the game, y’all would’ve noticed that the only reason the chiefs didn’t score the second half its because they got precocious, they were only running the ball, they were not throwing it that much like the first half, they were daring lamar to put up points while killing the clock at the same time
I said the same thing; they took their foot off the gas. They knew that the Ravens couldn't move the ball on their defense. Once they got up two scores, all they had to do was protect the ball and not do anything crazy. If they had needed to score, there's no doubt in my mind Mahomes would have done so.
Keep repeating that to yourselves over and over until you believe that 💯......
I would agree if the coach was Kyle Shanahan. And Morehomes was not the QB.

For me the biggest factor of why KC lost is bc Kelce wasn’t getting those targets/catches that he was getting in the first half. The key to stopping Mahomes and the Chiefs is to make sure Kelce isn’t the main target. It’s one thing if Kelce is getting those targets, but if you can double Kelce and force Mahomes to throw to his other receivers or forcing them to run, they’re vulnerable.

The Ravens defense didn’t hold the Chiefs to 17. The Chiefs had no reason to show their cards on tape. They could have scored more but choose to run the clock out.

Baltimore tripping Chris Jones in the end zone, if called, would have resulted in a safety. 29-7. And maybe 29-10 - though with that lead, the Raven's likely go for it instead of the FG. Don't get it twisted, Baltimore, it was never as close as the scoreboard showed.

Last i checked the kc defense is top 3 for a reason. This is a lot for a qb to overcome.
Lamar definitely wasn’t his best, but I thought the offensive calls were somewhat questionable. They barely ran the ball… the WRs were struggling to get open most of the game… and the taunting penalty then fumbled touchdown by Flowers really killed Lamar and the team’s momentum. Furthermore, the Ravens didn’t play a balanced game on offense, seeing as they were too dependent on passing the ball. I think that really made it easy on the KC defense. So, Lamar had a bad game, but it was an overall bad offensive performance. I can’t put all the blame on Lamar. He did lead an almost successful comeback, but penalties/turnovers no fault of his own killed it.

How could the real story NOT be mahomes winning an away game vs number 1 defense in the league with mvp at QB for afc champ with rice, scantling and watson as receivers (most drops in the nfl)...after a shaky season...? I dont think the story is how the ravens defense or lamar choking against the number 2 defense in the league is the story. is it really surprising the ravens somehow found a way to lose to a guy who is 14-3 in the playoffs and just won superbowl mvp the previous year and has missed the superbowl only one year of his starting career??? but thats just me.
The goat discussions always seem to forget they got teams around them. Mahomes had to endure the best pass rush/cover combo in the league after them adjusting to get back from a 10-pt deficit. He got shut out because his line kept being beat quickly, which was pretty much expected. Whenever he was able to properly execute, he did a great job. If anything, Nagy was unable to properly respond.
