May I suggest that you prestack your ham and cheese and use a old ketchup bottle for the ease of delivering your batter to the iron. Much easier. So many possibilities. Great video. Thanks for sharing, I love your new waffle maker.

Double up a damp paper towel and press in the iron to steam cleam .

I would pour both bottoms at the same time and let the waffle iron divide them. Then add the cheese and ham and then the top. Rather than fumbling doing one at a time.

I make my gluten free bread as waffles. I use my waffles for bread for sandwiches. Now I have discovered chaffles and use them as bread for fried egg sandwiches or salad sandwiches with ranch dressing. 😊

We've been doing "wafflewiches" for several years. We make something similar to this recipe, but I substitute cornmeal for half of the flour. I also grate Swiss cheese and add it to the batter. The cornmeal makes the wafflewiches a bit heartier and crisper. We also do cake waffles for dessert - warm carrot cake waffles with ice cream are truly decadent (and a good way to get veggies into kids)!

I think you made the waffle sandwiches just perfect. Love your show! We lived in El Paso and I sure would have loved to have known those bathroom tips! Lol. We would go on picnics in the mountains. Graduated High School at Burgess High in 1973. My father was stationed at Fort Bliss. Got married, had kids, got divorced, and went back to school. Graduated with a Masters in Business from Wayland Baptist University and retired from Civil Service. Time sure flies when you're having fun! Lol. I'm 69 now and am forever grateful to my Lord Jesus for letting me retire and having my children. Amen!!

We love making savory waffles. We will do essentially the same thing but we flavor our batter with extra savory seasonings like pepper, onion, garlic, etc. 👨‍🍳 Love the idea of bulk batching and having them ready to go!! 🤩 Jims sauce talk just gave me the idea of adding a mornay sauce and a fried egg to the top for a take on a classic Croque Madame!! 😋

Oh, you've done it now 😊! Chief Tuckabuckaway made waffles this morning for breakfast. He saw this video and now has a list of 'stuffing' ideas, Turkey bacon among them. Not for the freezer, but tomato sliced thinly for some other combos. This is a great idea 💡 stuffed waffles! Thank you ❤❤❤❤.

Not sure if someone has already mentioned, but for those who need low carb batter, the keto community of keto dietary folks make "chaffles". Hubby has T2 diabetes so I use alternative bread batters, etc. I really enjoy using your ideas as a base and modifying if necessary. Thank you for all you do for us! 🤍🙏

I have not read other comments, so if I duplicate, I apologize.
If speed is an issue, why not make the interior individual stacks before you start. Like a small row of cheese/ham/cheese, pick all 3 pcs up at once... less time while iron is open.
    Thanks for video. jjs

This is pretty great! Your video about when you got that waffle iron inspired me to finally get a waffle iron after many years of debating it with myself, and I've been collecting savory-waffle ideas. 😂 I'll definitely try this. I couldn't find the waffle iron that you have but found another that I really like. Cooks consistently, cleans easily, stows away nicely.

when you have to crack several eggs just practice in a small bowl one at a time.. you will get the hang of it quickly. it's easy to learn. with thumb and 2 fingers hold the egg and with the other 2 fingers pull the egg apart. crack the egg first while holding. when I used to cook professionally I could do 2 eggs at time in both hands
