I don't have any of the WRMK punch boards so it was neat to see this in action. I love your video on making the slimline envelopes using a scoring board and scissors. Works great!
You made me go and look for mine! I've got the 1, 2 , 3 board that has the extension arm. It is PRISTINE. Now if it will allow me to make Envelope boxes, I may very well keep it. Otherwise, I do believe it is going to get destashed when I go through my Scrapbox as I am going to MAJOR OVERHAUL IT. I used to teach and I have a TON of paper I'm NOT USING. I may do Zoom classes, will have to chew on that. You are now going to make me fiddly-fart with mine to actually see if it is a keeper or not. XOXOXO
You have the original punch board (grey) and I believe there was an issue with the measurement guide initially and that WRMK released a replaement (corrected) sticker for it. However, if you pick up the white version it may have correct measurements. Also, I believe there is an arm underneath for score marks going off the board. The 1-2-3 Board is actually a better tool, that combines Envelope, Bow, and Box boards together. I love your bust it out videos as a good reminder to use the old stuff.
I had that one too. I saw where they had out a new one called 1-2-3 punch board which punches envelopes, boxes and bows. I like it much better. It has an arm extension which really helps with the slimline envelopes. I almost always use the instructions you gave us for the 2 slimline envelopes. But I have used this board for smaller slimline envelopes. Love that you did this video. Hugs
Thanks for the info, Beda!! I have seen that newer one, I didn’t buy it yet because like I show here… I never even used the first one! LOL! I hear it does a better job.
I have had mine about 4 years. See, you can't keep that stuff forever! Don't be a collector.....like me!!! Oh wait....you already are!!! Lol We R does have a new board, came out a month or two ago, for slim line and minis, maybe you can handle that one! Lol
We R Memory Keepers came out with a slimline envelope punch board. I purchased it on the last craft day on HSN. I also found a video where someone figured out how to make a gusseted slimline envelope. I use it all the time and love it!
Oh Yay! I have that punch board. Good to know I can make slimline and mini slimline envelopes with it. I would have it open from the end. Thanks for the video!
"I love a good gimmick" - I feel your pain!! I have the MK 1-2-3 Board (similar concept as this, but it makes envelopes, boxes & bows) and have a love/hate relationship with it. Whenever I make a batch of envelopes it takes a few envelopes practice before I get in the groove - literally and figuratively - and they start looking right (kinda like pancakes - the first couple don't usually turn out lol). I use paper that I don't like for those and fix problems with the first few. It does make a nice looking envelope but it takes a little practice and engineering like you were seeing when you played around. I have also torn edges on certain papers, but as you go on, you fine tune the pressure, etc. It's not a perfect tool, but once I go through the initial process each time to get an envelope I like, I prefer it to envelope dies. Good luck! 🙂
It's not great! LOL!! I did a deep dive now, and it looks like mine isn't even the first one with wrong measurements...it's just an ugly envelope it makes. LOL!!! TYSM!
I just looked at my WRMK All in one tool, which I love, it does not list either slimline size for making envelopes. Lol. I did purchase the slimline board from HSN, it makes better envelopes 😀
I have the 123 envelope punch board. I use it every now and then. WRMK used to have an app for the envelope punch, which was a great tool for even more custom envelopes. You put the size envelope you want, and it would calculate the paper size and where to align measurement.
I have this punch board and have used it a lot for making envelopes. It's so handy for odd-shaped cards. I DO wish they'd made the base a tad bigger so your scoring tool didn't drop off the edge when using larger paper and maybe tear it. You kind of have to 'fudge' it a bit.
Great video. I have the WRMK’s slimline punch board. I haven’t played with it yet. I didn’t think to look on my envelope punch board to make slim-lines! Nice review. TFS, stay blessed 😍🌸
I have that exact same envelope punch board and like it. I used it with the Valentine Paper pad you had purchased from Michaels (so of course, I had to go get the paper pad). I used the Valentine paper to make the envelopes with AG dies to write the address. Grandkids seemed to like it a lot.
I used a scoring tool this past weekend to make envelopes. I had to put card on it & use my own measurements by eye-balling it. I felt the struggle. Good video!
I use my envelope punchboard regularly and love it. I don’t like the excess that sticks up so always cut it off as you did. With the larger envelope you did I either do it like the one that worked for you or I cut from the corner to the tip so that it will be short enough. If my card has lots of embellishments, I put the card in to see where to tape or glue so that it will not be too snug.I just bought the slimline card and envelope punchboard. It makes mini and regular slime lines. I’ve made several cards and envelopes since getting it and love it too. They are my favorite punchboards. I think there is supposed to be somewhere at WeR that you can get measurements for odd sizes that aren’t listed. When my paper is too long for the punchboard, I score as far as possible and then use that score to fold so it goes to the end of the paper. Then I don’t tear the paper or have to guess where the line is for the next punch and score.
I bought it thru your video just because you made this entertaining, 😂. I agree with you with the over flap, I’m going to see if I’m able to challenge this one also, we will see
I think you have discovered what a lot of folks have known for a LONG, LONG time.....sometimes the math on these boards works and sometimes it doesn't! I'm still scratching my head and wondering how and why they made the board so short when they clearly have calculations for paper sizes that exceed the board size! Thanks for showing this!
I LOVE my envelope punch board. It's soo easy and works so well. tFS....That being said... i also really like the tutorial you gave on making slimline envelopes. That works great too! there's a swing out arm for longer paper underneath... at least there is on mine. i have the gray one and a white one....
I have the WRMK 1,2,3 combo punch board too. I just love 💕 your bust it out videos and you made me smile when you said the punch board was 7 years old 😆 oh my envelopes are always off just a little too. I use the updated sticker WRMK included with my board 🤔 I guess I'm picky 😂 I do really like the look where you cut off the 1st envelope, nice 🙂
I use mine envelope maker quite often, but I have a an old WRMK I bought about 7 years ago from HSN and their a lever that extends for those larger envelopes for score line. For those slimline envelopes you do have to cut the flap and make shorter.
I have an older model with a swing out arm so you don’t score off the end of the paper but it has a slot but no little pointy guide to line the score line up with so you have to guess to score in exactly the right place. If all goes well it makes a nice A2 or 5 x7 or fatter size of card. I kind of figured it would have a long pointy flap on the slimline envies. TFS
Good morning, I have lots of the WRMK punch boards and love to use them. The one I don’t have and have always wanted is the pillow box. I use a score board, scissors, trimmer, or dies to finish off or decorate the bottom and/or top flaps. Make it work! The one I had trouble with is the all in one, one of the punches broke off the first use, ugh.
I have the worst time with them, some of that comes from my sense that it should do what it says without bringing out extra stuff to make it work. I actually have the pillow box board, too! Never been opened! Too funny!
I use my envelope punch board all the time. Once you get to the 3rd side, your envelope should match the first measurement that you made. So for yours, on side 3, your paper should have been at 3 1/8" again, not at 3 1/4". I usually use a regular scoreboard to continue the line if it is too long for the punch board. And I hate having that huge bottom portion of the envelope also, and I usually just cut it off.
I do know that (like when using the CC Enveloper, etc…), although the instructions pretty much said just to follow the score lines after you do the first measurement. I didn’t really do a 3 1/4 measurement other than when I went to mess around with it on my own later. I just mentioned that it was closer to the 3 1/4. Either way, it makes an ugly slimline envelope. Lol!! Thanks for your feedback on it, I’m glad you get good use from it!!
@@VianneyCreates Now there's a waste of my money. I could never get decent envelopes with CC's enveloper. If you have a tutorial on using that, I should probably go watch it. Haha! I don't use my punch board for slimline envelopes, but I do use them for A2 and odd sized cards all the time. I just bought the slimline punch board because I'm hoping it does "pretty" slimline envelopes. I have to give it a try though.
I had that board and experienced the same problem with some of the envelopes. Turns out the measurement chart was not correct for some of the envelopes. As a result I did not use the board and got rid of it. I later found out there was a problem with the chart and they corrected the chart and had it available on line. Since I already got rid of the board, I didn’t look into it. I ended up getting a new board a few years ago and it works fine.
Well, I just recently bought a WRMK punch board for slimline envelopes and guess what? I had the same issues with the board being a bit short when scoring the paper and the measurements being a bit off. What was more frustrating was that the directions were unclear. I had to flip the paper over after doing two sides to get the proper scoring and folding - I had to figure that one out by myself. WRMK needs to go back to the drawing board ( sorry for that one! ) Thanks for the video - I feel a bit better...
I had the same thing happen and wasted a bunch of paper - could NOT figure out what was wrong. Finally went back and watch their video and in that it said to flip the paper. I was glad it worked but still upset that I wasted all of that paper.
They sure do! I didn't jump for it as I hardly ever use the boards I already have (as you see here with this ancient one), but I hope it works well for folks!

Yeah, this one is the oldest one (maybe second to oldest as the numbers are "correct." Just no swing arm.) I'll stick to making them my way or using the CC boards I have, those are pretty great once you get the hang of it. (:
Hi! Thanks for the video. Using the machine, I make all my slimline envelopes as the policy ones because of the long overhang! Life’s too short to fight envelopes! 😂 Love the video🥰

I don't think I've ever used my punch board, and now I have purchased the punch board for the slim line cards and envelopes...WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? Lol. TFS! Wouldn’t it have been easier to just cut the overhang off the flap and then use the corner rounder to round the corners? I have one of those somewhere.???? Lol
Hi!! I'm not sure what you mean by cut off the overhang...but if you mean cut it flush and then use the corner rounder...that won't work. Corner rounders only accept papers that are perfect right angles (90 degrees), and cutting off the extra part of the flap would leave two weird "corners." I hope that makes sense.
@@VianneyCreates Well, ain’t that funky now, lol! I always assumed I just needed a corner of any degree. That’s why you have a UA-cam channel and I don’t. Lol 😂
Go to this link to see how to get a more accurate envelope when your paper goes off then envelope maker board: ua-cam.com/video/ASUawKRLZxE/v-deo.html. You still have to trim the ends for any type of slim line card.

Lol 😂
Box cutter knife!
Aye!
Go to this link to see how to get a more accurate envelope when your paper goes off then envelope maker board: ua-cam.com/video/ASUawKRLZxE/v-deo.html. You still have to trim the ends for any type of slim line card.
That looks like a HOT MESS of a tool! That just didn’t make sense.
It's crazy...it's also one of the first ones they put out...people say they love the new one. However, the slimline envies are still "big flapped!" LOL!! Not great.
