Y'all are going to become windshield splatter unless you stick more to your lanes when you ride. Looks a like fun place to ride from a fellow 500-er. I'm going to listen for the "ding" the next time I pin my bike to know when to let off the throttle ; )
Schwer zu sagen, ob die 500er auf der geraden etwas unterlegen ist, was ich nicht unbedingt finde. Durch die Kurven geht sie natürlich besser. Die Strecke ist aber echt ein Traum.
On the straights we weren't racing anymore, he just tested his top speed! But in the corners he does have the advantage of lower weight. Furthermore a big part is also the skills, I didn't have much experience on the 701 by then and the 500 guy is just loco 😉 Still an awesome road!
I agree! We normally keep to our lanes for safety and to have more twists, but same friendly competition and just the enthousiasm in the moment made us go for the shortest time instead of twists. This section is rather a neglectable fraction of our time on twisty roads
You can see it’s not moving at 200kph, i’m not even sure about the 160, it does not look that fast. And the gearing to reach 200kph on the 701 would make it rubbish at low and intermediate speed where it’s most fun…. it’s got to top at 160/170 max to give its full.
The 701 was better for the fast corners, but the EXC is lighter and more maneuverable in the short technical hairpins. But in the end, it's mostly preference and rider's skill.
Your 500exc real speed is about 180kmh no more o think! Only sumos that can reach 200 kmh properly and fast is the Husky 701, KTM 690, Aprilia SXV 550 and the Big Berg FS 650!

Was the speedometer adjusted for sumo rims? Cuz 200 on a 500 would be crazy if it was the real speed
ya considering how fast it got to 200 its definitely not adjusted. I have the same model 500 and mine is nowhere near that fast lmao
@@Wurminator It was indeed not adjusted! That would be crazy
what handguards do you have? can you send the link?
Gorgeous ride, 500 keeps up with the 701
Thanks it was!
Beautiful road to just ride up and down
It was!!
That 1st corner? Where do I know it from? Grand tourismo?
I doubt it but would be nice though 😉
He put his foot out like he's on dirt haha
he's a dirtbike rider.... bad habbits
@@Motorvation. same here
Which exhaust is on the 701? Sounds very nice
Thanks! It's the akrapovic
What sprocket is on the 500. 44t?
I'm guessing 14/46, but I'm not sure cause it's a while ago
What camera did you use?
a gopro hero 8 black, and a 4 black or 7 white, sut sure about the latter
Awesome road, what country is this in?
Italy!
@@Motorvation.where excactly is that
@@pandaWellington the road from Storo to Bezzecca!
Never could understand wanting to go drive twisty roads, then straightening out all the turns by driving in the opposite lane.

201 kph =125 mph for real ??? on the KTM 500 or Husquarna 701 ?????????
It was the dash of the ktm, but it was still calibrated to dirtbike wheels, so the real speed was probably around 160 km/h
But the 701 can do a top speed of 200 (on the dash) with the right gearing

Where is this ? 😍😍
The road from Lago d'Idro to Lago di Ledro in Italy 😉
@@Motorvation. thanks a lot ! I‘m riding at lago di garda this summer with Friends and this could be a nice day-trip
@@philippschulze5650 I would recommand it!! It's worth it. We are going back to this summer but not sure yet which lake, maybe como this year.
What gearing on Exc 500?
Wondering to, 15/45 perhaps ?
I'll ask, it's not my bike
He thinks 14/46, but isn't sure if that was the gearing during the trip
Which one did you like more in the canyons ?

i think it was bezzecca, realy cool place in italy, i go there since i was a kid!
Yes! It was the road from Storo to Bezzecca. An amazing place!
nice video, but the 701 driver shifted early at the beginning and used not the full power...
(I have a 701)
I know, it was the second week I had the bike so I was still getting used to it
@@Motorvation. ah okay, i understand... But nice Video 👍
@@zweirad_banause4967 thank you!
I bro provano a nascondere la loro italianità
Sick bikes 👌🏻
Thanks!
the 500 looks effortless. While the 701 seems like it's struggling a little. Could just be riding style..
It was the latter 😉 I was only driving the 701 for two weeks at that point, and less crazy in the head than the other one 😂
Ya man, get some!

Yes I know the dash isn't correct at that speed. I'll get it out of the title because it obviously has a clickbait effect.
The 500 has the horses to do it with the right gearing, but it's a struggle to get there ;-)
Tacho auf 17" umstellen, das sind nie im Leben 200 km/h :)
Yes, I just figured his gearing so doesn't seem real
But still makes a great video 🙃🥴
@@Motorvation. it‘s a awesome video 👌🏻😊
@@sebbalw Thanks!!
Btw. Meine 500er hat die 200 gepackt nachdem wir eine mx ecu dran gesteckt und programiert haben.
