All what the author stated does not autheticate his evidence that the Igbo are of Jewish Descendants. First, you can see alot of that in Arab culture too. You can see it in Ancient Egypt culture and practice too. What we fail to realise is that we are in present day formed by inter - relationship through trade, our tribal co-existence or cohabitation, wars and conquers, inter-marriages, slavery, famine, migration, dominant cultures etc, we've adopted and adapted traces of each others cultures, customs, belief and practices. The Ancient Egyptians practised circumcision. The practice of not having sex with your wife during and after her menstrual cycle has been practised in many ancient religions prior to Christianity due to infection that it can cause the female. She is open to infection at that time and even after the birth of a child. In most cultures, to avoid her enticing the man, she is expected to sleep in another area from him ( as men aren't disciplined in that aspect). We have shared many things over the centuries that some ways of life have been adapted as similarity in tradition and customs. Why don't we just deal with the NOW. We have all evolved and would continue to evolve. So our concerns are more of 'WHO ARE WE NOW'? Why are we bothered of 'who were we'? Our concerns should be about our present environment. As we know, we are shaped by our current environment. I am sure if we could trace our DNA, we all have various bits of everywhere and some of us from different tribes and countries share some ancestral commonalities. In a DNA result, 2 men that were picked as they looked alike came from different countries. Their countries were in different continents but the DNA proved that centuries ago, they originated from the same little area in Northern Europe. The 'Now' determines where you are from than some 3000 years ago.
This is our way of life, igbo people did learn this from any religion.
The way you talk is sometimes not smart...you say “the Hausas say “ the “ Yoruba say” etc you generalize and that’s fucked up there are different origins to the Igbo origin not all Igbo agree with this Jewish talk...some say other wise...and if truly Igbo are the original Jews it is possible that the reason why the western Jews are white is because they moved away from the heat of Africa and you are the original Jews , but on the other hand one Yoruba man is out there on UA-cam speaking fact about the fact that those yorubas might be the original Jews.
