5:30am? Oh uh uh. I want a 4 day work week but 5:30am wont work for me. Id rather do 8am-7pm. But i dont even need a 4 day work week if they will let me work from home one day a week.
I've been saying this for years. It's ridiculous that corporate profits and productivity keep going up, yet wages haven't kept up since then 70s. And it's been almost 100 years since we got the 5 day work week. It's time to give the working man something back. Either tie wages to inflation and corporate profits and/or give us all 5 days pay for 4 days of work. And while we're at it, make corporations offer pensions again since the 401k is a joke unless you're middle class and certain politicians keep trying to gut social security, which we already paid into.
People worked hard to the bone for thousands of years. We as a species have deserved to finally enjoy our life. I support even less work days. Let the robots do all the hard work.
I worked 4 day work weeks (10 hr/day) for 25 years and it's not for the faint hearted. Thing is which days you have off can REALLY matter depending on your lifestyle and family considerations. For me working 4 straight days made me a zombie on my 1st day off each week because I was brain dead & exhausted. But Wed/Sat/Sun off was my golden shift and I absolutely loved it 😍
But this isn’t that. The idea is to work less hours and make the same amount of money because you’re more productive. Not to cram 40 hours into 4 days.
Good. This need, along with many other reforms, need to happen to how jobs work in the modern day. A job is there to serve the life of the employee. But if you're working all the time, you don't have a life. We need time to actually enjoy living. Spend time with family and actually relish being alive. As far as customer service goes, hey here's an idea, how about we all stop expecting the impossible from companies and realize there are actual human beings slaving away to satisfy your every whim. Stop expecting instant results and learn to wait.
No, it’s a 32-hour work week. Due to more rest and higher satisfaction, productivity actually increased, so the employees got more done in 32 hours than they did in 40 hours. Happier employees are more loyal and more productive. It’s a win-win
Yes, 32 hours that’s the whole point. What’s the point in cramming 40 hours into 4 days? That is not improving productivity. The idea is to give more time back to workers so they can have better quality of life. Why wouldn’t you want that?
A 4 day work week seems like a fair trade for a 5 day work from home work week. Leadership gets to keep an eye on employees and employees don’t become shut-ins and are able to touch grass like they used to before Covid. Everyone wins!
People are getting lazy want to work less however makes the same money and same health care. Do they actually expect to receive both of those? Ya those idiots probably do
BS... working in an office consists of chatting with coworkers and more outdoor lengthy lunches. I myself have been a remote employee for over 10 years and hardly ever step out for lunch and just eat at my desk. When you're in an office you feel more of an obligation to talk with people get to know them go to lunches more happy hours things like that.
I been saying this for years. I'm very much interested in 4 days work week. But, here in America corporate greed wouldn't favor that.
You are lazy sir
@@Fortniteclipz2014 Nope. The OP is correct.
@@Fortniteclipz2014Why? For wanting more than two measly days off?
I worked 4 10 hour shifts, 530am-4pm minus break. Mon-Thurs. Life was so great having a 3 day weekend is truly life changing.

Why do news anchors talk like that? Why can’t they talk like normal people?
Ask the companies who run media...old school way.
That’s why we’ll rather get our news from UA-cam or sumn. The news is so fake. They try to hard to be perfect
Lol “normal” (?!?)

So if people are struggling to make ends meet with 40 hours, how are they expected to make it on 32?
Four 10-hour days...
Total revenue for the companies stayed the same or increased, so they can afford paying workers the same.
@@conr2141 I see that, but will they actually pay it is a different conversation I didn’t see discussed

3-4 days is the best for us and our families
Yeah if you can afford it…that’s nice
4 day 10 hours each = 40 hours a week same as 5 days 8 hours each. Go back to school

actually employees could make more money cause they will also change so anything over 32 hours is overtime.

You should prove how hard of a worker you are by working 80 hours a week with overtime like before the 40 hour work week became standard
