Hi Josh, I have passed my test yesterday at Newcastle test centre after failing seven times. I have only just watched this video before going and I went on the exact same route. Thank you ever so much for doing this.
Hi Josh, passed my test today at the Newcastle test centre, just wanted to say your videos were a massive help and gave me so much more confidence going into the test today!
Hey Josh. Fun to see an instructor in the local area. I learned around Warrington and Northwich but have been driving around NUL/SOT for 10 years now. I am curious to know how you would instruct someone on the road joining the roundabout at 3:40 (Nelson Place Roundabout?) from the east - Two two lane roads (A52 and A53) join into a three lane road without lane markings for the first portion. The middle lane just seems to be a bit of a free-for-all.
Hi, at 3:30 according to the road markings you should be in the right lane approaching the roundabout to take the A53. That's the right most exit you can take (the one after that is a no entry). I know there are two lanes on the roundabout and two lanes on the exit so the road markings are really bad.
Thanks Nick but no that is following the road ahead 3rd exit so it's left lane.the right lane is for the 4th exit only or back on yourself. If you were to use the right lane to follow the road ahead you would fail your driving test and possibly cause an accident. Maybe it looks confusing in the video.🙌
I think the confusion might be that I haven't taken the road for A53 towards basford roundabout, otherwise you would be correct I would have been in the wrong lane. Instead I was editing up the A527🙌
Hi love your channel, I am based in ireland and currently setting up a driving school, can I ask your advice, I was thinking of buying a 1.6 diesel to teach in, do you think it's too big an engine,
I failed in this same route which you mentioned “this is not dual carriageway” instructor told me to turn right from there all I thought that was dual carriageway and keep right track and find right turn. I failed though just one mistake 😢
That looks an awful route(s) Sat my first mock test today and failed (2 serious and 4 minors) main thing was I learnt loads from it and wasn’t a bag of nerves which gives me hope for my next one at the weekend!
My last mock I did before my last test ( cobridge) I got 8 serious and 6 minor no joke. Then I did my test and got 1 serious and 5 minor. I'm doing a Newcastle test now and crapping it as I don't do lessons around Newcastle and live cobridge test way x

That's brilliant Alison! Mock tests are great way to prepare for the test. You get to make all the mistakes before hand 😁
